QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 01:21 PM) I'd bet that Jones/Kotsay do better than that this year. Probably not a LOT better unless Jones is comeback player of the year, but, still better than what looks like a more or less .250/.310/.430/.740 line. And as a bonus, I think they both believe in Dinosaurs.

Well, he DID bat this guy in the DH spot for 135 games in 2005: vs RHP .246 .317 .441 .757 vs LHP .265 .295 .419 .714

QUOTE (The Gooch @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 01:07 PM) Definitely will check that out, thanks for the info. On a side note, just finished some early afternoon plyo and am heading into a recovery week. I am going to use this week and extra yoga time to think about who I hate more: Adam in ab ripper x, or Dominick in plyo Adam for me. Because Plyo is much easier than ARX after a resistance workout. I want to punch his face off. Heres some of the stuff I get on amazon. Free shipping and no tax. http://www.amazon.com/Clif-Builders-Bar-Pr...pf_rd_i=3764441 Cliff bars. Good snack or meal replacement. Lots of protein. Goes for almost 4-5 bucks at my local 7-11 http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-St...ef=pd_sim_hpc_5 This is a new Whey that I am using instead of Muscle Milk to help me lean down a bit. Tastes ok and is pretty damn cheap. 60 bucks my my local GNC. Free shipping as well. http://www.amazon.com/USP-LABS-JACKED-LEMO...ef=pd_sim_hpc_6 I am not using this currently, but I know a few people who swear by it for resistance workouts. The price on this is ridiculous, about half off. http://www.amazon.com/Glutamine-Powder-Unf...0815&sr=1-7 Gluamine, half off. The deals on amazon are ridiculous. My GNC card has been permanently burned. I'd be interested to see what others are taking.

I f***ing hate the way he pitches. Looks like he jumps during his delivery.

Keep that a secret if you can, thats good fightin ammo later on. "Oh yeah, well (insert best friend's name here) f***ed me better than you ever have anyway."

Modern Family is one of the best written shows I've seen in a long time. What comedic genius.

QUOTE (The Gooch @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 11:30 AM) After a workout is the best time to take it. If you are going to add another shake into your day, they say first thing in the morning is a great time for a protein shake because you obviously weren't putting any protein into your body while you were sleeping. On another note, I can't afford to be buying both protein and recovery drinks all the time, so after a tough workout I often drink a glass of chocolate milk as I have heard that it has everything you need after a workout where you've been sweating a lot. Yeah, the carbs in that are great. Check out amazon for some great deals on protein. I am saving almost 50% over GNC on there. I just grabbed some ON protein and some cliff builder bars for super cheap.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 12:21 AM) And if she is going to cheat on him, what makes you think that him telling her to not talk to her ex is going to stop her from doing anything? And if she cheats, make sure you f*** her best friend before you break up.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 09:11 AM) Silly protein supplement question, since it's come up here. Is there a best time to take a supplement if you're going to have one? Replacement for a meal? Before a workout? After workout? much later/much earlier? What kind of supplements? Some are great for after a workout, some are great for nighttime or morning depending on the kind of protein. Personally I usually rock a protein bar about 2 hours before my workout. Then I'll have a shake right after mixed with some milk for recovery. It also depends on which protein I am taking. My muscle milk is great for recovery and meal replacement, but I dont like it so much for adding to my protein load since its rich in calories and carbs. I use my Gold Standard Whey by ON for just adding to my protein intake at any time since its really lean. I have been adding some glutamine to it as well.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 06:35 AM) You mean with the workouts? I feel I've been pretty good with knowing my stopping point. I'm assuming to still take protein after Yoga today, too. He's talking about the protein. You really dont want to exceed your body weight in protein during the day. I generally only take one shake and maybe one bar during the day, so I keep my shakes to around30-40 grams of protein. If you are taking 2 a day, you may not want to have 100 of your protein cals coming from your shakes. Or maybe you do. Just keep an eye on it. And yes, I take it every day, because first of all it keeps you feeling full, and secondly it really helps your recovery so when you do resistance workouts you arent so sore you cant complete them. How are you liking it so far? If you keep it up, you will see results by the end of next week.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 10:33 PM) Day 3 down, starting with protein today. The bottle says one-two scoops....26 grams of protein per scoop....and I'm not sure if I should do 1 or 2. do 2

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 09:56 PM) It might be possible that there will be a player I hate more than Darin Erstad. Why? Kotsay will hit righties very well. This is what he was brought on the team to do.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 06:08 PM) Oh, the Karen Pot Stirrers! I like how Tony rips on someone for saying lobster bisque. Then a different routine, he says "I'm making lobster bisque, but not for me..." Ok, Tony. The German chick, eh? I like Audra, from the Yoga and ab ripper workouts. I think she's the only reason I do the Yoga, is to check out her boobs every week. German Potato soup. If thats not a P90X soup I dont know what is. About your previous post, yeah, I am putting on alot of shoulder and arm size, not so much definition. Maybe thats the design, I havent noticed it before. The weights are making my gains very noticable.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 05:14 PM) Oregon has ridiculous donor money though that I believe still puts them overall at #1. Do you have a number for that? All I remember is them pledging a few years ago to give them 100 million for the start up of an athletic fund. I havent seen any annual numbers on that. As an athletic dept, they are many notches below the top programs since their revenue is around 60 million, so Nike would have to give over 50 million annually to make them the clear favorite. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) There's a difference between revenue and profit. I think you're quoting raw revenue numbers. Yes, because the budget is about 100 million. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 04:19 PM) Oregon also has the richest athletic department thanks to the large Nike donations. Afterall, they stole my baseball coach. Actually I believe 1 and 2 are Texas and OSU depending on the year. They constantly battle for the top spot. OSU comes in at around 118 million annually. -

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) I certainly wouldn't rule that out, if only because GT is a fairly solid program with a lot of good talent. That being said, all the discussion of him leaving for a crappy program (Oregon or Auburn) is hilarious and has no validity. Why is Oregon a crappier program than Minny BTW? Whens the last time the Gophers won a conference title? Looks like 1982. The Ducks won in 2002 and won the conf tourney in 03 and 07. Oregon has made the NCAA tourney 5 times in this decade, while Minny has only done it 3 times. In those appearances, Oregon made the elite 8 in 02 and 07, Minny last did that in 1990. I understand alot of the success of the Gophers has been washed away due to scandals in the 90's but I still dont understand why you call Oregon a crappy program when they've been more successful than Minnesota has been of late. Auburn does suck though. -
Jones just got robbed of a double down the line.

hahaha, taint shot.

Teahen looks so mechanical.

QUOTE (scenario @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 03:19 PM) I saw the replay on Teahen's play... What did he do wrong? Looks like it was a good strong throw. And I thought Upton was out. He was out, I watched it several times.

pretty sure upton was out at first.
