This is a true story, kind of scary also. This is my high school and I heard about this today. Our football team played at North Chicago on Friday and well we gave them a whooping 42 to 12 I believe was the final score. Anyways after the game I guess they were mad at us and someone(not from the team) actually shot at our school's equipment bus. Thank god nobody got hurt but I guess the bullet grazed by the bus drivers head. Very unfortunate someone would be this mad over a high school football game to do this. Some people are just nuts. :headshake

Garcia's number aren't great but he'll be absolutely fine. His injury was effecting his velocity and he got knocked around a bit but he'll be fine. Contreras has had 2 really bad starts but in his last start he really started using his fastball a lot more which is huge for him. His numbers weren't great that start but it was a very solid start and I think he made a lot of progress in that start, I really believe Contreras is going to impress a lot of people next year but that's jmo. Garland is a good 5th starter and Buehrle is Buehrle.

Carlos and Pauly have more trade value then frank and Frank is still a better hitter then both of them. That's why we shouldn't trade Frank over those two. EDIT: By the way, Welcome aboard!!!

One more starter to bump contreras and garland down would make our rotation very, very solid. Now the bullpen has to improve, hopefully we can add two arms to the bullpen. What I'm saying about the offense is we need a true leadoff hitter and we need to make it more solid from top to bottom-no easy outs, the marlins basically have had 3 easy outs for the majority of the year.

Pitching, Pitching, and more pitching. Go after the pitching first like you said we don't have enough money to get Carlos and a topline starter. Go after the front of the rotation starter before we go after anything else. We also probably need two bullpen arms. Fill the pitching through fa and add maybe a vizquel and then fill in the offense with trades, atleast that's what I think we should do.

I've never been one to underestimate the twins and I never will be. They could probably stick me or you in there to play ss next year and we'd produce.

They had no true catcher for the majority of the season, their ss is a great defender but can't hit, they have no dh of course they're not going to score a ton of runs. I think people mean we need to get the two guys at the top of the order that can get on base and run, not imitate their whole lineup.

A dh, a lf, a cf and either a 2b or ss with Juan.

There are definitely going to be some huge changes coming, imo. There are only a couple guys on offense who are for sure going to be around next year. As far as the pitching staff, Buehrle, Freddy and Jose are definitely going to be here, Garland I think will still be pitching here as well although I'm not positive about that. In the bullpen I'm sure Damaso, Shingo, Cotts, and Adkins will be around but from there who knows. So overall there aren't a ton of guys that are safe so to speak on the roster, jmo.

He definitely should be someone the sox look into in the offseason(after pavano of course ) As long as Radke's not on the twins next year, I'll be happy.

Definitely. Both teams always have high expectations but f*** up down the stretch. Granted, this year Miami doesn't have high expectations but this s*** gets old after a while. It's hard year in and year out watching my favorite teams just go down the crapper, especially the sox. Then comes football season I always get excited but Miami usually chokes when it gets cold outside. Well, there's my rant for the day.

The game was pitiful. Offensively they are absolutely brutal but defensively they're outstanding. Unfortunately because of how disgusting the offensive line is they don't have a chance of doing anything this year.

Damn, Miami's d just worn down at the end. Unfortunate too because they played one hell of a game and kept the team in the game. I'll say it again, the offensive line was just pitiful.

Haha, when I first saw KW my first thought was why is there about kenny williams in the sports bar. Then I saw II and soldier and realized it was Winslow. Anyways huge loss for the Browns. I'm sure we still haven't heard the last from Kellen Winslow, I mean literally hear from him.
