Supermarket Frozen Pizza

Featured Replies

Blasphemy to some, whatcha got? Tombstone is my go to pizza, I always have one in the freezer. I do not consider it "pizza" in the truest sense of the title, but sometimes, you just got to heat the oven to 425

Its obviously DiGiorno. Id venture to say its not even that close.

Digiorno Ultimate is what I usually have. A little pricey for a frozen pizza ($6 on sale), but much better than the rest.

tombstone is my staple, unless something better is on sale.

Reggio's, home run Inn, and Digiorno are those "better" pizzas

DiGiorno's is excellent but is slighly pricey compared to other ones on the shelf.

For something real quick, cheap, etc., if I'm careful with coupons I can sometimes pull off a Tony's pizza for about $.75.

Home Run Inn, for frozen. No doubt.

But we usually do the DiGiorno thing where we buy the crust, sauce, cheese etc. and make it ourselves, which is WAY better than frozen.

I think there are a few roles for a frozen pizza.

  • Without beer, snack
  • With beer, dinner/lunch etc.
  • After many beers*
*these are the ones that are sometimes found here or after the fire alarm has gone off because you forgot to take it out of the box.

DiGornio etc work for #1 and #2, Tombstone, Tony's, etc takes over for #2 and #3

Haven't bought a frozen pizza in years. I make mine from scratch about 3 times per month. A pizza stone is a must.

Home Run Inn--thank God I don't live near Chicago anymore, because I would eat those every damn day.

Other than that I'm not a fan. I don't even remember the last time I ate pizza. . .

gotta go with tombstone. cheap and effective.

jack's on occasion - but not because it's my favorite. it's cheap as s***.

They sell them in the grocery stores here in Michigan.

Home Run Inn.

For a few years now...my wife and i would shop at Meijers and would buy Mama Rosa's pizzas (2 for $5). 17 minutes in the oven and it's some damn tasty pizza. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Home Run Inn.

Though Red Baron pizza is good when I use my pizza pizzaz thing from college. Best. Invention. Ever. Seen me through some drunken food adventures.

Man I wish I could get my hands on some Home Run Inn in Florida...

I go for the Tombstones now.

I consider DiGiorno to be disgusting, and I don't know anyone that would ever consider that "delivery".

For some odd reason, Marsh brand pizza is amazing, and I also like Tombstone.

Tombstone. Unless I'm craving the crust, then it's usually DiGiorno.

TOMBSTONE

speaking of the devil, I need to find some cardboard with cheese on it right now because I am craving this thing our cafeteria calls "pizza"

One and only one kind of pizza -- JACKS. Typically half sausage, half pepperoni.

I'm sure there are better, but my mom has bought this pizza for years and I've grown accustomed to it.

I forgot about Home Run Inns frozen pizza. I like that a lot too, its a lot better than delivery from there. I also like Freschetta, its similar to DiGiorno.

Tombstone is perfect for me.

I generally get Palermos because they are real cheap, and not so bad. On the Pizzazz its pretty good.

Jewel thin crust, cheaper than tombstone and beats the hell out of it.

If I want to spend more money, Home Run Inn are tops.

I find it gross as well. And extremely overpriced.
