  1. Well, its been confirmed that the attacked who injured OSU LB and put him out for the year was a Gator fan who googled Tyler before confronting him. He's been charged with a felony and faces 5 years in jail.
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 05:14 PM) Doesn't Harrison have a pretty large reputation of being a loner and not having very my friends on teams he plays for? Yes, he also has a rep of needing TONS of reps in practice because he relies so much on being precise and having exact timing, which isnt a luxury the Bears can afford him.
  3. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 04:56 PM) Ok, just for the sake of being sure, and in the interest of science, I bought one of those Muscle Milk drinks today (the non light variety because I just can't imagine that tasting good), and it tastes better than I remember, but it still has a bit of a weird aftertaste, but it's not that bad at all...it's drinkable now. I haven't tried the powders though, since I already have my whey and egg protein powders still...until those are gone I won't be buying anything new. The light isnt all that bad, but I'm glad you tried it out. What flavor?
  4. I guess the Bears finally figured out their receiving corps suck.

    Home networks

I use DVD Cloner to rip dvd's as well as Vuze to convert files to HD for my PS3 as well as IPOD compatible files. I stream it all wirelessly through an old G router with WEP. Drive down madison and I bet you can find my network...
  6. These are also BY FAR my worst playoff seats in 6 years. I called and b****ed and their excuse was that they had to give so many tickets to MLB. Bulls***.
  7. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 01:55 PM) You need to be careful with these supplements -- to many of them can cause kidney problems and liver damage. I usually use one supplement type drink per day, never more. It's good booster protein, but it shouldn't be your primary source of protein, that should always come from real food, meat, fish, etc. My theory is that this is why athletes are made of glass these days, too much cheap quality proteins (from supplements) rather than getting their fuel from real meat, etc. I'm convinced of this. I agree, just look at the number of nutrition companies you can find on one of these discount sites. http://www.bulknutrition.com/?products_id=7200 its amazing. I actually generally use shakes as a hunger supression tool as I am always hungry and the shakes seem to curb those cravings and also help with recovery. On a daily basis I get most of my protein from chicken or fish, but have tried to incorporate more egg whites. I take in about 50-75 from shakes and any additional comes from what I eat for dinner. Lunch is mostly vegetables.
  8. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 01:47 PM) Where do you get these for 1$ each? Hook it up. My friend works for a wholesale supplement store and their cost is very low, shows you how much they mark that s*** up. Online you can get them for about 2 bucks each for the 11oz if you search a little bit. I use both the canister and the RTD, but I grab a RTD every morning on my way to work as breakfast and then maybe one at the gym, or if I workout at home i'll use the canister and actually do a scoop of reg and one of lite. Im also a cheeseball and I bought the P90x recovery drink just for the hell of it. http://www.beachbody.com/product/supplemen...very_formula.do
  9. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 01:38 PM) Edit: That's not the muscle milk powder, the numbers I posted above are what the powders render, this looks like a 1/2 serving of what the powder recommends. That's what you're taking -- that's those individual pre-mixed Muscle Milk brand shakes...that's great for people who can spend 4-5$ on a single supplement drink everyday, but for the rest of us, buying the powders+fruit causes each drink to cost about 1$ in comparison. :/ I get em for about a dollar each. Also the power in the canister which I have also isnt what you posted earlier, they have changed it quite a bit. The lite version is also fairly good as well but not as tasty. I believe you posted the older version of the powder which scared me away a few years ago because of the fat content until someone told me they changed it. I recommend the ON protein powder however since you can add it to anything, juice, cereal etc and it add 20 g of protein to any substance. its pretty damn good.
  10. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 07:46 PM) IMO, Muscle Milk has wayyyyyyyyy to much fat/calories per serving -- it's like a semi-weight gainers/protein shake with vitamins. It's more of a meal replacement than a protein supplement, which is what the above shake is really made for. Oh, and I think Muscle Milk tastes like crap, the point of this thread was for shakes that do NOT taste like crap. Edit: 2 scoops of muscle milk: Calories 350 Calories from Fat 160 Total Fat 18 gm 28% Saturated Fat 8 gm 40% I could have eaten half a friggin' Pizza, if not more, with the same caloric/fat intake with even MORE protein (cheese contains lots of it). No thanks on Muscle Milk. Not to mention 2 scoops of MM is about 10g LESS protein than what is in my shake, with 1/2 the calories, with almost NO fat. Lean and mean...lean and mean! Honestly, not sure where you got that info, my MM shakes are less than 300 cals with about 6gms of fat ) trans and sat, and ALOT less sugar. Also if you really think that eating half a pizza is the same as whatever shake you just posted, you need to dig a little bit deeper than just nutritional info on a label. I also think that they are delicious. What I dont like about your shake up top is the dairy, I have to stay away from that to be honest. Not a huge fan of adding the fruit either, but thats just because it can be annoying. I take one of the MM drinks + a scoop of ON protein powder which doubles the protein intake. MM nutritional info 230 calories 9g fat 1.5 is sat 3g sugar 25g protein ON adds another 70 cals and about 20 g of protein. You can basically mix it in any substance to add protein to a meal.
  11. Little known fact: the 2008 white sox team had a better record than this one, and most of you were out on that one. I am in until we are mathematically eliminated.
  12. muscle milk, dont have to add anything.
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 02:55 PM) Y2HH, What about my current routine? Do you see any issues with primary/secondary muscles being worked on the same day? Chest Legs/triceps Shoulders Back/Biceps I throw in a an ab routine on days where I have more free time. I do Legs and back cardio/plyo Chest shoulders triceps cardio back and biceps or Chest and back cardio Shoulders and arms cardio/stairs Legs and back Abs on those days and not on the cardio days

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 24, 2009 -> 03:26 PM) I'm not blaming him. It just sucks that I can't do pullups. Well, mine that hangs on the door frame doesnt do damage to it really so far. Another option is to get the rubberbands that will shut in the top of doors and you can do your back exercises with that.
  15. Alexei and its not even close. There should be a disclaimer at the top of the board that keeps mentioning he's a rookie at the position for god sakes.
  16. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 22, 2009 -> 03:38 PM) Its always nice to have a fellow practitioner of the dark arts of IT on here. Since I work with alot of the IT folks in the industry, I consider myself one of them by proxy.
  17. I sell enterprise software to a few major fortune 100 companies in Illinois. I work for the 4th largest software company in the world. (figure that one out)
  18. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Aug 21, 2009 -> 04:54 AM) Count me as one of the biggest fans of his departure. Me too. Offensively, and also defensively. At the end he was a so-so SS and its funny how people forget how many plays he took off during the course of a season. I'll always remember him for his playoff push and catches, but we are in much better shape now.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 02:52 PM) Lexi just doesn't seem right at ss in my opinion. Not good enough. Too volatile a player. Not good enough how? He makes rookie mistakes? Yes, cause he's a rookie at the position. Look at his upside, good range, great arm, great height and reach. He will be a plus SS before the end of next season, there is no doubt in my mind.
  20. QUOTE (beck72 @ Aug 20, 2009 -> 08:01 AM) It's way too early for that. No one here really knows what Gordon looks like at SS. Neither do the sox, as he's only played 3b and 2b here and in ST. While he probably doesn't have Alexei's range, he may have the brains and hands to make up for it. Whether Gordon is a Jeter [with whom the Yanks stick with at SS] or a Michael Young [who they move for the betterment of the team], it remains to be seen. No its not. Scouts have been saying he's a 2B for awhile now and the Sox agreed that he wasnt a SS. His range just isnt good enough for that position, he's a good 3B, and should stay there.
  21. Y2, What I wrote down was most of the leg portion of the Legs and Back P90x routine. I agree the plyo is probably one of the toughest leg workouts as well as cardio, however I like the actual individual leg work that the leg routine I put above does for you. It isolates a few more muscles for you. If anyone wants to really good cardio/leg workout, the P90X plyo routine is a killer and frankly, most people are humbled by it at first.
  22. QUOTE (Tex @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:29 PM) For a time there I thought the Sox had two solid guys at 3rd. D'oh Morel is still in the system....
  23. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 02:30 PM) Stop crying like a baby every year then. if ESPN didnt cover it 24/7, you would feel different about him. Your perception is being dictated by the media
  24. QUOTE (Nixon @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 02:56 PM) You better ban yourself for 10 days or no one will ever take you seriously. Ha, funny, and also true. Mods smack alot of people's points and arguments around with zero consequence.
