QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 13, 2008 -> 01:35 PM) I loved how patient Cabrera was against Moyer. However, why play Thome today? He's been struggling so much, he's struggled in his career against Rogers, and he's played in every game this year. watching the cubs game adn the whtie sox game i suspect -

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 05:33 PM) I generally get Palermos because they are real cheap, and not so bad. On the Pizzazz its pretty good. i had a pizzazz my senior year of college....it was the most invaluable piece of my kitchen...between 3 people, we probably used it 2 or 3 times a day...we put everything on there..toasted our sandwiches, bagel bites, chicken fingers, etc. it was wonderful on the topic of pizzas....digiorno is good...but at like 8 bucks a pizza id just order one. Frescheta is the same way the things that got me through college were these guys.... http://www.pillsbury.com/products/pizza/fr...tinos-Pizza.htm 10 for 10 bucks...10 meals/drunk 3 am snacks for only a dollar each is a helluva deal, and while they werent great, they were pretty darn good

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 13, 2008 -> 11:18 AM) It's the regular lineup today, per Reifert's blog. i really like ozzie's stability that he has shown this far this year...epecially considering that last year we used the same lineup like 4 times only, and had like 90 different lineups or something -

That should be annoying for them. It's silly because I am calling people out and holding them accountable for their comments? Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Gavin will get Cy Young consideration or even get 10 wins this year. What I am saying, is you have to admit the kid does have good stuff and he does have talent. Half of this board didn't think that this year, which completely blew me away as I thought it was blatantly obvious what a great arm the kid has. Getting our friends on SoxTalk to admit they are wrong is like pulling teeth I know, so perhaps we should just blow up this thread? To me it's a good thing when you step forward and admit you're wrong otherwise you're no better than Mariotti who says whatever he wants with no recourse or accountability whatsoever. im not sure that anyone didnt think the kid had good stuff...i think most people acknowledged that he the arm that made him a 1st round pick. What I do believe (and it is my belief that the organizaiton typically goes after these type of pitchers) is that Gavin threw harder while in Philly, but lacked control and command to make him effective. But I think Coop and KW looked at him as a guy who they could get to focus on throwing stirkes, even if it meant throwin 91 instead of 94. Gavin was still pretty inconsistent with his curve yesterday. He threw alot of really good ones, but also he threw alot that nearly took guys heads off. What I am most impressed with, is Floyd's ability to throw multiple pitches that are all at least major league average. Yesterday he threw a good 4 seam fastball that seem to get on hitters pretty quick, also threw a 2 seamer that moved off the plate inside to righties, he flashed that plus curveball at about 76 sometimes, threw a nice little slider at 84 quite a bit, and threw a changeup that was ok, but probably needs a little more work. I really hope he keeps it up, and theres no doubt in my mind that he has the actual stuff to succeed, but hopefully he will be able to retain the command and mental capacity to be a solid major leaguer.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 08:35 PM) Agree with both you. I just don't like Jan. I don't think she brings much to the show and it seems like she will be a big portion of it for the next few episodes, which I disagree with. PAM is the epitome of cute, IMO. Not hot, but the girl you want to bring home to momma. I really like Andy for whatever reason, I know some people think he is a waste on the show, but I love him. JUST LESS JAN PLEASE!!! i love andy, i think hes absolutely hysterical...

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 03:15 PM) That should be good enough!! What PATHETIC managing by Leyland today though, leave Verlander in until he reaches 115 pitches and allows 4 (maybe more) runs. I know they used the bullpen all game last night, but Verlander should have been out after he hit Cabrera in the head. their pen was absolutely depleted...im not gonna blame leyland too much -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 12, 2008 -> 02:45 PM) I can understand it if your doing the radio broadcast to be honest, but this is on TV, the bug is there at the start and end of every half inning saying the runs, hits, and errors for both sides, fans can figure it out pretty fast. yeah because everyone knows saying it really affects the outcome -
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 10, 2008 -> 10:12 PM) I can't figure out what it is, but Pam just seems to have lost a lot of her hotness. i figured it out. she was never that hot to begin with IMO i thought the episode was very average...i dislike how this newest season has placed the show in a new setting in each episode...dwights beet farm, outside running the 5k, at the beach, michael in the wilderness, what actually happened to the office? There was alot of uncomftorablness in the episode (which is very curb like as someone said) but unlike curb, alot of times it was way over the top and too unbelievable (like the thing michael sleeps on). I thought the best part of the episode was either the video camera, or when Dwight showed up and was like, "so can i come in." Certainly i enjoyed it, but i didnt think it was of the quality ive come to expect with the office

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 11, 2008 -> 09:01 PM) Nah we are into lift and pull concourse mode. We are going to hit the 15 run homer every AB and let some medicore pile of dung shut us down by going low and away. Now Thome gets tossed. Hopefully Swisher takes over for Jimmy. did he toss him?
