What Happened to Aboz
I am not the most proficient link-clicker, so I'll take your word for it. Suffice to say, whoever caused Aboz to leave is a friggin' deusche. :fyou

Franken-woman
Aren't you a lil too young to be quotin' Shaw? Perfect woman....Different day, different mood.....I guess it would include a crazy mix of Thandie Newton, Jen Connelly, Mandy Moore, Jose Valentin, Michelle Pfeiffer, A-Jo....ah f*** it.

What Happened to Aboz
Is it true Aboz left? What happened?

Are you satisfied with our 3-3 record?
Marte, bless his heart, blew 7 slaves in the 1st half last year alone. Sox reliever blowing games is a time-honored tradition, an institution really. 5 Mill?! For 5 Mill you could get a #2 like Washburn. Who needs him, though? There is no guarantee that would lead to any extra wins.......We got Mike Pornio, the X Factor.

Opening Day for the Cubs
Rooting against the Cubbies is awesome and you have to know how to do it in style. But....They are only 3-4, have a good-to-very-good team AND there is a chance Yeeesus will be back. Also, Astros and Cards aren't exactly playing like a divisional winner should be playing, and both Braves and especially Phillies who could give Cubs competition int he Wild Card are looking pretty damn bad. So....I am still very cautious when it comes to the Flubs. Only meltdown from Zambrano, Clement and Corey Patterson swinging through everything will convince me they are going to mioss postseason. We're in for a LONG season.

Did Anderson get hurt already?
How many all-stars today had that procedure done? Is there long-term risks?

It's not just the Royals. Look at it this way: a split with Yankees means very little if you can't take 26+ games from Tribe and Tigers and 24+ from Twins and Royals. When Sox were rolling in April and June 2000, as soon as a pitcher started to struggle with control, we put a 4-spot on the board before he could blink. Killer instinct, baby.

The Apprentice
Lookeeheah, Kat and the wallet-loser rockin' the saline bags, high-price hooker style Oh yeah and....They absolutely must release a DVD with all of the untelevised interviews (boardroom = highlight of the series) -- especially the Four Trumplings grilling the 4 finalists a week ago, which they only showed an intriguing glimpse of -- I have a feeling the footage would contain some of the greatest moments in TV history that people of all walks of life could learn a lot from.

Did Anderson get hurt already?
That comment about slider batspeed makes me worry. I like my ML players with good batspeed (Ordonez, Lee, Konerko, Valentin). BUT...if I had a choice between Anderson having a good eye/coordination/discipline/confidence/mechanics.....and just being Soriano-quick but being below average in other departments, I'd go with the former. Good batspeed wins you, what, a 1/15th of a second tops compared to an average player, while those other attributes probably twice that.

Satisfied with 3-3. Howeve, if Sox don't show 2000-ian killer instinct and don't take 2 of 3 from the Royals this upcoming series, I'll consider the Bronx performance a fluke.

Ordonez: Sox deal 'close' to happening
I did a little double take when I saw 6/68 -- it's right out of the same book that said Mike Cameron coulda been had for 3 Mill a year. The sad part is, barring a breakthrough season in 2004, Sox can't even pay Maggs 11.5 Mill a year.

Ordonez: Sox deal 'close' to happening
It wasn't Kenny's negotiation ploy?

What the White Sox Need to Do Is.......

Team Salary
You literally missed half the points/arguement I was making. There is no use carrying this on. Oh and Sox finished 4 games behind is very misleading -- they were 2 games AHEAD with 2 weeks left in the season. A swing of just 2 more games (meaning the lead is 4 instead of 2) would have likely made all the difference in the world as it would have made Twins more desperate to win at least 4 of the remaining 5 head to head matches -- I've seen it happen in pennant races all the time.......And it's my contention that the lead wouldn't be just 4 games but more along the lines of 7-8 had the necessary (and cheap, too, so you might as well knock that silly "but Sox are not Yankees" s***) moves been made back in May. You disagree, fine. I am a pessimistic doomsayer, blablablblacakes....How many wins did YOU predict this year, badger?

So who was spreading those 6/68 rumours? Mike Nort?

Opening Day for the Cubs
Pratt = Laloosh with a BP fastball. Incidenally...I've seen Cruz pitch against the Cubs -- he was falling behind every hitter and they STILL counldn't touch him.

Opening Day for the Cubs

2006 it is. Thanks.

Minor League Board
It's all about content. If there are enough people who know what the hell they are talking about when it comes to the minors (Rex Hudler, MnSoxFan, JimH, Cerbaho, etc), then it might be a good idea. Otherwise....Pale Hose board is fine.

Did Anderson get hurt already?
I wonder if Anderson can compete for the ML job out of 2005 ST.
