Tigers @ Sox 7/25/11 Gamethread
I hate "hitters", especially middle of the order hitters, who are looking to take a walk with runners in scoring position. Give me guys like Vlad any day.

Colby Rasmus Trade Rumor
QUOTE (PolishPrince34 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 06:51 PM) The prospect Cardinals are after is Addison Reed. Check it out on their message boards. Jackson, Thorton, and Reed for Rasmus. I'd try not to give up Reed because I think he will be Thorton's replacement if a trade is done. Reed is too valuable. Welcome to Soxtalk!

QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 01:42 PM) i dont see us winning the division with this offense. but this trade isnt happening anyways QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 01:57 PM) Which is the whole reason they are looking to deal him (if the rumors are true. Colby Rasmus Trade Rumor
QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 24, 2011 -> 11:48 AM) JoeStrauss Joe Strauss Key element to Sox talks is what prospect(s) or cost-controlled player would be included from twitter Sounds like the Cards are trying to rape the Sox. Jackson & Thornton PLUS a prospect/cost controlled player for an underperforming/attitude problem Rasmus? I hope not. I'd give them Jackson + Thornton for Rasmus + one of their prospects.

Sox @ Indians 7/23/11 Gamethread
What a bunch of bulls***. They could have gotten half of the game in already. It still hasn't rained yet. They're still waiting for rain because the radar looks bad. This game may be "radared out" at this rate. Same thing happened last night. They delayed the game because the radar looked bad yet it never rained. Either they better calibrate their radar in Cleveland or hire somebody else who knows how to read it more accurately. What a crock.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 09:34 PM) weird that Thor's ERA is lower vs. RH's I wonder if Ozzie is even aware of that.

Sox @ Indians 7/22/11 Gamethread
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 09:26 PM) Dunn's timing looked good all night. Good swings, just matter of him squaring the ball up and remembering he's Adam Dunn and not Mark Teahen. Maybe his sore knee is hindering his power a bit.

Sox @ Indians 7/22/11 Gamethread
Where has Adam's power gone?

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 22, 2011 -> 08:19 PM) Can somebody explain to me what Mark Teahen does well? I mean like one thing. That's all I ask. He doesn't do anything well, but he was never this bad with the bat until he got on the Sox. I wonder why? Sounds familiar for some strange reason.

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 10:14 PM) Quentin only Sox player to homer since the ASB. We need some power in this lineup. Phil Rogers finally suggested the one player I wish we had the players/payroll to add, and that's Aramis Ramirez. No doubt he'd accept a trade here, but you don't do that deal unless you bring him back for 2-3 more seasons. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shouldn't have been pitching to Butler anyway.

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 09:42 PM) Is Dunn available to pinch strikeout for someone tonight? If he's not he should be on the DL.

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 09:42 PM) That was the perfect chance to use Dunn against a pitcher he's had success against. With Alexei as our DH, there's really no other spot where you could use Dunn. I'm sure Ozzie knows that. But does he feel it???

How about a Lexi bomb right here?

7-20: Sox (47-50) vs. Royals (39-58); 7:10; CSN
Now we have to put up with Teahen's defense at 3B.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 09:36 PM) Way to go Sale! f*** it, let Dunn hit for Morel. Maybe he would draw the dreaded leadoff walk at least.
