QUOTE (Tex @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:04 PM) Did it feel stable? Does Illinois require a license for those? Not motorcycle license because technically its a 149cc. Feels very stable, but small and light enough that a girl could drive it if she wants to. A very good machine. Chicago-based company.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 01:53 PM) I'm not a Gordon Beckham hater, but EVERYBODY here thought (and still thinks) that he is an All Star. I had my questions, but I kept them to myself. But I remember that the major question mark was the DH postion and Alex Rios. I really don't think that the DH is the reason that the team sucks so bad, and Rios has been raking all season. But seriously, NO ONE saw Beckham falling off like this. LOL I rember every thing was BACON this and SLAYER that. He was supposed to be a sure thing. And like someone said earlier, Quentin was almost the freaking MVP in 2008. That's A Rod, Justin Morneau, Joe Mauer territory. Thats because its a freak occurrence. If you are trying to saw "I told you so" I will enjoy saving this when the guy is producing over and over for the White Sox for the next several years. -

To be fair, Ozzie hangs around my neighborhood all the time and is really the nicest guy in the world. He's courteous to strangers and the people he encounters on the street that even may boo him. With that said, its time for him to get out of here if he is going to react that way about business. -
Heres what I just got: http://www.genuinescooters.com/scooters/buddy/blackJack.html Its awesome. And I got a great deal from Honda House in Elmhurst. They still have one left.

As of tomorrow I will be the proud owner of a new Genuine Buddy scooter. Anyone on here scoot or ride cycles at all? I wonder if there are enough people to do a meet up at a Sox game? I primarily bought mine because I want something for around town that is easier to park, easier on gas, and easier on my wallet when I trade my car back in ( I lease). These bad boys get over 60 mph and can be parked almost anywhere around town.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 04:57 PM) not the "home run" pick, but still a solid addition, especially for football. Guess we'll see what this does for Texas, Oklahoma and the rest of the Big 12. Solid addition for sure. Now which way does the B10 break as far as two halves of a conference? -
QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 09:26 PM) Seems like everyone here has had an idea of what they wanted b4 going to the tattoo parlor, has anyone ever gone looked through the books and picked a random tattoo? My first one yes. I knew kind of what I wanted, but I didnt know the design.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 04:02 PM) http://www.waitingfornextyear.com/?p=29584 Random internet site says Izzo is gone. He let his players know, with a press conference to come later. I don't get it. He's one of the best college coaches around, already makes tons of money, and is going to a franchise in complete turmoil? Unless Lebron has promised to stick around, there's no way I'd go to Cleveland. REALLY REALLY good for the rest of the Big Ten and really anyone who makes the tourney. It will be very hard for MSU to stay as good as they are without Izzo. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 12:59 PM) But what if they don't think it's mechanical? Remember the concerns that Ozzie got frustrated about relating to Peavy during ST. I said at the time, and then a few weeks ago, but scouts are extremely concerned about Peavy's health. Not that there's something necessarily wrong, but more that he's just thrown so many sliders and pitched a lot of innings during his Major League career that he's more like a 34-35 year old in pitching years. Because of how many sliders he has thrown? Give me a break. The guy will be back to what he was in no time. He proved in a few starts last season that he can pitch in the AL and has run into mechanical issues after recovering fully from an injury and time off. Trading him would be stupid on our part, and writing him off would be stupid on everyone else's part.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 08:46 PM) They wouldn't want him, I honestly believe. Scouts aren't dumb. Scouts are smarter than someone wanting to write him off after 2 bad months and some mechanical issues.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 05:11 PM) Redshirt frosh Scheelhaase named Illini starting QB. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/ncf/news/story?id=5242601 I can feel the panic in Columbus from here. So Charest paid them back by transferring? -
QUOTE (vandy125 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 10:42 AM) ^^^^ it's all just creating better products for the users. Its so f***ing awesome. Look at the s*** we are debating nowadays. A few years ago the coolest phone on the planet was a fricking flip phone because it was super thin. Now we are figuring out whose processor is fastest, who allows us to do more things faster on the internet, with video, books, vid chat, etc. Its amazing how far this has come in a few years. s*** in 2005 I had an old non-color blackberry that I thought was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I had this cool push email thing, it was super fast and I could search the internet with my scroll wheel.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 10:37 AM) Kotsay has 6 HR on the year. Vizquel has markedly positive UZR numbers at 3b and SS, negative numbers at 2b but he's only getting time there because our starting 2b is sucking royally. Kotsay and Vizquel have been adequate at their job. Every time anyone blames this season on Kotsay or Vizquel, God Kills a Kitten. Good, I f***ing hate cats. -
I love this competition to be honest. You have cellular carriers competing against one another for the most superior service for their. You have hardware vendors competing for the best piece of technology for their customers. You have software companies and developers competing for the best end user experience and customer loyalty. You have accessory companies competing for the best experience and value for their customers. It really cant get much better than this. Cable and Sat companies arent even competing and advancing as much as this market. I f***ing love it. Its about f***ing time.

QUOTE (vandy125 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 10:32 AM) Actually, I think you are totally wrong on this point. If they tweak the OS, then they start losing out on the updates to the Android OS (can't go from v2.1 to v2.2 as an example). This is already the case for a few phones, and is a good reason NOT to buy them. Here's an article on just that sort of thing: http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/06/androids-acne-problem Interesting. I didnt know about the upgrade. I assume once the hardware companies will then unleash 2.2 versions with their skins on top of that as well which will make users buy more phones. You just simply dont see hardware companies unleashing the exact same OS on phones that compete with each other, the OS was one of the things that always made phones very different from each other.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2010 -> 10:24 AM) Out of these people, which one was an Ozzie roster decision? AJ Pierzynski Gordon Beckham Carlos Quentin Jake Peavy Gavin Floyd Mark Buehrle Bobby Jenks all KW, and all have performed successfully at some point for the Sox. Oz: Juan Pierre rotating DH=no power bat that can only hit Those alone are fireable.
