QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:44 AM) A big part of what made the Hawks so awesome last year was their depth, because it meant they got contributions from all over the place. A lot of the depth is going to be a lot younger and less experienced next year. The big boys are still studs, and the young guys are not short on talent, but I just think it might be another year before the kids are ready to balance out the team to the point where they can win 16 playoff games. Exactly, they will compete, but they may not have the horses to go the whole way and beat that many good teams in the playoffs. But they should be a contender for several years while some of the players in the pipe develop into those serious contributors.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:31 AM) He'll probably put some pretty big (albeit empty, since the team is a pile of crap) numbers for the Leafs next year. Definitely one of the coolest uni's in sports though, so he didnt lost that much in terms of jerseys.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 10:09 AM) Trust me, anyone else on that line next year is going to rock the big bad 44 points that Steeger put up without costing 3 mill per year. Hence why he had to go, but the guy could still score. I fully expect him to continue his development throughout his career. He was a clear rapeage of the Bruins when he was acquired.

Another 4 star commit for Tress. He's on FIRE> -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 09:27 AM) Yuck. Steeger is seriously not that good and he really doesn't have a nose for the net... a fear of the net seems more accurate. Nope, I'll stick with nose for the net. 6th on the team in the reg season with 44 points. The guy can fill it up and has great hands.

Man, I love Steeger. He has great hands and a nose for the net. Gonna be hard watching him in another uni. With that said, he had to go.

QUOTE (Real @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 07:00 PM) They're the same player, listen to any NBA guy, including Bernstein.... Wade+Rose would be odd having two guys playing the same position Rose plays the 1, Wade plays the 2. Not sure how thats the same.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 11:17 AM) I'd like to see De Aza on this roster. Give Pierre something to play for. When he was given a chance last year, he hit real well. It's as if the guy can't hit when there's nothing endangering him. +1 for me. I dont understand why he isnt being given some consideration. I f***ing hate Juan Pierre and his tired bulls*** hitting.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 05:31 PM) B&B today....I'm amazed at how weak I was because of this back and neck tweak I have... Forgot to post yesterday that I did 5 mile run at 7:24 pace, real good for me. Running is getting easier and I like the change of pace cardio. Chest and Back in about 5 min with some ARX thrown in at the end.

QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 04:45 PM) Another "rumor" - LBJ contacts Ray Allen to take less money to join him, Bosh and Dwade in Miami for Dream Team http://miamiherald.typepad.com/sedano-says...dream-team.html HAHAHA.

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) Leaving Wed for Nashville and flying out of Nashville early Thursday morning. Almost ready. 2 questions... 1. Are reservations available/necessary at Tufano's (Thursday night after 8pm) 2. Going to Lou Malnati's Friday night. Should there be any preference between their Lincoln Park (Wrightwood) and River North (N Wells St) locations? Lincoln Park would be closer to where we are coming from, but River North is not far from hotel. The Lou's in river north is ALWAYS packed, people waiting upwards of 90 min every time I go in there for pickup.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 05:38 PM) If you think that way about Sale, then he's no different than another Aaron Poreda. And he's an incredibly different and more advanced pitched than Poreda was.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 01:52 PM) Wow, he's lucky. Will somebody please tell this guy how to properly throw a pitch so that this doesn't happen again? He's been on the DL 6 times since March 2008, twice on the 60-day with I believe 3 surgical procedures already. The dude is a mess.

His elbow was bound to blow up again eventually. I have to admit, dont care that much, never liked the guy.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 12:59 AM) So, just a driver's license is needed then? "L" class license for 150 cc's and under. I am enrolled to get my "M" anyway. The L is very easy to get, just go to DMV and take test. So far almost 300 miles on my blackjack and loving every min of it. I can drive to Sox games and park basically anywhere I want in any permit zone. I ride up north to grab food and whatnot and my gf and I ride 2-up to just about any restaurant and can park basically for free. This is the only way to get around. So far spent about 6 dollars on gas.

QUOTE (girlslikebaseballtoo#26 @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 05:07 PM) I don't think Decker is all that great either ...she's ok at best. IMO Well, women dont like other pretty women, thats just a fact.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 11:53 PM) G, How much work does it do on your upper body and back? I've considered trying Insanity, but I just don't really see the need for it. I'm in pretty solid shape and don't really care to get any thinner, because I know I won't maintain it. I'm not going to bust my ass to get to like 7% body fat only to eventually go back to the mid teens anyways. Insanity is MUCH more cardio, if you dont need to lean out, you dont need it. It's a f***ing impossible cardio workout coupled with resistance circuit training. I've given it to several people who are marathoners etc, and they have a real hard time with it as well.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 11:00 AM) I really like mine, but the full experience won't be realized until a lot of people have them so you can really use the video calling. I don't know anyone else who has one, so I haven't been able to do that yet. I just picked up the new version of xcode so I can try to develop some aps. Maybe a soxtalk ap?

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 10:43 AM) That is quite humorous. That was good. However it missed the most important part of the i phone. The actual Ipod.

I love how we are debating whether or not just Santos is worth Dunn. Guess what, any "name" impact player is going to cost our top prospects, thats just how it is. If you want someone like Dunn, or Fielder etc, we are going to have to give up some talent.

It's June 28th. And the Cubs still suck.

QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 08:28 AM) Thanks for the tip. I found that by accident last week. Part of the reason for scheduling everything is so that we can figure out where to go and how to get there. I've already entered all directions into my wireless phone through Sat. Working on Sunday today. It is very helpful. I noticed last night that a route I had previously looked up did not show up. Eventually I realized that it was because I had not changed the departure date and time and it was only looking up options available at 1:00 am. Once I corrected the date/time, the route was there. For about 15 minutes I was thinking I had messed up the first time and it was driving me nuts. The other tip I have for those traveling to Chicago and taking public transportation is to order a transit card in advance. www.transitchicago.com sells 1 and 3 day passes which allow for unlimited use on all trains and buses. No need to worry about money to pay at each stop. You can order them in advance and have them mailed to you. ctabustracker.com will tell you when buses are coming to your stop as well. Will save you alot of time.
