Conan is having a "20 years of Conan" week for their 20th year on the air and it has been absolutely hilarious so far.

Blue Jays reportedly interested in Gordon Beckham
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 02:38 PM) If Hahn has been offered Lawrie and something else for Beckham and Danks, he better agree to the trade before the Molly wears off. And again, why pay John Danks $15 million a year when you have one of the better pitching prospects in the game almost ready to go? EJ is going to be in the rotation with or with out Danks here.

Blue Jays reportedly interested in Gordon Beckham
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 02:23 PM) Assuming a natural progression after his surgery, I don't think the Sox should be in a hurry to ditch Danks for cost savings. If someone wants to give us a nice offer for Danks that is one thing, but I really feel like he will be back to a mid-rotation starter this year. Even with his struggles last year, it wasn't the worst year ever. Get his fastball back to its 2010-2011 range, and the kid will be fine. Yup, that's where I'm at as well with Danks. I don't want to just dump him.

Blue Jays reportedly interested in Gordon Beckham
QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 01:43 PM) Beckham can retire, as far as I'm concerned. He's a stopgap at this point. It's always possible he'll break out, but it's always possible ANYONE will break out. That doesn't mean you make sacrifices to hold your breath. I'd send all three of them for Lawrie and not think twice. Santiago is the only one with substantial value, IMO. If you're sending over Danks, you're most likely picking up a lot of his contract, so now we lose 2 starting pitchers including a good young one and a Gordon Beckham and we're just getting another Gordon Beckham back? I don't understand that all.

2013-2014 NFL Thread
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 01:12 PM) 9th in points 15th in yards 27 sacks given up. Lost Sidney Rice for the year. They aren't the worst, but they are middle of the pack in the NFL. They're 11th in yards. Obviously their offensive line has been awful but their offense as a whole has still been above average.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 30, 2013 -> 11:25 AM) Seahawks offense looks like crap right now. They may need to call Lance Easley to help them out. They had one bad game, sure it was an awful game but they've been pretty good beside that.

If you could get anything of value for Mitchell, you trade him but you won't be able to so you hold onto him.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 29, 2013 -> 09:44 PM) Butler had a hell of a game. Boozer was absolutely owning as well. It's too bad literally nobody else showed up. Losing Butler and Deng to early foul trouble really f***ed the Bulls. Oh well. Butler is going to keep getting better, no doubt in my mind. It'd be so damn nice if Boozer could consistently score against Miami but I have no reason to believe that's going to happen.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 29, 2013 -> 09:39 PM) Jake, you need to settle down and go rub one out or something. I'm with you on some calls but poor shooting did them in more than anything. They'll be fine. 2nd quarter the difference. Yup, there were some frustrating calls but Miami was just the much better team tonight.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 29, 2013 -> 08:51 PM) Can Boozer stop reaching in? Just keep your hands up. He's done that his whole career, not sure how he's never been broken of that habit, basic f***in fundamentals. That being said, it's nice to see him actually be able to score against Miami.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 29, 2013 -> 08:16 PM) Tony Snell and Mike Dunleavy were so f***ing bad. Terrible. They'll both make shots, Dunleavy is just off and Snell just as he was the first preseason game looks extremely nervous.

Ok I change my prediction to Pacers-Nets in the ECF. BTW not a fan of putting Jimmy into the game with 4.5 seconds left and 2 fouls, almost gave LeBron an easy bucket because of it.

Sox Sign Jose Abreu - 6/$68 million
QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 29, 2013 -> 05:52 PM) An old show with Colin Cowherd and Michelle Beadle on it. Too bad it's not on anymore. It's still on just with different people.

TNA has some really talented guys but outside Angle and Roode, im not sure how some of those other guys would fit within the WWE product.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 29, 2013 -> 04:02 PM) I'd be sobbing too if I'd just signed that contract, let alone coming from where he did. Let's hope this kid is a monster. Take it easy, chief. Stop talking for awhile. Agreed, we're not talking 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5
