  1. I agree. Just saying what was reported.
  2. Never said that Tony was a good choice. Just said that I'm glad Hinch isn't
  3. He's appealing it and will serve 1-2 games at the beginning of next year.
  4. Still glad AJ Hinch isnt the manager for the Sox. Condones systemic cheating and throws at guys in meaningless games.
  5. I agree with the second paragraph . Not the first though. You need to walk a long way from Soldier field to find any type of entertainment. So most fans leave for home right after the game or sit and tailgate for a little while for traffic to clear. If there were bars/resteraunts within walking distance as the new site would propose it would increase that tremendously. And the money would go to the team which is what they are looking for.
  6. I disagree. It's all about having an area and stdium that will bring more fans to the game and stay in the area to spend more money. So you are correct that the underlying reason is money. But they care about the fans to come and spend more of it. It's all about the fan experience.
  7. This was Lightfoot's response and her reason why it won't happen.
  8. Yes. Because it will impact the city casino in the works.
  9. The mayor implied that they would make it indoor to use all year long.
  10. That would work. By then I'll be just about retired, gone and sell my tickets anyway.
  11. I agree. Just kind of has an odd ring to it. I'm not sure if the Cubs ever called him that but it was his name with the Sox and that's the "iffy" part. I really don't care about the Cubs part.
  12. Still kind of iffy on that one with the Sosa reference.
  13. True. Lightfoot implied they park district would make it indoor to hold events all year long.
  14. There is no doubt about that. There would need to be revenue involved. It's all about the money and there will be a lot of it if this happens.
  15. No way! The interwebs told me so. ?
  16. Maybe I'll give them to people who live up that way. I currently enjoy them as they are usually better weather.
  17. I looked it up and it says Arlington Heights is in both Lake and Cook. Couldn't find exactly which part the stadium would be in but the municipality is on both.
  18. 10 times. Don't forget the preseason games that we pay regular prices for.
  19. Possible. I hope so as it will make getting to the games a hassle for me. They haven't even bought the land, its just a purchasing agreement.
  20. State and Lake County money may come into play. Pritzker would love to say he saved the Bears and hold it over Lightfoot.
  21. Beat me to it but it sure sounds like the Bears are gone, unless a new mayor comes in with a totally different view.
  22. Did anyone listen to the interview with Lori Lightfoot on the Score? The Bears are definitely moving. Her main points were: 1. It is not her fault the Bears signed the current deal 2 mayors ago. 2. she will maximize the tax payer value for any deal. 3. They will not get gambling as it will get in the way of Chicago casino 4. Soldier field is lucrative without the Bears. 5. She only wants to work with people who want to invest in Chicago as so many businesses are like the Chicago Fire. She continued to say the Bears won't meet with her. I wonder why?
  23. I see Vaughn as a good overall hitter with good power and line drive swing. Sheets is total upper cut HR or strikeout swing. Lots of power, lots of K.
  24. They aren't going to risk Lynn getting a suspension. Maybe Wright or Foster later in the game.
  25. Someone needs to take the innings they don't want to use for the playoff pitchers. Odds are that pitcher will not be very good.
