  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 12:06 PM) That's twice now Stauskas has been given NBA continuation and he wasn't even fouled on that last play although he did walk his ass off. Is this the same crew as yesterday? Jeez.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 11:45 AM) As long as Ann Arbor isn't considered Europe next year. Well, same type of personal hygiene issues...
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 11:43 AM) If he plays the way he has the last month, I don't disagree. He's frustrating. He's a pro, in Europe.
  4. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 11:43 AM) Wouldn't Illinois' RPI still be a killer, even after this win? They'd still only have two top 40 RPI wins (three more teams between 40 and 50). I'm not trying to troll. Is it because the bubble is so soft in your guys' opinion? Bubble teams have been losing left and right. Their wins against top 100 RPI teams is impressive comparatively.
  5. I can see Brian Facepalm after the "Robinson's a pro" comment.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 05:10 PM) One thing that scares me is that SF is already pretty loaded with young talent on rookie contracts and they're sitting on double-digits of draft picks. If they are smart about how they use those they could really surround the guys they have with a ton. They should scare a lot of teams. The NFL isnt a static league led by the same talent year over year like the NBA. Its a team sport and small things such as the loss of a LT could severely impact a team's playoff chances.
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 10:50 AM) Nope, he answered his own question by saying "it's makes zero business sense," which is 100% true. It's not an opinion or a question. I could get a direct quote from someone I know within the org and he wouldnt get it. Some people just ignore actual facts.
  8. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 10:39 AM) Jordan Danks is a better piece for us than Dunn. All f***in day. And there you have it.
  9. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 10:17 AM) Because then you are forced to dump a more valuable piece. This isn't rocket surgery here. Dunn's so f***ing bad that if there's even a legitimate 4th OF prospect behind him like Jordan Danks it's a block. But he's blocking PT from ADA & DV. And it's because the Sox are being stubborn and idiotic OR it's because they're aware of all of this & are only waiting to the end of ST to cut him, hoping someone comes along with either a proper return for ADA/DV or will give them a few scraps for Dunn. LIke whom? And why would the Sox pay the entire salary for Adam Dunn when he is playing for another team?
  10. HAHAHAHA. And I appreciate the line breaks. For the crazy Jesus man troll: The Sox tried very hard to unload Dunn and his salary but if you are getting no salary relief or a player in return, why just cast him off just because? It makes zero business sense so they hung onto him.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 10:03 AM) Sorry, I am having a hard time finding these facts you are using. Pointing out that Adam Dunn has a beard, is left handed, was an investor in the Dallas Buyer's Club, and strike out are facts I am already aware of. Please, inform me of these facts that prove he is a bad hitter. You need to hit return more often, it really accentuates the points of a post.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 09:39 AM) Experts seemed to be at odds about Illinois' chances if they beat Michigan today. Lunardi says they still wouldn't be in the conversation, Yahoo's guy says they'd be a rock solid "in" and are already on the bubble. If they win, and it's a big, big if, that's 8 top 100 RPI wins and 4 against the top 50. With other bubble teams losing early in conference tournaments, that would have to be enough, even with a sub .500 conference record. I've seen multiple folks that say a win today has them in, solidly.
  13. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 08:26 AM) Probably won a few more games, but that roster is not talented enough to be in the top 3 of the conference with any coach. The majority of success in college sports comes from recruiting. There are very few Brad Stevens' out there consistently beating more talented teams. Indiana (and Purdue for that matter) have got to shut off the pipeline that is carrying the state's best HS talent out of state. That is priority #1. IU has a lottery pick in the post and a second team all conference PG. Thats more than enough talent to be a lot better than 17-15.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 14, 2014 -> 08:24 AM) I wasn't intending that to be a defense, I was actually curious as to whether or not the problems were coaching guys up, scheme on the floor, or a general lack of available talent. I meant Iowa plays no defense. BUt yes, if Izzo was in charge of IU they would probably be better. Crean just isnt a very good coach.
  15. It's really just no defense whatsoever.
  16. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 10:10 PM) Remember the "they could have/should have won every game this year" thing? That was fun. National title contenders at one point.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 07:33 PM) So the ref just made up a lane violation on PSU. PSU is only good against the Buckeyes.
  18. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 05:13 PM) We're a soccer state now. Basketball is so last century. I tried to earn a scholly from IU for YEARS in the 90's. It was my dream.
  19. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 05:27 PM) Most people see Eaton as the Sox leadoff hitter for years but I see Micah Johnson with Eaton batting 2nd. Now that will be a great top 2. I see it flipped but yes my thoughts as well.
  20. QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 04:26 PM) Denver and Seattle are gonna be really, really good. Maybe calling them a "mega squad" is a little silly, but barring injuries those guys gotta be the favorites. Well Denver is in the AFC so that eliminates one obstacle to the superbowl. I dont think either one are the dominant forces that we've seen at times in the NFL. I fully expect two completely different teams in the Superbowl.
  21. Brian, remember early in the season when you said Ohio may not have a team in the tourney? Looks like Indiana is actually the one shut out.
  22. Hey look, skilled basketball players.
