    Insanity

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ May 26, 2010 -> 01:30 AM) Been thinking of trying Insanity out, can anyone who has done this give me some background and how it has worked out for you?? Its extremely hard and I'd recommend P90X as a stepping stone to this. The circuit training on these videos will wipe out even a very good athlete.
  3. QUOTE (hogan873 @ May 26, 2010 -> 06:35 AM) Finally a Super Bowl outside of Florida, California, or a dome. I think this is great, and I hope it opens the door for more cold weather Super Bowls in the future. I was surprised by the amount of people complaining about it, though. And not just the players. I hope it's snowing and 10 degrees. That's football. Yeah, if said superbowls are in the NYC area. Thats the only reason it will be in a cold weather city.
  4. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ May 26, 2010 -> 08:49 AM) I have an even better idea... How about when June 1 rolls around, he's sent to the Cardinals or the Cubs or to the Mets or some other NL team in exchange for some prospects. I think maybe he belongs in the NL. Yes, he has clearly shown that it is the AL he cannot conquer.......... As for a truthful statement. He needs to play some more long toss, lots of it.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 25, 2010 -> 12:31 PM) I dunno why people are having such a difficult time with the questions/mysteries. 90% of the questions were answered to some degree, and the rest are not that important. It's like if you were trying to tell a story about a guy walking down the street in a city. A writer might describe a building or a sign the guy walks by, but you don't need to know the whole history of the building and/or sign to get the story. Because thats simply not true. If they spent an entire episode on something, that makes it important to the story. Just because they couldnt explain it and decided to leave it up in the air in the entire explanation of the finale doesnt make it just a side piece of the story line. They just simply dropped the ball on that piece. I'd say about 10% of the questions were answered, and some of the answers just werent clear. The frustration for me is in the fact that I watched several seasons over and over to try and dissect where the story came from and where did it go, and they simply discounted most of the back story and pieced together a finish to the story with more of a focus on Jack's redemption and some sort of religious path rather than why and how they all got there in the first place.
  6. QUOTE (WHITESOXRANDY @ May 23, 2010 -> 07:51 PM) We told Freddy. He said, " That's a bummer, man. Wait...what were we talking about? Ere....take a..hit..man....pass it back...I've got cotton mouth... where's my slurpee and nachos ? So, what'd they say about the Hudson brothers?" anyone who smokes alot of weed wouldnt get cotton mouth as well as those other symptoms.
  7. QUOTE (T R U @ May 25, 2010 -> 12:37 PM) Ide be shocked if the Hawks don't smash the Flyers I wouldnt. The Flyers were one of the popular picks to make it to the cup at the beginning of the year, they are very evenly matched with the Hawks.

    P90X

Just got back from vacation in Mexico, I was pretty pleased about my fitness level when I left, its going to be tough to get back into it. I will say that these programs really work if you really make sure you press play every day you can.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 25, 2010 -> 10:43 AM) Half of those questions were answered if you have watched the episodes I watched every minute. I dont see any answers to those whatsoever that actually have relevance to the ending.

So the island was? The others were who? The asian guy and the temple was what? The numbers did what? Why push the button in the hatch? Significance of not being able to have children on the island? Why did the island move? Was Whidmore dead when he left? etc etc. Maybe some people want to not have answers from 99 percent of the show, but I think it was weak. The only feasible explanation of the "purgatory" was that the entire sideways flash was only Jack's purgatory until he was ready to move on. It was only from his perspective. Of course that also doesnt fit 100% either.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 17, 2010 -> 10:28 AM) I understand why the iO owner could be upset cause her business will have to be moved for a while. However, all this talk about the "feel and look" of the neighborhood cracks me up. From about Grace to Roscoe, Clark St. is nothing but a baseball stadium, a McDonalds, and a s***load of bars. If you walk down there anytime after a Cubs game or a weekend night, there is nothing but drunks roaming the street and garbage along the curbs and sidewalks. The only reason you live there and your property is worth so much is because of that stadium and the team, so shut the hell up. Hilarious reader letter in the Sun Times today about a group of homeowners who are against the "mallification" of Wrigleyville. He cites that the area is home to nothing but small business owners just trying to make it in the world today and that big box stores would completely change the dynamic of the little neighborhood. Where the f*** does this guy think he lives? He lives in probably one of the most commercialized soulless neighborhoods in the entire city.
  12. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ May 18, 2010 -> 01:31 PM) The poker room there is huge, before I only had been to the Elgin casino so you can imagine my surprise in seeing the difference. Yeah, and filled with wanna-be's who have watched too much poker on TV. It looks intimidating but really its the same old players from the old trump and Grand Vic.
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 18, 2010 -> 01:21 PM) Obviously Rock is saying that he believes Niemi is a 1 hit wonder. I disagree, I think the guy may be legit and if he can take the Hawks to the finals itd be hard to give up on him. I honestly dont think that, but I'm trying to make a decision outside of the box at this point. We have to give up alot of skaters because of the cap hit we are going to take, I'd like to think that Niemi is one of the more valuable pieces that we could actually move if needed.
  14. This guy. I play at the horseshoe in Indiana all the time.
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 18, 2010 -> 01:17 PM) That's foolish. A cheap goaltender who has played better than anything we can find and you want to shop him? Yes, i have a feeling he is at his all time high in value and I'd like some cheap players in return to fill in for the cap hits we let go.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 18, 2010 -> 11:48 AM) You fire Walker because of the struggles of our players adjusting to the league adjusting to them (ie: Fields, Beckham, Quentin). If Walker's going to say he can't help veterans, then who is he really helping? Greg Walker might be the greatest hitting coach ever, but obviously something isn't working with the Sox offense. There's no harm in trying something different. Firing a hitting coach and hoping someone new can help our struggling hitters is a lot more efficient than having to get rid of guys like Quentin. He's been here long enough, time for a different voice. Give Big Frank the job, I dont care, just someone else.
  17. not gonna lie, im shopping Niemi this offseason if I'm the Hawks.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 17, 2010 -> 04:05 PM) Because everyone loves being a Cub fan. You don't have to know anything about baseball, and there's beer. They are the biggest losers in all of sports. They havent won anything in anyone's lifetime for the most part. They are by far the worst team to be a fan of. 1. You cant get tickets to the game if you're a fan because tourists take them all 2. The organization has ZERO motivation to make the team good because no matter what attendance is the same. 3. You have to watch a game in one of the least fan friendly parks in all of baseball. 4. BY default you are labeled a fairweather tourist and frankly your uniform is one of the gayest in sports. Baby bears on your hats? Really? 5. 1908
  19. He'll stay in his 30 million dollar compound in Akron.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 17, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) I never heard it was Palmeiro. I heard about Grace, and even Dave Martinez He plowed Cindy Sandberg and then was traded.
  21. QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 17, 2010 -> 12:53 PM) Well, Buerhle's career numbers are fine because he has pitched in this park and in this league. You have to ignore soem of Peavy's numbers because he pitched in a s***ty league in a huge ballpark. And Buerhle has been bad now since around his perfect game next year. Sometimes players just get older and they get worse. It happens to most. So your answer is yes? Just commit to it, if you believe that career numbers mean nothing compared to a few months of results just say it instead of trying to talk around it. Buehrle is not past his prime and Peavy has had success against the AL, the guy is one of the elite pitchers in the league. I am assuming you do not pay attention to things like mechanics, pitch selection etc as well, because to have the philosophy you have on GM-ing numbers are who the player is now regardless of how he is achieving those.
  22. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 17, 2010 -> 01:34 PM) It could be, then again you could look at a guy like Royce Clayton, where it actually did happen... Palmiero for the Cubs.
  23. Yeah, we dont overvalue our players at all? AJP, hated around the league, having a bad season, would be a short term rental. Give us your top prospects!!!
  24. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 15, 2010 -> 11:32 PM) LOL. Limewire is SO 2004. What do you use? This ruling pretty much just killed traffic on Limewire.
  25. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 17, 2010 -> 10:28 AM) I understand why the iO owner could be upset cause her business will have to be moved for a while. The only reason you live there and your property is worth so much is because of that stadium and the team, so shut the hell up. Cubs fans are under the impression that that area is "always as it has been" because they became fans in 2003.
