You said things don't miraculously turn around, my point is things can change around very quickly, right as they go on a losing streak, they can go on a big winning streak and get right back where they along in first place.

Kenny already pulled off his blockbuster trade, that guy is named freddy garcia. A minor trade can really shake things up, this has been used as an example quite a bit but it's a great example the shannon stewart deal to the twins last year, shook up their whole team and basically won them the division.

Give me a break. The sox went on a 5 game losing streak to the flubs and angels and then right after losing 5 straight they went on a 4 game winning streak before the allstar break and got right back into first place, so yes things can change quickly.

He isn't hitting great, yet. He started off slowly last year when we got him also. He'll get it going, he's a good hitter and he'll be very key down the stretch for the sox.

I think Everett and Frank will both be back next year. I think the middle of the lineup will be good enough, what I would like the sox to do is go after Pavano or Perez and then find a guy or two who can hit at the top of the lineup.

You beat me to it. All those "great" arms we've had in the minor leagues for the most part have amounted to nothing. Kenny really hasn't traded away any real good young players except kip wells.

Yeah, that's definitely weird to see Gio have control problems. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he give up all his runs in the 4 inning? Maybe he got a little tired isn't the most he went so far 3 innings but mostly 1 and 2?
