Crean couldn't make the final four with 2 top 5 picks, I'm sure he'll struggle a bit with this team. -
QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 12:33 PM) Having it buckle and feel painful to put weight on right after injury is common. There are times when the person can walk on it and maybe even lightly run, but usually the swelling at the least will make this unbearable. Painful pop/rupture, maybe a few seconds of feeling non-horrible, then an extremely sore knee that will buckle under pressure is to be expected for several weeks My meniscus tear looked a lot like what he did. Weird buckle, delayed pain then worthless knee.

Dantonio is such a dick. -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 12:23 PM) I thought with acl tears you can still walk around. Sounds like Rose couldnt put any pressure on it. Im hoping its a really bad sprain and he'll just be out a few weeks. His reaction wasn't what you generally see with an ACL but you never know.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 12:20 PM) When the hell is this MRI? I got a feeling the Bulls know it's a torn acl and are just working on a way to release the results if that makes sense. Yup. Gasols is already done.

What's worse, Al Borges or Illinois defense? -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 11:56 AM) It was avoidable in the sense that if he didn't play he wouldn't get hurt. But these were non contact injuries, so it seems to me they were most likely going to happen eventually. Both were just him taking a step. It was going to happen.

Some people have bodies that just fail them. It's genetic.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 07:01 AM) Well, this is Awful news to wake up to. Yup. At least I missed the childish preaching that went on in this thread.

I don't think it's ACL but definitely some serious time off.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 03:37 PM) No, she didn't go to the ER. Is that insider info. The Washington post said she went to the ER. -
On my DTV box you can switch whether you want the tv to adjust to each picture type, it causes a delay but a much better picture IMO.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 21, 2013 -> 07:50 PM) So can Wisconsin. No kidding. Dekker is gone after this year right? -
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 01:09 AM) Here's what scares me about Phegley. A. He's a bad defender. He really doesn't have any tools behind the plate. B. His swing is ugly. The plane is weird. It looks manufactured and it's slow. C. I haven't seen him actually square up many balls. Even the HR's he's hit have been a result of a huge guy making decent contact. They're pushed out. There's no pop off the bat. They're just giant fly balls. I need to see him hit a couple rockets. He's bad in his first go round. He's shown that he can improve with time at every level.
-
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 01:01 AM) Coachable? Based on what? Phegley sucks and has zero tools. He looks like a roid monster that swings a lead bat. He has no tools. No bat sped. Warning track power. No eye. No arm. And his feet behind the plate move like Paul Konerko's cousin. That he's different than when he was drafted. Maybe it doesn't mean anything but I think he deserves a shot out of ST.
-
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 12:58 AM) Off season optimism clouding rational thought. I like it, but y'all crazy! Just relaying what I think the attitude is. Doesn't mean it will work, but IMO the talent is there for some of those guys.
-
This guy is on the block http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/a/andruel01.shtml
-
Phegley has proven to be coachable and can pick up his game defensively. He'll play a lot of games this first half.
-
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 12:45 AM) Aside from those guys, you have 6 question marks. Catcher- We will acquire someone but who? Who is the 2nd catcher Flowers or Phegley? 2B - Beckham probably. Could be moved. Maybe Semien. Could be a 2B acquired. SS - Could move Alexei. If not Alexei then who? 3B - Gillapsinger? Acquire someone? LF&CF - At least one of De Aza/Viciedo. Either, more likely De Aza, could be moved. Phegley No Yes-one of their trade targets Maybe-also a place where you can add a bat (cf). Vicedo IMO isn't going anywhere, especially in Abreu's first season
-
Whoa that's 7 straight losses against Denver
-
If Abreu is as advertised, Dunn has an up season and Garcia is an .800 OPS guy then you may really have something.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 12:20 AM) I'd add that Viciedo has to be a 25-30 HR, 85-105 RBI.....270-290ish hitter. And Santiago has to take the next step and sustain it throughout the season, along with Danks looking more like a 2 than a 4/5 starter. Finally, the middle relief has to be serviceable. I think they think they are a proven bat away to be honest. If the rotation and pen hold up, all it takes is those what ifs to happen
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 12:12 AM) Does Jimmy Buckets make the difference tonight? No. They were hot garbage in the third. They will win some games based on effort and Derrick, but as currently constructed this is not a title contender IMO.
-
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 12:15 AM) I'm sorry but Frogger and Gex were off the chain for the Playstation 1 I had dreamcast instead so what do I know.
