  1. No more drinking.
  2. QUOTE (Tex @ Oct 27, 2013 -> 09:02 AM) BTW, I have no doubt that Ozzie would be better respected (ok I need a better word than respect) and his accomplishments seen in a more favorable light, if not for the efforts of Mr. Greg. The more Greg seeks to elevate the man, the further down we collectively push. Like everyone else associated with the team, he had good years and bad. His last year was bad and that is how we remember him best. He was awful after 05. The fact that he just gave up a few years ago rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, Greg or no Greg.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 26, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) Laces were in Dan! Ha, that was legit the first thing I thought.
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 26, 2013 -> 11:02 PM) I can't believe I forgot about Marte and Vizcaino. I knew there was another lefty in the pen and I just couldn't get the name. I was in 7th grade when we won so give me a break lol Ha, Viz is semi forgettable but I pretty much wanted to kill Damaso/Ozzie by the end of the season.
  5. Baseball is really f***in dumb.
  6. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Oct 26, 2013 -> 02:13 PM) Their D is about what I expected, maybe even a little better. The problem is the offense has been out of sync most of the year. Their offensive line stinks, a lot of holding penalties and false starts (plus somehow they have like 5 false starts on receivers). They're not a team that can consistently recover from penalties. I'm really worried about next year's offense without Colter, Simien has looked brutal this year. I haven't watched every minute but I feel that Simien at least looked adequate at the beginning of the year and has just gotten worse and worse as the season has went on.
  7. QUOTE (SpainSOXfan09 @ Oct 26, 2013 -> 01:17 PM) I'm not exactly sure they wouldn't prefer to ask for Sale instead. I am no expert but is Sale's upside much better than Price's? I mean from a delivery and mechanics point of view Price is much smoother but he has multiple winning seasons under his belt and 2 years of ARB control which will cost probably between 15-18 million each. Then come the Free Agency years that are sure to be north of 22-23 million and it gets crazy real quick. The thing that will really put Sale in the Kershaw and Price conversation as one of the top 3 lefty Aces is if he can have multiple winning seasons starting 2014. Then there is the question of his mechanics. Some on the board have already predicted his arm will fall off sooner rather than later but the blogger that posted this article seems to think that his delivery although violent will not be a long term injury concern. Who knows. It was a fun thread though. Nobody cares if he has "winning seasons" trust me on this. QUOTE (SpainSOXfan09 @ Oct 26, 2013 -> 01:25 PM) OK, but what about the whole question of mechanics? I know injuries can happen at anytime but I keep reading Sale is headed for TJ surgery at some point in his early career. Chris is at not higher risk of injury than any other pitcher in baseball, I assume people around baseball have started to realize this now.
  8. Man Northwestern sucks. Too bad.
  9. That quiz took me like 30 seconds. All those names are engraved in my mind forever.
  10. Just looked at my phone and realized it was October 26th, making this the 8 year anniversary of your Chicago White Sox becoming world champions. Hopefully Rick gets us back there soon but for now let's relive 2005, post videos, favorite moments, talk about the Rally Crede and how awesome Joe's hair was, I miss those days...

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Oct 25, 2013 -> 10:42 PM) I am starting to catch up on S2 of Revolution. One thing I have noticed about this season is it seems to be a lot funnier, which helps lighten the entirely too serious mood of the 1st season. The scene where the guy tells Myles about how his dad spoke of this legendary ranger in Texas named Walker was hilarious. And then Aaron had some funny liners as well. I'll keep watching. I'm one of the weirdos that actually liked Walker Texas Ranger(love me some cheesy action shows/movies)so I enjoyed that as well. Not saying it's amazing but I've enjoyed everything about this season of Revolution, it's kept me extremely entertained through out.

QUOTE (juddling @ Oct 25, 2013 -> 10:37 PM) I never watched Modern Family during it's initial run on ABC (other than a time or two) but now that it's on USA I've managed to watch it for a week or two (roughly 12 episodes or so) and I got to ask......does this show EVER get funny???? Oh my Lord.....I have never seen a show so over-rated like this one. Completely agree with you.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 25, 2013 -> 06:04 PM) I always thought one of Ozzies strengths was how he ran the pitching staff. When his starters gave him those complete games no one said it was stupid then. In fact wasnt Jerry Manuel criticized for yanking Garland consistently in the 6th and 7th innings? Ozzie would have been blasted had he removed a starter who was cruising and the bullpen got rocked. That was more Hawk than anything. I'm certainly not bashing the way he handled the staff in the 05 playoffs but the stuff with Garland was always overblown in my opinion.
  14. The Cubs would actually make sense if the Sox were going to move Sale but ya, not happening.
  15. I'll never get excited or angry about a hitting coach hire, it's a wait and see for me. That being said, I'm sure we'll want him fired soon.
  16. Well Peyton and Charles have been the 2 best players in fantasy, it shouldn't be that surprising that team has the most points.
  17. QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 24, 2013 -> 03:46 PM) I actually picked up a wax vac this morning with no luck...I'm sure the wax vac isn't near the "strength" of what a doctor would use, but I'm nearly positive it's some sort of damage vs wax/build up. You guys think the knee to the head that knocked me out is a plausible reason? Happened about a year ago, for much of the past year I was unemployed, and thus didn't have a cell phone or encountered anything that would have isolated the ear. I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty certain you would have noticed at some point, whether you're isolating the ear or not. I'd have to guess it's some type of build up that happened recently.

  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 23, 2013 -> 10:23 PM) I know this can be filed under "no s***, asshole." But Anthony Davis is going to be some kinda f***in' beast. No s***, asshole.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Oct 23, 2013 -> 10:15 PM) I agree! I stayed up way past my bedtime to watch it yesterday. I want one of those masks bad! I saw it was on tv, read the info for it and was very confused why Michael Myers wasn't in it, now I know.
  21. Derrick somehow looked quicker that half. Him and Buckets are running around like crazy people.
