  1. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 02:29 PM) Illinois will play Northwestern at Wrigley Field this year. Northwestern is giving up a home game to do this. Meh, they never REALLY have home games anyway.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:39 AM) Bickell/Burrish in, Fraser/Eager out... we're not losing much, but not gaining much either. Campbell in had better mean Sopel out... though I wish it meant Byfuglien back to offense. EDIT: actually if Campbell is back, I'd assume that would mean no Bickell tonight and Buff would go to offense. You are losing a bit with Fraser out, but we need Burish in there for offensive purposes instead of Eager.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 10:17 AM) I don't know if its because I'm using bands or what, but my arms are not nearly as sore as I expected them to be the day after Shoulders & Arms. My arms aren't dead after the workout, but I don't feel like I could do the next higher band on any of the exercises yet. Am I doing something wrong? My arms are dead about 25 min in. Maybe you need to step up to the next band. How many reps are you doing?
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 04:45 PM) This is such a short-sighted move by the Cubs. Do they really buy into Silva's start so far, with the fact he's faced the Astros and Reds? As a Cubs hater, I love this move. I also think this signifies the beginning of the end of the Zambrano era in Chicago. Watch him get traded for Javy Vazquez. I'll take him if they pay his salary and put him in our 5th starter spot. They wont find anyone to take that salary, unless they trade for someone like, oh I dont know, Milton Bradley
  5. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 10:32 AM) He and Hossa would be nice. Sadly the only guys I think really playing well are Sopel, Kane and the Swedish Hammer. Q is a .500 coach in playoffs maybe that is all we are going to get with him. This team does not look like it can adjust to anything Nashville is doing. I completely disagree that Toews has been absent. He factored in scores in game 2 and has had played some good 2-way hockey. He also has had several near misses off the post.
  6. I still cant believe that this was a guy they called their Ace.
  7. FWIW, a locker room insider told me that by far the worst attitudes in the Cubs locker rooms the last few years are: 1. Bradley (duh) 2. Zambrano Maybe they are just sick of his s***.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 03:38 PM) Yeah, their new people are going to have some serious contract issues to work on. They also lose D Lee, probably the best player in the clubhouse and on the field.
  9. I tried to post there but got so confused just trying to find a way to find something to post about. Then I couldnt find the right buttons. And that was the end of that.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 01:09 PM) They already know what people want it to do...if there is one thing about Apple products is they get massive press coverage and massive reviews... I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they didn't do this purposefully. Just that I don't understand it. It doesnt appear to be purposeful considering the actions that were taken to get it back, to keep info from people and also the case to disguise it like an iphone 3g. I am getting my 3gs this week and hopefully will be rocking 4.0 OS in June. The new one they got ahold of though appears to have taken care of alot of people's gripes, especially the ichat issue. It looks like you will be able to ichat from your iphone, which is sick.
  11. QUOTE (dmbjeff @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 12:06 PM) What is crazy is me having to pay more for parking $23 than for even a great seat on StubHub, about $15. Pay 2 bucks at the meters 1 block due east of the park.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 04:43 PM) Just did plyo for the second time. I couldn't hang with them the entire time, but I did much better than the first round. Take small breaks if you need them, but power through, they get easier, alot easier. S+A yesterday was so refreshing.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 04:24 PM) I guess if you aren't stupid, and have a good virus software, you will be fine. I have downloaded over 1,500 songs and 30+ movies just on my laptop alone, and I am sure over 5,000 songs on my desktop over the the 5-6 years. Like I said, only 1 problem w/ my desktop, and that may have been because I was messing w/ internal things that I really should not have because I am not that advanced w/ computers enough to be running ghost drives and iso software, ect. So I'm stupid as well as thousands of other people? I am advanced with computers and work for a company that makes a top flight anti virus solution and still I've had issues with my PC's. I would actually say people who dive into the actual abilities of computers run into issues because of these things. My mom has a PC and has never had an issue because she does email and AOL. I use a PC at work and its one of the most locked down networks you'll ever see as well as a very managed piece of hardware. I've still had to fix OS issues as well as application problems. I'm pretty sure that the IT staff of a multi-billion dollar company isn't stupid.

Nice work dude. Keep it up. I expect to post some final pics here in the next month or so.
  15. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 12:22 PM) Wow I would stay it is the complete opposite. Me too. The only time worth watching is the 4th quarter, the rest of the game is one on one bball with the rest of the players standing around.
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 02:22 AM) Haha. They actually have an agreement with a local fresh fish market or something along those lines to sell octopi to fans going to the Joe. Its actually a science to sneak one of them into the Joe. You can compress it down so that you cant even tell that you are hiding it. Pretty cool....and gross.
  17. None of those deals were stopped by KW, so I'm not sure what the point of the thread is. I'm sure there are plenty of deals that he offered that were turned down.
  18. It's so hard for me to watch any inning when Juan Pierre comes up to bat.
  19. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 11:23 AM) Like whom? Nathan's injured, so i'll wait to see what comes of that. Who else? Lidge? Unreliable. Papelbon? K-Rod? Pethaps, but given Marmol's dominance it's likely he could be on their level, by the time MO packs it in. Marmol is on the verge of becoming an elite closer, there's no debating that. Why is there no debating that? He wasnt exactly stellar last year and we have yet to see what he does this year in a full season. The guy's command comes and goes. He's a walk or a strikeout. Personally, I am not sold on that as something indicative of an elite closer. If I was to pick the "next" closer being one that hasnt been around very long, I would take Andrew Bailey and Joakim Soria well before Marmol.
  20. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 07:37 PM) When MO retires, i think it'll be fair to say that Marmol could easily vie to be the best in the league. He's nigh unhittable. Come on, seriously? He's only good when he's on, which is only some of the time. There are better young closers out there than Marmol.

    Sushi in Chicago

QUOTE (Cali @ Apr 16, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) That Macku Place looks good. I'm really only looking for some good, but not super-fancy overly priced sushi. Where are you staying? There are alot of sushi places in chicago, each with a different flair. My go to's: South Coast-top notch Rise-expensive but good Sushi Pink-local standby Mirai South coast is by far my fav. Better and much less crowded than Coast in Bucktown. I could design the entire menu for you because I go there that much. Pink is a block away from me and is a great value.
  22. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) We'd be lucky to come in 3rd place with our current lineup. Yeah right. Look at the crap in that league. The pitching is absolutely terrible. We would feast on weak breaking balls and the bullpen's crap pitches.
