QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 2, 2006 -> 05:56 AM) I hate to start the "The sky is falling!!" talk this early about one of our players, but is it too early to start worrying about Garland? Your thoughts? Considering we've got a decent amount of money tied up in Jon for the next 2+ years, do we have a cause for concern? Contract Info: 06:$7M, 07:$10M, 08:$12M 2006 Stats so far: Player W L ERA G GS CG SHO SV SVO IP H R ER HR HBP BB SO Garland 2 1 7.11 5 5 0 0 0 0 31.2 42 25 25 6 0 6 17 Thats an alarming HR/IP rate, and the WHIP isn't something to write home about either. Thoughts? Judy's back.

Where will BAs average be at the end of the year?
sayitaintso replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
My first instinct was to click .241-.260, but i think that BA will get up between .261-.280. I guess im really optomistic. -

QUOTE(chisoxdavid @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 12:15 AM) I have no problem with people wearing their Cubs hats or Jerseys to a Sox game but when they start to talk trash I just wanna . Just shut the hell up and watch the Champs. Oh and as for the wave, I have participated in them when we are gettin blown out, but as long as we are in it I dont really pay attention to fans tryin to start one. ^^^^^^^^^^^ -

some thoughts on my first sox game this season

QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:13 PM) no problem crowds were more annoying because... a) a bunch of them were cubs fans around me b.) they were more focused on the bulls game c) were trying to start the wave d) too loud at pointless times concourse and seating area smelled better with out smoking because the great smell of hotdogs and onions actually creeped into where I was seated It felt great to be back in the park because I love going to games, and I hadn't been there since game 2 of alcs game was entertaining is self explanatory hating the wave is also self explanatory at first I was a little disappointed to be sitting in sec 556, but once I got there it was really a fine view, the height messed with my perception but I could see just fine alright there you go I was at the game yesterday and some cub fan was wearing his Prior jersey and talkin a whole bunch of shi* which ruinedt the first part of the game until the sox started layin the smack down on the twins. -
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:25 PM) I think the Jeckle-BA lovefest is much funnier. I'm just going thru that thread now and getting some laughs. By the way, for Reading, Haigwood has 13 walks in 14 innings. 1-1, 3.07. WHIP of nearly 2. Gio Gonzalez: Individual Stats (Pitching) for Reading. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 01:42 AM) We could always give him singleton or farmer and have d.j. go do the radio. I think that would work wonders... I don't think that DJ is as bad as some of you make him out to be. I actually think that he is a pretty decent announcer.

#5 on that list is a joke. There is no way the Pedro and Tom Glavine should be that high.

Where is our 3rd Basemen Josh Fields, he wasn't on B'Ham's roster, so he should be on this one.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 07:06 PM) I thought he was going to report to Charlotte. He probably elected to become a free agent instead and wait for a major league job. Who would offer him one?

I could just as easily say the straight bills are for gangsters, thugs, and rappers.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 11:41 PM) $500/player, going towards league dues, travel expenses (gas, hotels), practice time, etc. That's not bad at all.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Mar 29, 2006 -> 01:46 AM) God no, there is no such thing as a scholarship for roller hockey, as we are a club sport at this school. We each pay to play. How much does it cost per year?
