  1. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 04:06 PM) My iMac i bought in 2005 still runs as well as it did the day I bought it and I've never done a single OS reinstall. Its a beautiful thing. I have a powerbook G3 that still runs well. My imac that I got not too long ago is an absolute beast of a machine, I wish I had switched to this years ago.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 04:13 PM) Probably not. I have Norton Anti-Virus, I don't get viruses. That will stop some, but not all. Windows is swiss cheese when it comes to spyware, viruses and little issues that can kill your OS. I've been through enough Dell's, IBM's, Lenovo's etc through the years to know that. And I work for a company that makes anti virus software and I get the enterprise version for free. Still doesnt matter. Now if you arent downloading anything at any time, maybe you'll be ok.
  3. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 02:58 PM) Yep, I would take the Dell Inspiron 15. And have to replace the hard drive within 2 years, re-image the OS because of performance issues and spyware a few times finally having to upgrade after 3 years.
  4. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 03:01 PM) That's only because he and Turner do not like each other. Turner is very mouthy on the court. If a guy is talking s***, or course your gonna talk s*** back.. after you continuous score on him. Rose isn't a verbal guy.. he does his "talking" when he scores. Rondo also has a mouth (like KG) so I just think Rose dropping 39 on him gave him the message. McCamey as well is a huge talker, he and Rose went at it quite a bit as well.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 03:19 PM) Pinella takes Soriano out in a double switch. The crowd gives Pinella a standing O for it. I was just going to post this. Hilarious. 2 errors on the day I believe.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 12:31 PM) Once I think I'm out, you pull me back in... You prove my point... this season does not matter, and the enthusiasm surrounding what could be the perfect storm of bad luck for the Raptors to get the Bulls #8 is hilariously stupid. Now I am out for good. Again. Hey, we led the league in attendance, "best fans in the crowd" according to Brad Miller. Seriously, the playoffs are just a nice bonus to see D Rose play more IMO. I really dont care if they make it. I really enjoyed beating the Celtics last night though, what a bunch of assclowns that team is, as well as the chicago based celtic fanbase that most likely has never been to Boston.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 12:24 PM) Same as the Bulls beating the Cavs. I do not understand. All the Bulls making the playoffs does is enable management to pocket more cash after more sellouts for a s*** team. I'll stay out of this thread now. Who cares, we WANT them to have more cash anyway. Improvements to the facility, the team and overall the franchise. The goal of next year is to sign someone big and build around that person and DRose. This season was all about saving money, and was basically a giveaway year.
  8. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 11:53 AM) Can you write on it? Like e-notes? Or does it all have to be typed? As of right now I understand that it doesnt have the writing feature, only the keyboard or a bluetooth keyboard. Supposedly the writing feature is on its way. The thing is that if you do a landscape keyboard its not too difficult to take notes.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 11:54 AM) Derrick Rose actually talks s***? This is new to me. I've seen him do it a few times. I know he had some legendary verbal battles with Turner and McCamey in HS that are on youtube. And I dont think its a negative thing, all athletes talk a little s*** now and again.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 08:43 AM) I'm not going to lie, sounds like it would be pretty useful for my 11 and 14 hour flights to and from Shanghai coming up. The thing is that people critical of the ipad (like myself initially) are trying to fit it into the world of laptop computing. It is just not what it was intended for. It is a casual media device that is very useful for certain things like working with media, or surfing the internet. Thats about it. With the cellular support, you basically have something that is a mobile magazine or book with the capability to watch movies or shows. If you want to do alot more than that, of course you are going to be disappointed. Now if you just want to do some basic functions, work with media, read ebooks and basically entertain yourself with an extremely mobile device, then you will love the ipad. There really isnt much better than it for just sitting around on the couch surfing the web or watching bootlegged internet TV. A couple of co-workers of mine actually replaced their notebooks with ipads for taking notes in meetings and showing demos to clients. Pretty slick.

QUOTE (The Gooch @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) LOL I lied, I meant I that I did chest, tris, and shoulders. I just brainfarted. The decline pushup sound great right now compared to the one arms and the slow mo pushups The two twitch speed pushups in CST is one of the hardest exercises in the program, especially when you do it late in the workout.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 11:44 PM) I haven't been to the Cell in a while, but those parking lots that stretch forever to the south (i think it's the south) and the neighborhood to the north ... aren't there still a zillion homes in those areas? I mean couldn't all those be sold to giant hotel companies and restaurants and bars, etc? if the neighborhood was destined to be a destination neighborhood? The Cell basically sits there and to the West is beautiful Bridgeport, but to the north and south there is nothing but homes and to the East is a neighborhood that really could be thriving but isn't? Couldn't the college and the east of the park really be the area that could boom if somebody had a plan??? Who lives in all those homes to the north and south of the park? That's not considered Bridgeport is it? They've built quite a few beautiful houses south of the park and directly west. The funny part is that most of the northside idiots who talk s*** about the area around the Cell wouldnt be able to afford even 10% of one of those houses. I do wish there were more restaurants and nice taverns closer to the park down 35th st.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) TNT actually caught that. When Meyers had the ball was holding it above Rondo's head when they went to a media timeout. Rondo got a lot of shoulders to the chest in the middle of the Bulls huddle. Thats great they caught that. I had a great view of it and then Pete telling Rondo to go the f*** back to his bench. I couldnt tell if he said something about his rings at that point, but the guys on the bench were dying laughing.
  14. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) Was Rose talking s*** to Rondo? Awesome. Rose has been a s*** talker since HS, but last night he just continued to stare down Rondo. I was about 11 rows up and could see him challenging him over and over.
  15. Funny thing is, if he said these things about Cubs fans, there would be nothing but support and laughter from the people in this thread.

QUOTE (The Gooch @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 09:35 PM) I just did the same and my upper body feels like jelly. I upped my weights this week, which might have something to do with it The best is the second round when you move to decline pushups and you knock out maybe the first 10 and then all of a sudden your body just drastically loses strength. Love that pump.
  17. QUOTE (joeynach @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 07:10 PM) This is one of the main reasons the cub fan base has been moving from gritty die hards to just a bunch of rowdy frat boys over the last 10 years or so. And its not just us that have noticed. We had had the whole beer dumping incident last year with Vicotrino. And here its not that the t shirts themselves are bad, but the glorification of this type of stuff by the "cubbie faithful". The fact that after they signed Fukudome a couple years ago, a big signing at the time, 4 years 48 mil, a player thought to really anchor the cubs outfield, there fanbase made a spectacle out of the whole thing. Its all a big happy go fun time joke to them. They glorify this whole ra ra wooo hoo attitude where the actual game is the in the background. To sign Fukudome and then see every young person (my age), frat boys, young trixies, even young couples, wearing these shirts, singing these chants, and wearing red head bands like their Japanese warriors is disgusting. Enjoy the game, enjoy the park, enjoy chicago summer, even wear a funny t shirt once in a while, but dont make a mockery of 100+ years of baseball and turn a following a baseball game (or team) into just another partying/ra ra activity. I'd venture to guess far less than 1% of the fans at Wrigley were in a fraternity. Nice generalization though.
  18. QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) Yawn... From what I watched tonight, Romero was pretty sick. He was Johan-esque. Nasty.
  19. Just got back from the game. First of all, holy hell alot of fairweather celtics fans live in chicago. And they are dumb fans. Second, talk about a different league, D Rose just schooled the s*** out of Rondo, and told him about it the entire game. Awesome. Pete Meyers even f***ed with Rondo at one point.

  21. QUOTE (35thstreetswarm @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 05:00 PM) The shirt that calls U.S. Cellular Field the "World's Largest Ghetto" deserves a special place in t-shirt hell. There's lots wrong with it, but at the top of the list is the fact that it doesn't remotely make sense. U.S. Cellular Field is a single building - wouldn't it be the world's "smallest ghetto"? Assuming the wearer of the shirt thinks the neighborhood surrounding the ballpark is a "ghetto," wouldn't that very neighborhood be one particularly obvious example of a larger "ghetto?" For god's sake... There is a TON more crime in wrigleyville as well as homelessness and drug problems. Bridgeport is much more family friendly and safe. Of course since 70 percent of fans at Wrigley Field come from out of the area, they would have no idea which neighborhood is which anyway.

  23. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) I am not so sure I agree with the upside at the plate part. Upside over last year? sure, but not more so than his best years. But I agree there is no comparison. I would say that Soriano has the worst contract in all of baseball. If I were a Cubs fan I would feel sick thinking of that clown playing another 5 years for my team. The Cubs are now taking him out of the game in late innings for defensive purposes. He is going to be a part time player in a year or 2.
