Speaking of compliance, how does every school get away with giving every player a set of 300 dollar headphones

The situation is a little different in that Tressel didn't commit the violations he lied about but i get your overall point. Like i said, the NCAA needs to set a standard of suspension for these situations and i think it begins and ends with a year term. If there is less gray area with the punishments i feel like the process with then be more black and white. As of now, there is a difference between penalties on a case by case basis which may not be the best way to ensure fairness across the board.

Maybe one should be a pay bracket? 10 bucks a head on pay pal?

Oh and FYI, its my belief they should suspend him for the entire 2011 season based on the information that has come out regarding his knowledge of the situation, in fact I would be shocked if the NCAA doesnt come to that conclusion. Maybe he was trying to protect his players in some way, but clearly he acted in the wrong and 2 game probably isnt enough for something that is pretty cut and dry related to his contract.

ESPN is crap on here one day, and and excellent source of old news the next day. This wont play out for months, at that time we'll see what the final determination is.
