QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 02:38 PM) The White Sox have drawn at least 4 walks in all but one win this year (the 2-1 game in Cleveland), and at least 5 walks in all but 2 wins this season entering today. Today, we've drawn 3 walks and been hit by 2 pitches (one of each lead to the home run being of the 3 run variety) and lead 4-0 and it's still only the 5th. Home runs and pitching are key, but so is being able to reach base without getting a hit sometimes. good stuff...this has to be our best team at getting on base that i can remember since 2000 (at least it looks as if we will be)

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 03:22 PM) Ozuna needs to have a better AB there. Hawks favorite player is Sam McDowell BTW haha i thought he often says george brett was his favorite player of all time?

How about them Royals
they have given up 33 runs...second fewest in MLB is cardinals at 46 and second fewest in AL is 51 (us and As), but they have also scored the fewest runs in the AL, second only to san diego in all of baseball... greinke meche and bannister is a nice group for them, but they wont keep this up all year, and i dont think they will hit enough to stay above .500 for very long

its clear to me that oakland scouts very well and places great emphasis on pitching to our weakness, because they have thrown nothing but changeups...i wish we would do more of that...maybe then we would start throwing guys like inge offspeed stuff
