QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ May 4, 2015 -> 07:49 PM) I really hope Kyrie isn't this good all series long on offense, he has made some ridiculous drives. He wont shoot as well but hes legit going to the basket

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 4, 2015 -> 07:39 PM) Welp...my daughter isn't going to prom. My girlfriend was a soph too.... Of course we ended up dating for 6 years.

QUOTE (oldsox @ May 4, 2015 -> 07:37 PM) I was reading an article on the Rockies yesterday, and it mentioned that they had the second worst base running stats in MLB. Second to the White Sox, of course. I don't know what goes into that stat, however. The eye test tells me the Sox are horrible. They give up way too many outs on the basepaths and dont save enough in the field. They do not give enough value to outs at the moment.

Definitely got laid prom night and every night that weekend. Of course we had been sleeping together well before that.

Lol. Now the payroll is too high? This is how you know you aren't thinking straight.
-
Jerry ok'ed expanding the payroll and hes the scapegoat? WTF is happening.

**SPOILER THREAD** GAME OF THRONES ** SPOILER THREAD **
RockRaines replied to TaylorStSox's topic in SLaM
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 4, 2015 -> 11:59 AM) So should the TV stuff go in the TV thread and this be more of a books thread? I believe we started this to discuss the book vs the TV series, which basically is us talking about spoilers the entire time. -
QUOTE (StRoostifer @ May 4, 2015 -> 12:07 PM) Yes sir. The Sox have MI depth so trading Ramirez first makes the most sense, not that Ramirez is easily replaceable. I would be fine with giving Sanchez a shot at SS. This is based on the Sox being out of it by the trade dead line, for now, I take a wait and see approach. If certain Sox players end up increasing their decreased trade value, the Sox may end up playing better baseball because of it ( they should) and change our perspectives on the state of the team. I'd put Anderson right into the SS position now if we want to serve youth.
-
QUOTE (StRoostifer @ May 4, 2015 -> 11:45 AM) What does a rebuilding team accomplish in trading a 23 yo with plenty of potential? Avi fits the mold a rebuilding team would be looking for; youth, high ceiling and cost controlled. I just don't see a point in trading him. Because there isnt a point. You unload your SS first and foremost if you want to start bring up the youth.

**SPOILER THREAD** GAME OF THRONES ** SPOILER THREAD **

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 4, 2015 -> 11:32 AM) Ok...I'm going to suggest spoiler tags in this thread. You can all tell me I am crazy but I think at least the book related stuff should be in spoilers. That way, people like me who watch the show, can come in here and post without having to be worried about seeing stuff related to books which hasn't happened yet. If it is more a post about something that happened in tv and was just different than that part in the book, that is fine, but stuff about what it might mean given what you know in future books should be spoilered, imo. Anyway, you can all tell me I am crazy and than I'll just stay out of here but as currently constructed I can't come on and read about my favorite show and talk about the episode that happened. This is literally a spoilers thread. -
QUOTE (AustinIllini @ May 4, 2015 -> 11:35 AM) All the more reason to move him. It's time to rebuild a la Cubs and Astros. Yeah, do you know how old he is? If you want to go young, he's not one you move.
-
Avi is one of the last players I would list as one of the problems.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 4, 2015 -> 07:44 AM) Isn't Bennett kind of small for his position? Like Michael Sam? As a Chiefs fan, I probably hated their draft this year more than any other year. They took a gamble in round 1 (which has super upside potential, but gamble still), reached for a C in 2nd round, took a super raw WR in RD3 who will barely play this year and went for another CB with second 3rd round pick despite still needing help elsewhere. Frustrating to see your team be close to being able to be seriously competitive and they completely f*** up their draft. 6'3" 300 lbs isn't all that small for a passing rushing three tech.

Official NHL 2014-15 Thread

Teuvo is twice the player Versteeg is. -
You know who is happy that fight sucked? Jamie Foxx. Nobody is talking about the worst anthem ever.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 3, 2015 -> 02:53 AM) Yeah Mayweather did win the fight and I too hate his fighting style. It's just so dull and boring but it gets the job done in terms of winning the decision. Pacquiao just had no answer for that turtle defense. He's like the best neutral zone trapping hockey team of all time. Boring but effective.
-
Mayweather is one of the best fighters ever but his style is so boring. He's only a defensive fighter and it sucks for us at home
-
Finally. Second round talent slips to the sixth.
-
Punters and long snappers and now a guy from Purdue? Wtf
-
Best Buckeye in the draft still not picked. Crazy.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 2, 2015 -> 01:35 PM) Why did Amos drop? Seems like he was valued higher He's not very physical IMO
-
Brewers are officially selling.
-
Now Amos is the first pick I haven't liked.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 2, 2015 -> 12:25 PM) I don't see that he is a reach, ESPN has him ranked 97 and they got him with the 106th pick. Whether you think the Bears needed to draft a RB is another argument I think he's better than Bell so it's a good pick.
-
Michael Bennett confuses me. This is a guy who was one of the best d lineman in the conference and was dominant against top o lines. So weird.
