  1. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 9, 2012 -> 10:05 AM) If he is hurt so bad play a different player. Yeah it sucks to have to go that deep in your bench, but Watson just seemingly is not there. He is missing free throws, missing shots and just playing really weak on the ball. j4l, The Bulls won, I dont complain about refs just to complain about refs. Last night they werent great, they made some mistakes, but at the end of the game it didnt matter (Im sure 76er fans would disagree and say that the refs swallowed the whistle.) I thought games 3 and especially game 4 were poorly reffed and the 76ers got the majority of the 50/50 calls. If you disagree that is one thing, but if you agree that it wasnt poorly reffed, then what point are you making? I only comment on refs it is so terrible it cant go unnoticed. Lucas was getting trapped with the ball and CJ wasnt so I thought that later on in the game CJ was more valuable as a ball handler. His elbow clearly isnt there for shooting however.
  2. Let that one play and then click on the one that says the best of Tyrion. Hilarious
  3. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ May 8, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) They fired the wrong guy. Zero confidence in the leadership of this team moving forward. Just idiotic. Their PP was a huge issue all season, he ran the PP. Pretty cut and dry as far as assistant coaches getting fired goes.
  4. Awesome. You know eventually they are going to be investigated. If coach Cal is rumored to go to the NBA then we know for sure.
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 9, 2012 -> 08:32 AM) Im done giving him the hurt arm reasoning/excuse. CJ has had plenty of pretty good games since he hurt his elbow, he has totally collapsed in the playoffs. He was good last night in handling the ball when the Sixers were clearly roughing up Lucas. But the difference to me was Brewer on Holliday. He made him very selfish and ineffective. Which is why he should have played in game 4.
  6. QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 8, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) I find it decidedly weird. Some religious groups like it. Babies and birthing are weird dude, some people give birth in pools, upside down, in dirt, sand, beds, standing up, sitting down, people are f***ed in the head when it comes to kids.
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 8, 2012 -> 03:02 PM) That place is super nice Gansevort Hotel has a really nice lounge/bar on the roof. Johnny Utah's across from Radio City is a lot of fun too with their mechanical bull. I was going to add that alot of the hotels you stay at have some of the better lounges like Gavensvort, SOHO grand etc.
  8. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 8, 2012 -> 04:47 PM) Right, so why bother with him taking up those classroom resources? For the superstar athletes most likely to make the jump straight to the NBA, college isn't about an education. Very few athletic departments are self-sustaining and cost the school (read: students) money. But it generates a ton of money for the AD's and coaches! Thats why I like min 3 years if they attend college and want to jump to NBA. You CAN graduate or get close to it in 3 years and it helps both the NBA and the college game IMO. But then again I am being selfish
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2012 -> 02:58 PM) You also then need a place where you can put an 18 year old that isn't "immediately on the roster" and to have the union accept some version of "You don't get service time starting until you make the big leagues". Maybe, but I think the danger of not making the roster should still be there so the kids actually DO want to go to college to develop. Otherwise they are all jumping to the "minors"
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 7, 2012 -> 08:08 PM) Some eat it like a steak though. Here's a couple articles about the whole thing. http://www.babble.com/pregnancy/pregnancy-...lacenta-eating/ http://www.salon.com/2010/06/24/placenta_for_dinner/ Yeah you can grill it, fry it, etc. Its incredibly nutrient rich and has been done for centuries. Its not some weird fad.
  11. I just wish it was jump right to the NBA or be required to stay in college 3 years, nothing in between.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 8, 2012 -> 12:46 PM) Of course, the Eddy Curry led Depaul and Tyson Chandler led UCLA teams might have had something to say about that. Curry may have just gotten fat and useless quicker.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 8, 2012 -> 12:44 PM) That's what he said, but he was never going to college in the first place, everyone knew that. If the NBA rule was in place and he had a full recruitment, I'm just saying that there would be some money changing hands somewhere. How could there not be? Instant NCAA title contender with him. Eh, maybe. This just makes me realize how much I miss 4 year players in college, even 3 years is better.
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 8, 2012 -> 12:27 PM) I'm sure it would have been vacated by now. Not really sure why that would be the case. If LeBron had to go to college it would have been OSU without any doubt.
  15. If LeBron would have spent 2 years in college I think I would have a cbb championship to celebrate, and maybe I wouldnt hate him as much as i do.
  16. QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 7, 2012 -> 04:46 PM) Being insane. From everything I know, the best time to do cardio is in the morning, and the best time to do lifting or hard exercise is in the afternoon/evening. I haven't, however, looked into actual science backing those claims...it's something I have to get around to doing. I want to be the guy who goes out at 5am and gets in a 30 mile bike ride, but I cant get my ass out of bed. I also am a bit hypoglycemic so I need fuel before anything.
  17. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 7, 2012 -> 04:07 PM) Ooooh, indulge us! (Would be kind of funny if he can't see this because he blocks me already, ha) Nope, sorry. You are not one of them. It takes alot of super annoying posts to get me to ignore you, I had ignored only one user my entire time on here until a few days ago.
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ May 7, 2012 -> 04:22 PM) I have to exercise when I get up in the morning. Way too easy to put it off at night. This is something I am trying to get in to. Whats the secret to getting up in the morning to do it?
  19. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ May 7, 2012 -> 03:22 PM) can we block peoples comments on here?? greg, do you every say a positive thing about this team?? Why cant Stultz win the next game, you see what Quintana just did as an unknown. Yes, block the user, I have 2 pretty notorious posters on block.
  20. QUOTE (Y2HH @ May 7, 2012 -> 12:40 PM) Mostly, you have to find what works for you and what keeps you interested. I know myself...and I know I get bored with non-gym home workouts like P90X rather quickly, and I also know that I enjoy going to a gym, which helps keep me focused so I stay on track. I can't stress enough that there is no ONE perfect workout for everyone...if P90X doesn't keep your interest, find something that does. But there IS a workout out there for everyone, of that, I'm convinced. They just have to find what it is. I agree 100%. I take those to the gym and also learn from others. I think the exercise of going to the gym energizes me quite a bit.
  21. I dont agree with being "big" as part of being healthy. I think the mass producing workouts in the 80's and 90's are a bit passe' and i think ultimately it turns out bad for people as they age. My knees suffered from having too much mass. This is why I like the p90/circuit training technique at least a few times a week as staying lean and being strong can be better for you in the long run. i think alot of the value in the P90 tapes is it helps teach people that endurance part of strength training which is very valuable in the long run as you get older.
  22. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 7, 2012 -> 07:02 AM) My kid can go to any school he wants as long as it doesn't start with 'M', end with 'N', and have 'ichiga' in the middle. If you have a son he wouldnt want to go there anyway, horrific looking women.
  23. QUOTE (zenryan @ May 5, 2012 -> 10:54 AM) not going to comment on the sexual predator part because that is just bad luck that could happen at any school where fans are among recruits. but I have a problem with the parts in bold. Too many kids are being made into puppets by family members who want to dictate where they want their kids to attend school. Here's a kid who probably wants to go to OSU but his dad is going to use this as a chance to place his kid where he wants him at. We all remember that this past January when the mom threw a fit on national tv because he son decided to go to LSU over Alabama(or was it the other way around?). Parents should be in the process and advise their kids but it seems like too many parents think they are the ones being recruited and they should be making the decision. Yeah, one reason why I am not too into it until closer to signing day. These kids get sold to a program by good recruiters and their parents look for an out. Sometimes it comes even after they are enrolled and they get upset about no playing time or something of the sort and the parents pounce.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2012 -> 10:15 AM) CJ hasn't been healthy the whole 2nd half of the season, but he bit the bullet and kept playing when he should have been on the bench because Rose was more important. Yeah, I mentioned it previously, his elbow is really messed up, this team was just a bit snakebit with injuries this season, it will happen to every team.
  25. QUOTE (SouthSideTeacher @ May 4, 2012 -> 10:22 PM) Joakim just left-- struggling on crutches. f***ing terrific. That thing will swell up like a b**** tonight. Not good.
