  1. Not going to happen but I'd like Bobby V or even Brenly. I don't really want Tony LaR. I'd actually even prefer some young unknown to him. We should be rebuilding anyways. Getting LaRussa says the Sox are still in denial and not completely moving forward yet
  2. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 26, 2011 -> 11:19 PM) So if it's already decided that Cooper is coming back, the Sox probably already know who their next manager is. Kenny basically hinted at this in his presser
  3. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Aug 10, 2009 -> 06:06 PM) Resign Pods (yes that hurts me to say) to play LF, Rios in CF, CQ in Right next year whilst not rushing Danks2 up. I like it. This gives the Sox options. Either Dye to DH or keep Thome next year. If Podsednik completely loses it (or either of those guys) in this last stretch run then we'll see what they're made of. We don't even know if a guy like Dye would be stubborn to be a DH even though we all wrote him in as one. Who knows, all I know is the Sox now have options
  4. Kenny on a roll. Hey it's not my money. Very ironic after the 'support' comments though, lol, we go on to pick up two huge contracts. These aren't your daddy's White Sox...
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 5, 2009 -> 11:36 AM) Go away. This post has been edited by the Soxtalk staff to remove objectionable material. Soxtalk encourages a free discussion between its members, but does not allow personal attacks, threats, graphic sexual material, nudity, or any other materials judged offensive by the Administrators and Moderators. Thank you. I was being serious btw. Claim him for dirt cheap, send him to the minors, and if he gets it going and you have nothing in CF, you've got something. It makes less sense now of course after the Sox just got Rios...
  6. Brian Anderson made Pawtucket video highlights http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/media/p..._free&_mp=1 http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/media/p..._free&_mp=1
  7. Nix has had some nice moments at the plate but I would've had the Sox give Fields one more chance with Ramirez out. So Beckham moves back to SS for a week, he's good enough that it wouldn't bother him
  8. Hmm, just turned to MLB Network real quick and they are doing a live look in and said "Kendry Morales, the Cuban Missile, at the plate", did he have it first?
  9. Sounds like people just got it off his wiki. Got to love doing your research off wikipedia! For some reason I can't get the YouTube video from the OP to load past 20 seconds, but did she really ask him if the was 'the slayer' in that context? Awkward! She's cute, I wouldn't turn her away, but I think a pro athlete could do better btw. And that Birmingham news reporter that was brought up doesn't seem like anything special either from the 2 pics online...
  10. buy low and send him to AAA until the Pods magic wears off!
  11. This is terrible, send him back down Warning?? WTF
  12. "Take it away Stoney as I go pour cold water on this erection"
  13. Brutal start. Then the Circus trip ends and the Bulls come home to face Det for the first time and then go to Cle
  14. I used to be into this sort of stuff but I have to side with Y2 on this...I don't really see how this is that much better for you than eating something and forcing yourself to throw up right after. Just get on the good habits and your body will adjust
  15. I'm thinking of taking the Pace Sox Express, haven't done it before though. Nearest location isn't that close (though they do have a Cubs stop very close to me, grr) Going to try it if I'm getting to the game by myself, because with the extra people it's not even cheaper anymore
  16. Also, let's not forget the fact that we have guys like Beckham who are well under "fair market value" , so even by his standards this is a damn good deal
  17. Lame. If the Sox win the World Series this year or next everything he wrote is worthless. Having everyone on the roster at fair value doesn't do much for you if you don't win it all. He is also overrating what we gave up. I find it hilarious how our farm system is always trashed until we make one of these deals. And this is coming from a guy who believed in the likes of McCarthy and Gio and thought Clayton was okay but didn't have a great ceiling.
  18. What did Boone Logan used to throw here? I was listening to the Braves-Dodgers on ESPN Radio and they said he hit 97 and such (I don't think I remember him throwing that hard here? May help the US Cell gun theory if so), still didn't really help him tho
  19. Kind of interesting following this Boston-Baltimore game today. Earlier this year it was Baltimore who had that huge comeback against Boston right? Well Boston scored 6 through the first 3, and Baltimore then scores 6 total in the bottom of the 3rd. Then Boston followed with 7 in the top of the 4, then Baltimore started to pick away at that lead, now Boston added 2 more again and the final score is currently 15-10 Boston in the 8th
  20. Solid outing. Didn't see the 6th, but maybe a little quick hook (pitch count at 90, guess they want to be careful with him, though I'd just let him finish the inning, especially with the possibly of the pitcher's spot coming up in the bottom inning, which did happen) and reliever costs him the win. 5.2 IP, 2 hits, 1 run, 3 walks, 5 K's
  21. Figured the trade was fresh enough to post this as Sox material (do some work and move if not ) Doing well through 4. NL and Petco, could make him look pretty good
