The long term damage would be if the rotator cuff muscles become damaged as well. They are taking a chance of this every time it dislocates. The looser the shoulder gets the more stress on the tendons. The surgery for the dislocation is easy and straightforward. If the cuff becomes involved it may not be. Since it's the left shoulder the impact is decreased but it could change his swing.

all players have hot streaks, all players have cold streaks. The length of each determines how good the player is.
