  1. Like to see Scotty get a jump and go.
  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 12:38 PM) I assume your referring to Mack. I think he's a solid bench player becuase he just tries to pull the ball and bench players must get more FB's on the Pirates or something. Cause his swing is hedious looking. Not that Anderson's is pretty. Everyone says Mack is streaky though so I'm waiting. He is versatile though which is nice. No, I was talking about Cintron. His swing the times I've watched him play this year is long(I haven't seen to many games though ). It might not be that way all the time but it's looked ugly the times I've seen him.
  3. Lets go Pods, how about getting on base 2 times in a row?
  4. From what I've seen of Alex he has a long swing, it's amazing that he can be effective as a bench player with that swing. Very impressive.
  5. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 12:31 PM) Well, we all know Freddy always struggles in the beginning.. and he did that already with the two walks. Now, with a 3 run buffer, he should get it going. I just want to see his fastball hit 95 today. Come on Freddy! His fastballs can hit 40 all game if it gets the job done.
  6. Hopefully having the lead doesn't put Freddy to sleep.
  7. The best pitch Towers threw all inning.
  8. Amazing when you're struggling you get right into the hole.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 12:26 PM) Now we need Freddy to hold onto this lead. Is it supposed to rain a lot today? DJ just said the weather was crappy. The sod father said it's supposed to hold off so we'll see. The rally one with a knock.
  10. Bullets everywhere. Cmon Rally one.
  11. YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD YESSSSSSSSSSS MVP MVP MVP
  12. Got a cookie and missed it.
  13. Ok, here comes our hottest hitter. Do it Paul.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 11:45 AM) I think I may go for the Jimmy John's instead of the cereal tonight. Big spender. Jimmy Johns sucks.
  16. Hopefully Freddy sees Toronto as a threat and just dominates.
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 01:25 AM) Defensively...easily....offensively, probably not. Sizemore Jones Hunter Edmonds Beltran Those are 5 guys I'd no doubt take over Rowand (money being equal). I'm sure there are at least a few more, but thats adding offense into the equation. None of those guys come close to Aaron, not close. Sorry.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 01:18 AM) Considering how he hit the 2nd part of last season, I am quite surprised it took him this long to find a spot. He hit with some power late in the year for the Tigers. Had to at least make a few organizations think he had finally figured things out (lets not forget he was pretty damn talented back when he was in the Athletic's system). He's a pretty darn good fielder as well. He does have some holes in his swing though, I'm not sure he'll ever be that great of a hitter but he could be a nice bench player that could supply some power.
  19. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) 1) Freddy Garcia, Carlos Guillen, and John Halama got Houston into the playoffs one year indirectly. RJ then bolted for Arizona. You take the playoff birth over the specs every time with 1 exception, that being if your in the Cleveland Indians state as of 2004, where you are in a growing/maturing mode, where the players getting experience is more important long term than getting to the playoffs. 2) Miguel Olivo, Jeremy Reed, and Mike Morse netted the Sox a 2nd place finish in 2004, and the World Series clinching starter in 2005. Sometimes you can resign those guys...sometimes you can't. Sometimes it's worth the roll of the dice, sometimes it's not. If I think I'm a stud starter away from winning the whole thing, I'm selling my future for a winner...if I think I can resign him, etc... Regardless, both Thomas and Oakland are notoriously slow starters. I want to see what both look like in July...I think I have a pretty good idea of what I will see right now already. Ya, I should have added that I highly, highly doubt Oakland is out of the playoff race come the deadline. Their pitching is just too good for that to happen.
