  1. Obvious foul with the body on bosh btw
  2. Not sure why you completely go away from Duncan in the last 10 min
  3. I've seen flagrants called on much more mild fouls
  4. On lebrons 3 - I can understand how he got the second look off...long rebound and a quick release. But how in the world are you giving him an uncontested 1st look off the inbounds, even if he bricked it
  5. the American golfers need to get their act together - Losing the Ryder on home soil, Masters and now US. Hopefully itll turn around. on a related note, golf has so many guys that are compelling to watch. 10-15 years ago, if it wasn't tiger it was boring. but now there are seriously so many guys that are fun to watch
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 9, 2013 -> 12:05 PM) Ok, I'll say it. Odds that's linked to the brain impact he took last year? Almost 100% if he never had seizures prior to the trauma
  7. I'd imagine Q wishes he had stalberg instead of bollig right now. OT has been a lot less physical (understandably so)
  8. Looked like Boston had too many men on that change
  9. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 12, 2013 -> 09:29 PM) This is an excellent hockey game. Agreed - excellent job on the forecheck this period for hawks
  10. Huge turnover. One of the few mistakes they've made. Big to capitalize on it
  11. Hawks not gonna be able to find a lot of open ice out there this period - Boston playing very conservatively so far, chipping it in - d men hanging bavk
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 03:54 PM) I thought that Frosh pitcher Buehler looked like a future first round pick as well. Yep, buehler became the Sunday starter down the stretch and is a highly touted fresh. Like I said, the pitching depth (and depth in general) is crazy
  13. My alma mater Vandy is the #2 national seed (finished #1 in BA rankings) and will face Louisville in the super. I was able to watch probably 60% of their games this year thanks to cbssports college subscription online. Tons of top arms on the staff in Ziomek (probable 2nd rounder) and Beede (former 1st rounder) paired with just nasty fresh/soph combo in the pen of Carson Fullmer/Brian miller. Pitching depth is crazy good too. Back to back top recruiting classes have made us a powerhouse. Lineup is well balanced with just about everyone hitting near .300 with obps in high .300s to .400s. If there's one weakness it's the lack of true top power bats For those who want to watch amongst the most exciting players in the game watch our lead off hitter tony kemp. He's 5'7" but was SEC player of year and hit .400. One of those classic college players who puts pressure on the defense all game.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2013 -> 07:49 PM) Goodness Konerko, stop trying to shoot everything to right field. He just got blown away by mediocre fastballs. Amongst the best FB hitters in his prime, now getting blown away by 91. Not a good prognostic sign
  15. Great value picks from 4-7. Early list for next years position targets: CB, DT, RB, TE
  16. If its not Brown I have no idea who they will take - I feel like the talent just thinned out quite a bit
  17. I have to think the bears go CB or LB next. I still think this team needs another WR (Marshall, jefferey Bennett only real WR. Weems is barely a WR). Also DT is really thin - I think those are two positions to get depth at in the later rounds.
  18. I've lived in 3 major cities (Chicago, Boston and Nashville) and without a doubt Chicago has the worst sportsbars in terms of quality and quantity of the theee
  19. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 25, 2013 -> 10:53 PM) I respect you as a poster on here, but in this case I have to completely disagree with you. Patterson started out at the #3 WR in training camp because the guys ahead of him were both Juniors and projected 1st round picks (Hunter and Rogers). Obviously, Rogers got kicked off the team before the season started and that caused his value to drop a lot. Hunter didn't look quite the same after his ACL tear, but he still had a great chance to go in the 1st. He'll be an early 2nd round pick tomorrow. Kind of hard to hate on the guy because he "started out" at the #3 WR with those other guys on the roster. And as you said, it was his first year at Tennessee so it would be kind of hard for him to immediately be a starting WR before ever having practiced with the team. I just don't see how you pointed that out as a negative. Second, the fact that he played on a bad team shouldn't matter at all. The UT offense was awesome. The defense was historically bad. That's why the team was 5-7. All 11 starters from last year's offense will be in the NFL. And he was the most electric player on that offense. If you watched him play, you'd realize he's incredibly electric with the ball in his hands. He does amazing things. He's a bigger version of Percy Harvin. But you're right: he certainly is raw. As you pointed out, he only played 1 year of D1 football. But give him the ball in space and watch him work. He'll be fine. All valid points to which I agree. When I posted that I was boozed up and looking to bash two teams I dislike (Min and UT). And frankly the bears also took a Juco guy with even less experience than Patterson
