  1. Yahoo's source is a "leak" and thats the only reason the presser is today, it would have come out eventually in the self report by the end of the week.
  2. Notified both the conference and the NCAA that they found violations on Jan 22nd. Had NCAA people on campus a week later.
  3. Confirming OSU knew about it before Yahoo released their story.
  4. Here is a how to http://www.ehow.com/how_2187421_transfer-m...pod-itunes.html http://www.ehow.com/how_2168710_music-ipod...a-software.html
  5. theres definitely freeware that will do it for you, the title escapes me.
  6. Yeah, Metallica has said that Iron Maiden and Sabbath were both drivers of their sound, both of those bands also list LZ as influences. I figured this is a better list for TRU: http://www.mtv.com/bands/m/metal/greatest_...406/index.jhtml More your sound?
  7. Well now im popping up LZ IV due to this convo.
  8. QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 05:09 PM) What the hell are you talking about, Metallica sounds nothing like Led Zeppelin.. And im sorry, but Led Zeppelin is not even close to metal Would there have been a sound even close to Metal without Led Zeppelin pioneering their brand of Rock? John Bonham alone helped introduce a whole new style of playing the drums that is a precursor to the speed of Metal.
  9. QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 04:57 PM) haha ok, and the Beach Boys are 12th on that list.. GTFO.. Very few people have the same idea of whats good music or what belongs in what category.. your little rolling stone reference is hilarious by the way.. Little Richard is the 8th greatest artist of all time? Haha, I guess I cant argue with that.. I usually put on "Tutti Frutti" and rock out all the time So anything made before your time is irrelevant? You should also read the article given that most of the comments about LZ are made by Dave Grohl
  10. QUOTE (ScottyDo @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 04:46 PM) Personally, I think he needs a good amount of time in the outfield before we depend on him there at the ML level He did play OF in Cuba.
  11. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 04:50 PM) Besides the two ball-dominant guard issue, they'd have a similar problem to the Heat with their star big man. Love is a terror on the glass so they'd be better there, but he's not really a low post guy (he gets fewer shots at the rim than Bosh did in Toronto, and many come on putbacks) and he's not particularly agile or a threat as a shot-blocker on defense. Just like the Heat, they'd need someone to protect the rim at the center spot, which would be hard to do with limited cap space. I literally havent watched the guy since college, does he not play in the post at all?
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 04:48 PM) Here's an article pretty consistent with what you've been saying Rock: http://markrea.wordpress.com/2011/03/08/en...-im-not-buying/ Anyone can report an NCAA rules infraction to the school: http://www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com/ViewArtic...p;ATCLID=926272
  13. I personally dont think he needs regular playing time in AAA, I think he fits in at 3B, 1B, RF and LF and can play a few days a week.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) That is an interesting change.
  15. Sorry, for those not watching, Dayan just gunned a runner down at home from RF
  16. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 04:27 PM) What is the score? 9-5 good guys.
  17. Viciedo almost just killed Stultz
  18. Starters got some s*** working this inning.
  19. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 03:48 PM) Danks rips a single into RF. He hasn't looked bad at all this spring. He changed his set up at the plate a little bit, looks to be working.
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) The program had no idea of this article and Tressel's knowledge well before the situation. They found out 30 minutes before Yahoo's article got posted. This isn't some minor news. This is a huge punishable offense for the Ohio State and I would not be surprised if both the AD and Head Coach get axed. It is a coaches job to pass that info along, always. If he didn't tell anyone, that is a major violation. Not some small deal. They are aware of that policy, they have self reported over 375 violations in his tenure at OSU. You still have no idea the extent of his "notification" it could have been a bulls*** email, it could have been a voicemail to some person in his dept. You have literally no idea if its a major violation or not. Ah i see you added another doom and gloom line. The worst thing from a Universities perspective is if the coach or the staff was a willing participant in a violation such as pay for play or setting up a kid with some illegal. This is clearly not something to that extreme, especially if it was determined that they investigated it and the players lied or there was no proof to follow up.
  21. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 03:35 PM) Just reporting what Dennis Dodd and the rest of Twitter nation were saying. Dennis Dodd is not a source, he's a well known douchebag.
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) He has flat out said on his twitter that this is something most coaches would get fired for and depending on the depth of the information he feels this might be a fireable offense for both Tressel and OSU's AD. I just don't think that is what is going to happen in this press conference, but he has never flat out said that Tressel's job is safe. Based on the amount of anonymous information these guys get that are bulls***, if one slipped through the cracks it wouldnt surprise me, still not a fireable offense though, in fact the original punishment for the kids involved is still under appeal considering its harshness. Like I said, they self report everything, so the NCAA is already all over this, before Yahoo posted anything.
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 03:16 PM) If that is true there is a lot more today's report that it just being a rehash of old information. Clearly something else was self reported to the NCAA, otherwise they wouldnt be having a presser tonight with the AD and Prez of the University. OSU is one of the best if not the best at self reporting violations in the country, if something happened, the NCAA will be investigating it immediately.
