  1. QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 11:22 AM) The 2nd period was about the worst period of this entire year. The guys are young, still learning, the Blues brought a tough game + the ice was crappy I thought. St.Louis deserved this win...we move on and get ready for some payback v. the Nucks Wednesday. I FULLY EXPECT in that game to see the Blackhawks bring a more physical presence. Other teams will do some things to neutralize our surprising speed, one of them is softening the ice, one of the others is play extremely physical.
  2. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 09:02 PM) June Jones just called Tim Tebow a "system quarterback" on ESPN. Basically was trashing Tebow left and right, said he wasn't an accurate passer, etc. Seriously? That kid not only can run like crazy but he has a ridiculous arm.

  4. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 10:36 PM) Georgia vs Ohio St. in the battle of the corrupt athletic departments! Hilarious. Osu isn't even the most corrupt program in the big ten. We didn't give back title. Don't worry, we are only bringing back 20 starters and the number 2 class in the country.
  5. Sad how? 11-1. That's how it is. Illinois v usc in the rose bowl.
  6. Nice. I was actually very surprised at some of their rankings though. The only player to win 2 heismans was out ranked by other players that i didnt think deserved to be.
  7. Sweet, the Twins pick up 2 more pitchers that will be good and we have to face, not to mention another sweet CF'er. Dammit!!!!
  8. QUOTE(danman31 @ Nov 30, 2007 -> 11:11 PM) I think he was just bashing the Big 10, not saying Ohio State didn't belong because the Big 10 has struggled in bowl games. I'm a fan of a Big 10 team and defend the Big 10 to my friends here, but be honest, it's a down year for the conference (worse than last year and who knew that was possible). Ironically this (link) site has Big East 2, Big 12 3, Big 10 4. I dont see a whole bunch of struggling in Bowl games for the Big Ten, they have been even with the SEC for the last several years head to head, I guess then the SEC must be struggling.
  9. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 02:49 PM) The Michigan-Ohio area is as good as it gets outside of Cali, Florida, and Texas recruiting. Michigan and Ohio State's base comes out of the area which has 22 4-5 star talents in the area alone. Much of Michigans best players throughout their history have come from Ohio.
  10. Damn, I really wanted Miles to go to MIchigan. See how he is without someone else's elite recruits, coaching in a state that is not that rich with talent. Also still trying to figure out what MU vs OU is.
  11. QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 30, 2007 -> 04:37 PM) Alright, I'm off to San Antonio for MUvOU. here's to a good game and Maclin with 3 return TDs. Miami University?
  12. I just want to sign fukudome just so someone can hold up the sign at the metrodome that says: Fuk U Dome!
  13. FYI, Ginn played one play that game, and it resulted in a TD. Im not getting into the 5000th big ten speed argument.
  14. QUOTE(CubsSuck1 @ Nov 29, 2007 -> 07:13 PM) And, judging from last night's game, someone who can put the ball through the hoop. Truth. Koufos was awful. Good thing they have a sick class coming in the next 2 years.
  15. OSU still waiting on Pryor, although the news is favorable. We could use the top QB in the country.
  16. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Nov 29, 2007 -> 06:38 PM) Rock, I swear I already posted both Indiana and NU run types of spread offenses. They must be the Big 10 champs right? They really ran up those points, spread offenses are CRAZY new in the Big Ten.
  17. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 29, 2007 -> 05:55 PM) Riske> linebrink. Im going to save this one. Put them both in a set up role and its not even close.
  18. QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 29, 2007 -> 05:13 PM) BAHAHAHAH LSU concerned about OSU? I highly doubt it. What is their threat? Did they get faster from last year? no. The big Ten was weak as ever. It's funny seeing the Big 10 every year coming with their overrated rankings after their seasons playing overrated teams and then they get into bowls and get blown out. huh? OSU has been the second most dominant program in college football this decade after USC, OSU boasting five league titles to the Trojans' six, one national title USC's two and three BCS bowl victories to SC's four. Florida coming out and beating OSU last year has made them a slow, overrated conference just like that? Its very easy to tell who just started watching college football. Funny how playing Texas back to back years was never a problem with people and OSU's schedule, we have also scheduled USC, VT, and Miami in the next several seasons. This year Washington was supposed to be a tough opponent, and we played them on the road. Still sitting here trying to figure out this overrated blow out claim.....Big 12 little man syndrome? I have no idea.
  19. QUOTE(bmags @ Nov 29, 2007 -> 01:37 AM) Big Ten teams can't compete with spread offenses, we'd easily drop 40+ on you. You DO realize that there are teams IN the Big Ten that run spread offenses right?
  20. Hilarious that people who actually watched riske pitch are saying we should have kept him. He's attrotious, you won't hear a single indians, red sox, or rational white sox fan in favor of david riske. He has misleading stats which make him appear better than he is. He's a garbage arm, made to eat innings when you don't care about inherited runners and your team is down a bunch.
  21. Isn't it hilarious to see posts one day about how we need to rebuild and value our prospects and the next day b****ing about how we need to deal the players for an established star? Also to get young we would have had to deal danks, dls, or gio plus 2 more guys.
  22. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 28, 2007 -> 10:32 PM) Yeah, he has had trouble staying in front of opposing PG's since his injury last year. He had very solid quickness his freshmen season, but hasn't been the same since. Hopefully he can get over it because he's going to be leading the team next year. Butler's pretty tough to guard, Frasor played ok. Buckeyes continue to be maddeningly inconsistent. I hope Koufos stays another year, I want to see him a year older with Mullens next to him.
  23. Riske is one of those guys who has misleading stats. His stats will get him paid, but you wont see teams like the indians and the white sox bidding for his services for good reason.
