  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 02:12 PM) They can thank Urban for that S-E-C!! S-E-C!!
  2. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 12:41 PM) Rock, We have different standards. I think there is maybe 1 or 2 elite NBA coaches at the moment. Nothing against Thibs either, there are plenty of coaches with titles who I dont consider elite. So your issue is your argument then. If you only have 1 elite coach in ALL of the NBA then your posts were pretty much pointless. Without a title and only a few years of head coaching experience it would be impossible to name him the best coach in the NBA, and nobody on here would name him that either. Of course "one of the best in the league" is a totally different discussion of which Thibs is most definitely included.
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 12:29 PM) It's about 11g of fat per serving, which is about 40% leaner than your lean ground beef. A turkey burger is about 9g of fat per serving. Thats what I ate last night, I f***ing love turkey burgers. Pickles mustard and a nicely grilled turkey burger. Fantastic.
  4. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 12:26 PM) Oh I think you misunderstand. I definitely think Thibs is a guy that can take a subpar team and make them average/good/great. The question is can he take a good/great team and win a championship. In the history of the NBA, I believe only 30 coaches have won a championship. Of those 30, 13 have won multiple. So its just a very very elite club, and most coaches never get there. I think Thibs can get there, but I am just not willing to put him there yet. You never put a coach there until they actually win one. I dont understand the disconnect between what he's done with this franchise and your opinion. Is there some sort of secret ability to take a great team to a title? Usually that secret is superstar players which Thibs has only had one of his entire time here and has made the Bulls an upper tier team that other teams hate playing against. You play a nice devil's advocate but this argument makes no sense based on his track record so far as a head coach.
  5. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 11:03 AM) If I want a burger and the place I'm at offers bison, I'll take that nearly 100% of the time over beef. I like it more AND it's healthier* for me? Sold. *Just realized I'm not actually sure of its health benefits on its own (besides just being better than beef). I'm assuming like any other meat, it's fine in moderation. Also good source of protein, not TOO much fat. I believe its leaner than chicken but ill have to check that. Its also f***ing delicious if cooked properly.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 08:57 AM) Is it bad that I wish the Bears had drafted him? I would gladly take 1956 yards & 18 TDs in 38 games out of my tight end. So he's a murderer, he gawn now, move on to the next player. +1. Since when is it a surprise that an NFL player is a total piece of s***? Its not a reflection on anyone but himself. I would have gladly taken production like that.
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) Jenks, That is why this year is so important. Yes Thibs did great the first year. But this year is really going to be where he has to prove that it wasnt a fluke. His last 2 years no Rose in playoffs or regular season, so the decline is defensible. But what are our expectations this year? Id have to say EC Finals right? HUH? s*** this year with this crap roster full of nothing proves he's not a fluke.
  8. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 04:45 PM) I made Salmon Burgers the other night (with golden mashed potatoes and corn on the cob). They're pretty tasty, though I almost think they're better on their own without the bun. I just like salmon on the grill in general. Little lemon, good as anything.
  9. Cant stop watching the Wire, it is really good.
  10. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 02:13 PM) Shack, Id likely buy a tux. Just because every once in a while I will get invited to a black tie event. This is what I did, I had a Tux made since I'll probably actually wear it again. Of course if you do Tuxes for the wedding party your rental is free.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 12:16 PM) My wife chose American Ninja Warrior last night, solid choice. WE watched the Wire instead. She hated it but whatever.
  12. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 01:12 PM) Should've mentioned, that salad is before any meal they prepare. The meals themselves tend to be healthy, typically chicken (maybe steak), veggies, and possibly a baked potato they'll split. It's just maddening to me (because they are my parents and everything) that they think they are being healthy with those salads. There was a guy at Jasons Deli who did the salad bar "for his diet" and proceeded to make a giant salad full of cheese, ranch and other such stuff then put giant scoops of potato and pasta salad on top. Dude, you are better off with a turkey sandwich.
  13. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 11:05 AM) I really think this is unsustainable...just use moderation...if you are eating a healthy salad, for pete's sake, treat yourself to a little ranch or whatever the heck dressing you want. That doesn't mean pour it all over the thing, but jeesh, don't be afraid of it because it has a little fat in it. If you work out somewhat regularly (3-ish times a week), and you are already eating salad for your lunch or dinner, have some damn dressing and enjoy the thing. A little fat helps your body digest all the vegetables more easily anyway. Thats what the oil is for. I actually prefer vinegary dressings over that other stuff, but to each his own.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 10:43 AM) http://masterofsopranos.wordpress.com/the-...ion-of-the-end/ It's pretty well pieced together here. Tony got shot in the brain. Anyone who argues is just ignoring hard evidence. Thanks for that, I've never read that before.
  15. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 10:32 AM) Whatever happened to that contest you and your buddy had to see which of you could go longer without drinking/smoking? Neither lasted more than a week. This time im all over it though. I had a blowout in New Orleans this last weekend and im dry now.
  16. Oh and although it wasnt a nice "wrap it up ending" I liked the open-ended version of the Sopranos series.
  17. QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 08:46 AM) My confession is that I've never seen a single episode of The Wire. It's somewhere on my to-do list. Started it yesterday, so far so good.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 09:38 AM) Good work man. I've been trying to shape up a bit, but the damn calories in alcohol always sidetrack me. With the hockey playoffs finally done, it should be easier to stay on course. I'm not drinking in July to see what benefits I see. We'll see if I can do it. Second on the salad bar thing, sometimes you dont realize it but there is olive oil and vinegar there somewhere, I usually combine those to make a dressing if all they have is creamy s***.
  19. Go back and rewatch the Sopranos, I am on season 2 now and I forgot how outstanding it is.
  20. That reminds me of the "they took our jobs" episode http://www.studentsports.com/theopening/ Site for "The Opening" Sounds almost like a horror movie
  21. OSU could have as many if not more than 11 recruits at the opening going on right now in Beaverton. Thats unreal.
  22. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 28, 2013 -> 04:39 PM) I actually thought the video was fine, with or without a short time frame to turn it around. It was a brief summary of goals/saves etc for each win. What exactly was wrong with it? Also, this is kind of scary: http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Two-A...-213556321.html I'm out of town and it seemed pretty good. The "almost"crimes scare me but it looks like they managed it well.
  23. That was a weird draft. The guy next to me tells me Anthony Bennett is going to go number one and I laughed, and then boom it happens. I'm bettin any all stars that come out of this one are players we don't expect.
  24. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 28, 2013 -> 12:15 AM) I am not sure why but on every reality show like Big Brother I always root for the non gay black guy. (I am white) and no I have nothing against gays either. I have no idea why but I have done it all my life. So go Howard! Lol, that's awesome.
  25. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 28, 2013 -> 12:52 AM) I can. Like I said months ago, he doesn't have a position. He isn't athletic enough to play the 3 and he isn't big enough to play the 4. You jumped all over me after I asked if he would even get drafted after he declared. It's understandable though. Sometimes team loyalty can be a bit blinding. No he's just the best scorer in the best conference in the country. His measurements predraft kind of did him in a little bit. Still, drafted, which makes him 7 in a row for Thad. Not too shabby.
