  2. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 10:17 PM) Their hitters execute. Don't get it twisted. Eventually if you execute enough you become more valuable and better
  3. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 10:02 PM) Is it really that hard to go the other way as a professional hitter? For some. That hasn't been a strike all day.
  4. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 10:01 PM) i was caught up in conversation for a while, but really nice game from Q. we needed that so badly. Should be one earned.
  5. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 09:55 PM) He's still only 23 and without the benefit of a full season in the Major Leagues, so you would think he does have time, with experience, to fine tune those tools and then recognize his talent. The problem I have at this point is trying to get him to do that underneath the pressure of being a middle-of-the-order hitter. He needs to be down around 7th in the order at this stage of his career. I agree with this. I just hope pitch recognition is something he can learn. Right now he's totally guessing. And most of the time he's guessing wrong
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 09:47 PM) Problem with Avi is Hahn and company treated him like a future superstar this past offseason. The lineup looks awful with the equivalent of a slap hitter batting 5th. He has the tools. Just cannot identify pitches. That's a huge problem. Hopefully he can develop that with experience.
  7. Avi is such a bad guesser. No pitch recognition at all. I really hope it's something he can learn. Right now he knows if he's going to swing while they are delivering the pitch
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 09:34 PM) How are we going to f*** this one up? Walk pop out. Dp
  9. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 09:28 PM) I wanted that from the beginning. What team is he playing for right now?
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 08:43 PM) Cuz I was serious about Hodges. I loved emulating his shot in my driveway. Plus I said my favorite not the best.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 09:26 PM) Hard hit line smash to left, Gordon perfectly positioned, had to dive a little bit for the out. Batter before that tried to be a hero instead of popping a single. Ended up flying out did Soto. Ten feet shorter and that's a single. Can't ask for more than a squared up liner.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 09:25 PM) Can I get a description of Bonifacio's out? Laced liner caught at the knees running in a few steps by Gordon.
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 09:20 PM) Anything is walking distance if you have the time. Literally never heard that one before.
  14. The KC twins would hit a bleeder here. The sox will pop out with a whimper.
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 24, 2015 -> 09:18 PM) I bet they try to get this inning completed, and the tarp goes on. Too wet. Probably. It's going to pass though.
