  1. My Comcast is pretty quick, I dont buy into their "tiers" of speeds. It's fairly reliable however can get into periods of stalling like any service. As usual keep your eye on the billing rates as they change them at any time. Mine just comes with a modem which is fine since I prefer the apple wireless router.
  2. Also in case anyone missed it, the refs knocked out the Canucks again last night. Pretty sure AV is about gone, and it looks like once again there are goalies for sale in Vancouver.
  3. He grew up tougher in Oak Park than Rose did in weak ass p**** englewood
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 8, 2013 -> 10:22 AM) One fluttering, s***ty wrist shot thrown at the net and bouncing off of Sharp does not all the sudden make Handzus anything better than completely awful as I've been saying since they pointlessly acquired him. LOL, so you said. And he's been a good fit on that line. Which happens to be the best scoring line for the Hawks so far in the playoffs. And he's the second line center because Bolland has been hurt.
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ May 8, 2013 -> 10:07 AM) Tepid and boring PP. Last night was the first playoff game I've been able to catch. Felt gooood. I'm not too concerned about our first line, we should just more be thrilled that our 3rd line has done what they should be doing. Also, loved Foley calling out how bad Handzus has been, then Handzus scoring immediately. I love when the reverse jinx works out. Ugh, he said he was awful at the dot I believe. He's been a good player this series.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 8, 2013 -> 10:36 AM) Jimmy pleases me greatly. His backstory is great, and he's always been described as a kid with high character. I was disappointed at his lack of minutes last year but apparently its paying off now.
  7. The wild are just a b****y team. Diving and the crap after the whistle. Also why are the fans chanting Crawfords name at this point?
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 7, 2013 -> 03:51 PM) Nobody on here can take me in MVP Baseball 2005. Is there a hosting company that can host sessions on games like this? If not I would really look into building it out on AWS or something and then authenticating users with social media.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) Back when they were the flagship, I could get Sox games past Toledo. Thats an incredible 4.5 hour range there.
  10. I've showered at iowa 80. Cleaner than any apt I lived at in college.
  11. Nobody on here can take me in bases loaded 3.
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:30 PM) Base Wars FTW I woudl just kill my way around the bases.
  13. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:55 PM) not on I88 and I80. not from my experience. My work phone is Verizon. That stretch of highway is incredibly boring.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:50 PM) ORLY? Do tell. Go back to the old thread. They told him exactly what they would pay him and it was a no brainer to take what was about twice as much from Miami. I admit it wasnt a formal offer which they never really made because their value of him wasnt even close to what other teams was.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2013 -> 02:44 PM) We didn't make him an offer. We let him go out and see what market value was for him, and he found a team willing to vastly overpay for him if he gave up his NTC. He was willing to make that sacrifice. Yes they did.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 7, 2013 -> 01:12 PM) GMAB man, if he was willing to sign for a "Halfway decent offer" the team would quite readily have popped 3/$36 for him. He wanted to hit the FA market and see what was out there, and a team offered him basically $22 million for waiving his no trade clause. You can take a break if you want, I'll give one to you. However you are wrong, we offered him dogs*** on purpose.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 7, 2013 -> 12:09 PM) I don't want to detract from the job he did on LeBron last night, because it was excellent, but I didn't get the feeling that LeBron really wanted to exert much energy in the first 3 quarters...he was really laying back and looking for the open wing players. Jimmy did manage to cause LeBron to miss some finishes around the basket (I think LeBron was 1/6 in the first half), but I really anticipate LeBron coming a lot stronger in game 2 and using his strength to take Butler near the basket. He was more concerned with being angry about everything else going on in the stadium. Bron and Wade spent the entire game whining to the refs.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 6, 2013 -> 09:24 PM) Deep inside of me, I still wish he had a Sox jersey on. Unlike with AJP the Sox didnt really give him a halfway decent offer. He had to take the cash and go. It turned out to be a horrible decision.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 6, 2013 -> 06:12 PM) Crean-ed!!!! It's only Creaning if you do it for a better player.
  20. She's honestly one of the nicest girls out there. She was kind of a goody-goody back in the day with a mean jumper. The people who knew her were shocked at how she was being portrayed in the media.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2013 -> 03:52 PM) I'm still waiting for them to fire Bobby Hull and Patrick Kane for much worse... Why? Bobby Hull is only a horrible wife-beater, Collins took part in a comedy satire show fer godsakes.
  22. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 6, 2013 -> 01:33 PM) Joffrey isn't gay if that's what you had in mind. Joffrey just likes hurting/killing people more than sex with whores. Also, Margaery and her mother are fully aware of this, hence Margaery playing perfectly into Joffrey's desires, and you'll see in the future what the Tyrells think of Joffrey. Nice foreshadowing without actually saying anything. I cant wait
  23. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 3, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) The NHL is ridiculous. Somehow Eric Gryba got a 2 game suspension for his perfectly legal hit last night. They suspended him because of the blood. No other reason.
  24. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 3, 2013 -> 11:51 AM) Look, I don't want to get in a long debate about if he should play or not. Doctors have been known to be wrong. If he doesn't feel right, then I trust his judgement because in my opinion Rose isn't a slacker or a "p****". IMO, he is being smart in taking his time. We've seen how other players who suffered the same kind of injury and came back when they were cleared were never the same afterwards. Look, it's a distinct possibility that Rose may never be as explosive as he was. I'm all for sacrificing this season (who really thinks Miami won't waltz their way to their second title?) in hopes of doing something different than other superstars who played when they were cleared only to be shadows of their former self. Maybe taking more time off than what the doctors say could be the difference and we'll see again an MVP version Rose? If that's what Derrick thinks,l I'll take that gamble as well. ACL surgery at his age is old hat. Who didnt come back as good as before?
