Thomas opens his yap again.
I think I deserve Vlad money. I can see myself wearing Yankee pinstripes. It's about the years I want. This is my last chance for a big contract. If they don't, I guess I'll have to become a free agent. Damn NUKE, you must really despise the guy who said all of the above, based on that quote. The Yankee pinstripes remark amazes me. Remember all the flack about Buehrle and his remarks about the Cardinals? Yet, this Yankee statement is much more flagrant than anything MB ever said.

Aaron Rowand
I feel confident that Rowand and Crede will get it going. I still have to be sold on Willie Harris.

Jim-Jim
I agree with the majority on this one. The only thing I like about Jiminez is the fact that he's gone.

Can you imagine how entertaining it would be to read this topic at a Cubs board?

Aaron Miles
I hope your wrong about the Jiminez qualities coming out. Uribe at least appears to have clue as to how to play the game.

What could have been
Speaking of Robin, he was the one who was headed out of town to acquire Bonds. Someone mentioned Clemens. I believe it was Shuler who thought Navarro would supply more bang for the buck than Clemens. Schuler = :dips***

Koch
Koch is one guy I feel had almost no trade value over the winter. A lot of people called for Konerko to be specifically traded for "a bag of used baseballs". I still felt PK had some serious value and the Sox would be foolish to dump him just to purge some payroll. But Koch, with that loss of velocity, was almost untradeable.

The OFFICAL thank cwsox thread
I did support his trade out of town.

Yet another high-profile prospect that got away:

Who's afraid of the big bad Royals?
I'm not disagreeing with you guys. Still, they did earn some respect, even though we swept them. Last year everyone kept saying they'd be out of the race by June, then July, then .... well, you get the idea. Pena kept them in it till September.

O-E-O MAAAAAAGGGGGGLLLLLIIIIOOOOO!!!!
These early season power rankings make about as much sense as a preseason NCAA football or hoops ranking. The make for something to read and talk about, but they don't mean a thing.

FIRST PLACE
I think last years Tigers showed up to play the Jays today. First place feels good.

Carl Everett
Carl Everett hit reasonably well for us and had a good attitude. Unfortunately, he couldn't spread that to the rest of the team. That comment he made to Menkowhatdaf*** of the Twins was entirely justified, imho. However, he was such a defensive liability in CF. He really didn't fit our club because of the fact we couldn't play him in LF or DH. With the way Rowand was coming around, I am inclined to agree that this was a very unneccesary trade.

Who's afraid of the big bad Royals?
At this point in time, I have to disagree with you. Though we beat them 4 out of 5 it wasn't easy. The Royals never rolled over and played dead. They have a solid lineup and apparently they can really thump. They earned my respect the past two weeks. If they are such a poor team, why was it such a struggle for us to beat them?

I've got "Six Pack Abs". Just saying. Though not quite the same thing Basedow is talking about.

For the large group of fans in Left Field....
I'd love to the opportunity to be sitting in the Wrigley bleachers and throw back a Sosa home run ball ... a meaningless, losing 10-1 homer, of course. But considering I've only been to Wrigley once in my life, I doubt I'll ever get the chance.

YES! YES! YES!
Didn't the Mets owner shoot down a Koch deal over the winter due to his salary?
