QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 8, 2010 -> 08:13 AM) But it's the regular media that's been spewing the twitter bulls***. good point....its like the reporters striking back by spewing their own BS
-
initially, i thought rick reilly and his cronies were a bunch of turds when they came out against online blogs like deadspin and ripping them for not having any journalistic integrity, poor writing form, and posting sources without confirming them through sources.... however, with the advent of this twitter bulls*** people can just spew whatever "rumor" they hear and the public is taking it as truth, and reilly has a point...its getting ridiculous separating the 99.9% of bulls*** out there from the .1% of truth
-
also don't forget lebron and boozer played on the redeem team together...

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 04:15 PM) Guys. How could LeBron say no to joining our stacked roster? I don't see it happening! Clevelend + mommy banger? New York + Danillo + Amare? Miami + Wade + Bosh? Chicago + Rose + Boozer + Noah? New Jersey + 12 wins? yes for sure. now that the bulls have boozer if lebron goes elsewhere, it will not have been a pure basketball decision ...no doubt that bulls team is easily the best opportunity for him to win a championship (outside miami...but i believe miami would still have to work out a sign and trade for bosh, which may happen anyways, and hten convince lebron to take slightly less)

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:56 PM) Letting Amare Stoudemire sway you is weak. I might have thought differently before his injuries, but not anymore. why? the celtics were the worst team in the league, and added 2 superstars and won a championship....lebron has long wanted to go to new york for financial and marketing reasons, them getting amare provided him more basketball reason to go there i dont think people realize that lebron doesnt need much to win a championship...amare is certainly enough IMO...he had absolutely jack s*** in cleveland and still nearly won one

QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 01:47 PM) Greenwich, CT is where LBJ's decision will be announced is that not where espn is headquartered?
-
@jaredDudley619 Breaking News!!! My sources tell me Lebron will announce that he will be goin to the NY KNICKS tomorrow on ESPN.. This is serious.. WOW!!!!
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 12:36 PM) Unless the Lakers get Chris Paul or Dwight Howard there's nothing they could do. Lebron goes to Miami and it's curtains for the rest of the league. no doubt about it....best way to think about it is if you added bosh to the cavs how much better that team would be....then make moe williams like 3 times better to equal wade...ridiculous

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:42 AM) ?? 2010: 15th, 439 fans away from 9th place. 2009: 15th, 1,000 away from 7th place. 2008: 8th, 99.3% capacity. 2007: 5th, 100.6% capacity 2006: 4th, 101.8% capacity 2005: 4th, 101.4% capacity Heat fans are no worse than average NBA fans now. When I first started watching the Heat in the 90's, the stadium was half full on any given night. Hell, before 2005 the Heat had trouble drawing crowds. But that all changed with the title, surprise, surprise. attendance means s*** in the NBA....all arenas (or at least many) sell out because they are significantly smaller than NFL and MLB stadiums....if you think miami/south fla is a good sports town, you are delusional
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 11:40 AM) The Heat now have two of the top 10 players in basketball on the same team. There's no way to spin that into a negative. They'll fill out the roster and are now the prohibitive favorites in the east. right now they are the top team...tomorrow at 9 there could be a new top team though
-
genuinely sounded like they either 1.) don't know what lebron is doing, or 2.) he isn't going to miami
-
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:40 AM) There's no way in hell LeBron goes to Miami. It's just not going to happen for many reasons. The fact that we haven't heard s*** about the Bulls gives me some hope we may still be in the LeBron sweepstakes. You would think the Bulls would act quickly on Boozer/Lee if the big 3 are all gone. this is the type of stuff that gets dangerous though...you can't overpay for some guys just because you struck out with others...im not saying i wouldnt welcome either lee or boozer with open arms, but max deals for those guys is too much IMO
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:37 AM) If only the Bulls went two picks higher in 2003... its funny....EVERYONE had dwyane wade falling to us in that draft....IIRC the bulls were quite surprised that Miami took him as high as they did
-
as much as i love joakim, if it ever comes out that we didn't get bosh and thus a following big name FA because we wouldn't give the raptors noah, im going to be irate
-
the bulls are going to really have f***ed up this entire offseason.....at the very minimum you better freaking get boozer/lee now...but lets be honest, if LeBron signs elsewhere, the only two decent personnel moves this front office made was drafting Rose over Beasley (which landing #1 was pure luck, but at least they made the right choice), and drafting Noah instead of Spencer Hawes. Everything else has been a disaster with this team they planned for a year and a half for this offseason acquiring expiring contracts and whatnot....when you do that, you hope to become a title contender, not sign carlos boozer and become the trailblazers of the east
-
QUOTE (G&T @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 07:35 AM) LeBron set his time for the announcement last night and he probably already knew what Bosh was doing. His decision is made. Nothing the Bulls can do now to change his mind. Hell, at this point, he would be calling these guys and recruiting for whatever team he is going to. yup...my guess is lebron got wind that bosh wasn't going to cleveland, and decided to bolt and make his mind up independently.....I'm thinking he is going to New York, which is why Bosh went to Miami. Had LeBron gone to chicago I think Bosh would have followed. of course this is 100% pure speculation and likely entirely inaccurate....

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:10 PM) Key words: it's not his arm!!!!!!! the majority of the lat is in the back, but it does run into the upper arm as well....if its strained, theres a good chance of inflammation where the tendon inserts, which is on the humerus adjacent to the biceps and other muscles...so its not completely isolated from his arm, but likely it won't be a long recovery time (at least compared to surgery)....i'll bet he still goes on 15 day DL
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:08 PM) Jake has a strained right lat muscle excellent news
-
QUOTE (aprec32 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:05 PM) looks like the fan who fell might live what happened? i completely missed this
-
its funny....i absolutely hated ozzies approach this offseason, and still blame him for us not getting thome, but by and large, he has done a pretty nice job of the day to day managing of this team this year IMO.... the one exception has been his use of tony pena though if you ask me
