  1. Oh so this crew thinks they should let everything go huh? That's going to turn out well.
  2. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 04:55 PM) I'm just relaying information. Just said he hadn't been ruled out officially, and some people appear to be speculating on Twitter that he could play. So in other words, questionable. Im just saying sounds like complete bulls***. You dont get over a concussion in a few days.
  3. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 03:39 PM) So Brenden Morrow is out for the rest of the series. David Backes is questionable for tonight. How the f*** is Backes going to play with a concussion?
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 11:45 AM) Apparently Turner and Stephenson got into a fight before game 1 of their series. The Pacers FO sure found a way to make that team way more dysfunctional. Stephenson has now fought about every member of that team.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 10:02 AM) Nobody replied to it, but this is a really, really good point. But there is good weight and bad weight, that looked like bad weight.
  6. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 09:32 AM) BT needs to move their windows from 11/230 and put in later games. I don't think any fanbase enjoys the 11am games, and you've got half the conference on central time. It makes it harder for not only students, but fans that have to drive, or would like to tailgate and enjoy the game. Even an hour would help, to 12 central. And, the atmosphere at those 11am games isn't as good. So I'm a fan of more night games - anything that moves games later in the day works for me. I like the 11am games so I can wake up and watch them (well not so much anymore) but the fanbase at the game suffers and so does conference exposure. Many of the new coaches are pushing hard for night games and it appears to be paying off. Of course you need to have lights to get it done. ILL vs OSU is a primetime night game this year.
  7. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 09:33 AM) Kings dominated overtime, SJ comes down and gets once "chance" and scores a fluke goal to win it. I wanted the Kings to win just to make it a 2-1 series. Agreed. Amazing how different that series is than some of the others I've watched. Decently clean, not a lot of stuff after the whistle even with Torres on the ice. I really enjoyed the Wings v Bruins game as well.
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 08:53 AM) Be a Spring Training instructor and then do the ambassador role and then he'll eventually begin to take on more responsibilities and maybe within 3-4 years of retiring, he's on the bench full time in some capacity. Yep, my guess exactly.
  9. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 09:00 AM) I busted out my one semester of Athletic Training from HS (plus some helpful yt videos) to tape her toe up last night. That plus wrapping her whole foot loosely in an ace bandage and then wearing some compression socks helped a little. She's a teacher, so it's not like she can just sit behind a desk and stay off of it all day, either. Jeez, how many of us are married to teachers on here?
  10. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 07:18 AM) Southwest flies nonstop from Midway to Vegas, and I doubt anybody else is going to have anything cheaper than that. Yep, SWA is the best bet if you are over 5'5" and cant fly spirit.
  11. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 08:36 AM) pretty sure my wife got turf toe walking on the treadmill. blaming it on the cheap nikes she switched to a couple of weeks ago. Yikes, thats painful. The Nike frees have been known to cause foot issues, I got plantar in my right foot after switching over and now I wont put them on for anything other than driving.
  12. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 23, 2014 -> 08:26 AM) Ventura just signed an extension and Konerko has said he does not want to get into coaching right away. I'm guessing you'll see Paulie ease his way into a role with the Sox. This year he is basically a bench manager already.
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 11:27 PM) I f***ing hate you Hinrich Yup.
  14. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 11:17 PM) So many bad calls late in this game Very.
  15. Some people would say great game. Others would say why are the refs involved in 90 percent of the last 5 min.
  16. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 04:39 PM) Night games are the best. The big ten traditionally limited them. Clearly they are rethinking that.
  17. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 03:04 PM) Good points. I suppose my statement was based on the possibility that if they suspected a UCL tear, they wouldn't say anything. I spent a lot more time than a week (over a month I believe) on the shelf when I had a PRP FWIW, but that was also 1. shoulder and 2. in the offseason. Where did you get PRP done and what type of doctor recommended it?
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 01:54 PM) Doesn't PRP sound like something you might do with a UCL tear that you're not sure requires surgery (of course, it seems like they're always not sure, but then always need surgery) From what I understand they would like the inflammation to heal quickly and because they decided to shelve him a few extra days it made sense in the hopes it kept it from coming back.
  19. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 01:36 PM) Ptatc, I'm so blaming the messenger if this Sale thing is bad! The Sox have used multiple tools to examine his UCL.
  20. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 08:57 PM) This. He has become my favorite NBA player but I absolutely hated him in college. The guy literally ripped my heart out in college and then we drafted him for what looked to be no reason. Happily eating crow today.
  21. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 11:44 AM) He had great speed too for a hybrid. But you are correct about what the scouts liked the most about him. I know that's what Emery loved about him as well as his motor. To this day we drafted an ok rushing LB in a 3-4 defense. I dont see him adding much value in another role.
  22. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 22, 2014 -> 11:40 AM) Agreed, but considering he was a 4.6-4.7 when he was drafted (at a heavier weight) it isn't THAT farfetched. Dude was always noted for his speed. He's lifting heavier now at a lighter weight. That alone should tell you something. Hmmm. I remember him being noted for his motor.
