QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 13, 2010 -> 05:10 PM) How are they becoming pointless? Because 99% of the stuff we watched is pointless, from the mysterious stations to the crazy orientation videos which just turned out to be orientation videos. Ben has been reduced to an afterthought as now the only thing that really matters is the battle between these two "brothers".

QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:34 PM) Don't worry, Tiffany Pollard didn't make my top 80, but she did make my list. But yea, if I had to pick between Tiffany Pollard and Katy Perry, I'd still pick Pollard. Even though Pollard had a lot of surgeries, I think she actually looks better than ever, especially with that fantastic boob job. Tiffany has sexier lips, more curves (even though it's from surgery), a booty to die for, and her lush chocolate skin is more pleasing to my eyes than Katy Perry's so-pale-that-you-need-sunglasses-to-look-at-her skin. Just my own personal taste. Pollard is a hooker, you can find one of them on craigslist.org

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:23 PM) I think back to the first two seasons. They have become completely pointless. This series is ending badly.... there's no bones about that. Like I've been saying all along.

QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ May 13, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) David Lighty broke his foot again! It's the same injury he had before that cost him the entire season (with a medical redshirt). Recovery time for this type of broken foot is usually 3 months or so. Not a very good sign when you start to have reoccuring breaks in the foot as a basketball player. I wish him a full recovery, he certainly is a key player with a lot of upside for the Bucks. SAme f***ing injury, not great. At least he has more time to heal this time around. f*** -

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 13, 2010 -> 12:29 PM) Ooohh....tell me, what is the solution? Ha, like you dont know. Diet, P90X, insanity, yoga, repeat. Stop ruining my diet every 4 or 5 days.

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 13, 2010 -> 11:09 AM) Well keep at it, buddy...good work! My goal is lean and a 6-pack, its coming along. I've been working at this for years and years and finally I think I've found the solution to this and it feels great. I would recommend hitting up one on one with Tony to change up your P90X maintenance though.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 12, 2010 -> 11:28 AM) I have a very strong fear that that was the end of any pre-modern times island story. I think that's all they are going to give us. Which was a big mountain of dog s***. They dropped the creativity ball so hard on that one. I could have written a more interesting and entertaining back story for the 2 biggest (and most important) characters of the last 2 seasons (if not the show). And I don't buy that the writers knew who adam/eve were. Adam/Eve were a couple, not a mother and her "son." What a crock of poop. I thought Adam and Eve were initially Rose and her husband from many many episodes ago.

QUOTE (iamshack @ May 13, 2010 -> 08:40 AM) Hah...look at you, a full convert now...how much resistance training is there in Insanity, Rock? I'm losing a lot of my bulk...still toned, but going at this just once or twice a week is not going to cut it...thinking I need to do this at least 4 times a week. Not a ton, but some. I am doing a hybrid program now. For example: Monday: Insanity Tues: P90 resistance workout wed: plyo thurs:P90 resistance friday: insanity sat: insanity yoga

QUOTE (Be Good @ May 8, 2010 -> 12:14 AM) Lol,banning someone from entering the park? That made me think of my movie theatre's ban list. We had about 25 people in total on that list (mostly former employees) and we could never enforce it, esp. with a new security guard every day. Now imagine in an entire movie theater with about 1k-3k max of tickets sold at the same time. And now a ball park for that matter with 20k+. It's just not feasible to ban people and enforce it. I was banned from the World Theater for 5 years back when I was in HS/college, not enforceable.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 7, 2010 -> 03:54 PM) haha. I could totally see Mac doing it on a dare. Someone could tell him that he would be famous and in the news for it, he would so do it. Perhaps some practice for the real deal so he would get "used to it"

The place that invented the french dip sandwich is in downtown LA, cant remember the name.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 11, 2010 -> 04:44 PM) Are you Wilt Chamberlain or Gene Simmons? Warren Beatty? LOL. I'll nominate my "ex" wife (well, we've been separated for 4 1/2 years), I always joked she was the Russian Jessica Alba. BTW, don't bother to e-mail her, she already has a fiance, lol. www.irina.s5.com If you want to see the hottest girl I've ever been with, just google "Davon Kim," she's one of my best friends, originally from Cebu City in the Philippines, she's most definitely not Korean. And no, you can't have her e-mail, lol....she's married and living at an undisclosed location in Europe. If you saw all the pictures from the Philippines, Thailand, China....you would wonder why I ever posted here or listened to White Sox games at all. The funniest, though, was when I met Dennis Rodman's dad hanging out in the Philippines. His name is Philander (literally) Rodman and he has at least 19 different kids in the world, although he said the real numbers are in the 30's or 40's range when I asked him if it was true. Crazy guy. I could understand, when he was famous, chicks like Madonna being after his son, but there's nothing really compelling about his father that would cause every woman to want to sleep with him. For the record, I'll trade all those girls for the one in Rock Raines' avatar, but he's never divulged that information. She's like Kristin Kreuk merged with Racheal Leigh Cooke WITH A SOX HAT, lol. But I really have to get one of the KTV girls here in China (the ones with five inch platform heels, those black stockings that should have a garter that the girls wear up to mid thigh, mini-skirt, XXXS blouse) to pose with my White Sox cap on so I can change my avatar. But I love El Gran Titan de Bronze too much!!! so....uh......would you mind if I banged your ex? I'll be gentle.

QUOTE (hawksox13 @ May 12, 2010 -> 04:12 PM) My question involved in my original post was whether or not this had any upcoming implications on moves the Sox may or may not make, thus making it an appropriate topic for the major league board. Sorry if I'm mistaken here. Move it if you'd like. It really won't upset me too much. All I'm saying is Rock doesn't need to be an ass about it. That's part of the reason I don't post on message boards often because people are always so smart and tough over the internet. I thought the topic may interest some Sox fans, I posted it. People who want to read it and respond can, others who it doesn't interest so much can just stay away from the topic. Not sure what the big deal is. Yes, very tough. Also lacking on message boards are people with an actual sense of humor.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 12, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) It's all about timing. Before, when he had that "lag" in his swing, he was just a split second early (in 2008) and everything worked perfectly. Now, he's just a fraction of a second late, he's trying to cheat and he's getting himself out on pitchers' pitches, fouling off a lot of balls that he used to square up and bust into the seats. The classic "in between" description really fits with Quentin. Someone else had it right, his natural RCF stroke became the infamous pull-hook OR, most commonly, just getting under pitches and popping up a ton of balls into RF and the right side of the diamond like Thomas and Crede would also do a lot of times. The physical ability is still there I think, its just got into his head...the psychological side of the game, 90% of baseball is half mental or whatever Yogi Berra said. Same thing with Beckham, really. Whatever it is, the timing, the stance, the lack of a level plane in his swing, the approach of trying to jack everything out of the ballpark and not adjust situationally but just be like Juan Uribe or Brian Anderson and do the same thing every single time up....it's frustrating to watch for everyone who saw how good he was in 2008, and how far he's fallen. You can't have a corner outfielder with a 650-700 OPS playing his abysmal level of defense (currently) or DHing, but I guess he fits right in there with TMK as a pair. Hey, we are actually going to agree on something. His swing plane is absolute s***. He isnt in a position to hit the ball hard to all fields like before. IN fact his swing at anything on the outside portion of the plate is a completely modified swing in the moment. I'm not sure where this stemmed from, or what adjustments he tried to make in his stance/swing/load, but its not an effective change whatsoever.
-
Quite simply, he sucks. His swing looks like s***, he's either compensating for a wrist that never fully healed, or his mechanical overhaul was a terrible mistake. His stance, swing, angle, and approach look nothing like the Quentin of two year ago.

QUOTE (hometeamfan @ May 12, 2010 -> 02:33 PM) been saying that all day.....Danks went 3-0 several times when the batter was OUT. If it goes both ways, ok. But Sox were getting squeezed all day. Blue mustve grown up in Minny Blue needs to see a heat map of where he was calling pitches. Pavano would have walked 7 if he didnt get a 36 inch plate. -

QUOTE (BFirebird @ May 12, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) If that is the case..I wouldn't be surprised to see a Sox hitter get in a shouting match in the 9th if there is a close call. Brutal strike zone. Pavano was dropping changeups about 5 inches off the plate and getting calls. Santos threw a slider that split the plate and it was a ball. -
Title of thread should be: Soxtalk poster starts thread about minor league signing.....Why?

This is one of the most lop-sided strikezone I've seen in awhile. Pavano was getting calls all over the outside of the plate, Danks and Santos arent getting calls right over the middle of the plate. Shoot, Pierre K'ed on one that went by his shoulder. -

QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ May 12, 2010 -> 12:26 PM) Don't place it all on Luongo...that entire team (minus Kyle Wellwood) choked. That was a horrible display and there needs to be a coaching change and some more energy guys brought in for them to make it any further in the playoffs. That being said...they are on the golf course...we are in San Jose! Their "scoring" line was garbage. The Sedin's were entirely contained by our top 4 D-men. -
Old school shaving cream works wonders. I have also used the microwave treatment on stubborn gloves. Now I just go buy a good used one at play it again. Thats where I got my current Robin Yount signature series.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 11, 2010 -> 07:43 PM) Ryan was the first to offer Henry (I believe). Ryan has been pretty good at spotting talent with his early offers, he just hasnt landed many of them. He has a ridiculous eye. He was all over Turner way before many of the other schools. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 11, 2010 -> 04:14 PM) Does the school even have the money to replace him if this season goes poorly? I know the basketball program at U of I makes a ton of money, but the school is broke right now, just like every other college in this state. And considering he's recruiting pretty well, they have an excuse to keep him around. I think you give Weber a chance to make it with the players he has coming in. Let these upperclassmen leave and watch him build a good team with some serious talent.
