QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Mar 27, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) I think reading some of the blurbs from reviews set my expectations way too high. I mean I was reading things like GREATEST STORY OF OUR GENERATION, and GREATEST CREATIVE FEAT I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. It's hard for a game to live up to that. It's a good game don't get me wrong. I just wasn't feeling anything like that. Also it's on the short side, it can be beaten in under 12 hours. Yeah, no game can really live up to that. Except maybe the first Super Mario Bros. That being said, Bioshock is a really great game. Only about two hours into it, but I'm really enjoying it.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 27, 2013 -> 10:08 AM) Didnt they stash a kid on the practice squad that did decent in preseason last year? Really big kid, I think he was D2 Matt Blanchard.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 25, 2013 -> 10:03 AM) I've been dreaming about trading for Iginla for two years now. According to capgeek, Hawks have $3,759,872 in cap space. Iginla's number is $7 mil, so if you prorate that for what's left in the season, I assume he would fit? Having someone like Iginla would be nice, but I think the Hawks are fine when it comes to forwards. As long as Hossa and Sharp come back. If they are gonna make a trade for someone, I'd like to see a true second line center. -
I'm sure the Bears will still draft a ILB at some point in the draft. There are now two D.J Williams in the NFC North. It would be nice if D.J Williams tackled D.J Williams.
-
@danpompei 6m Bears have their successor to Brian Urlacher--it's D.J. Williams of Denver. Story coming soon.

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 07:24 PM) They lost their best WR and their best CB and added a WR on the downside of his career. Minnesota isn't a threat. Jennings is only 29. He's probably 2-3 years away from that.
-
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Mar 20, 2013 -> 10:55 AM) Trestman says Urlacher can "play 1st and 2nd down". ouch. He's just being honest. You can't put him out there on passing downs.

I can't wait for Bioshock Infinite. It's only been about three years since they first announced it.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 19, 2013 -> 09:58 AM) That depends, do you want something to campaign with or to play online. I don't play online, so I can't speak to the extent of who's still playing Battlefield 3, but I believe that's a short campaign and mostly online multiplayer deal. The Mass Effect games are all storyline. Battlefield 3 campaign was really short and kinda boring. Now, the online multiplayer is amazing.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 05:56 PM) Fair point, but I was more referring to the average 73 catch 1150 yard season he had from 2008-2011. I think it will drop pretty far from that. You go from Rodgers to Ponder and the Vikings also run the ball 67 times a game. I would think a line of 60-800-5 is more likely. I think about some of the great catches Jennings had in the Super Bowl. Like the one on 3rd and long, Rodgers put it right on his finger tips. Ponder wouldn't even attempt throws like that.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Mar 15, 2013 -> 06:33 PM) Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Vikings are giving Greg Jennings a five-year deal. Saw this coming...If they can hit on their 2 1st rounders they could once again have the edge on the Bears. It's gonna suck to see Jennings in purple. Oh well.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 14, 2013 -> 11:14 PM) As a Bears fan, I'm kinda glad it didn't happen too. He has a lot of mileage, but he still has a very good year or two left in him. Kind of wasted his career in STL. I think Jackson is still a solid player, but I don't think he is worth that much money. The Packers could take a running back in the draft and that player could be just as good or if not better. I'm not big on taking RB in the first round, but I would love to see Eddie Lacy on the Packers.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 14, 2013 -> 03:28 PM) Stephen Jackson signs with ATL. Some talk of him going to the Packers yesterday. Kinda glad that didn't happen. I don't like teams spending money on 30 year running back.

@AdamSchefter: Matt Cassel expected to compete for Vikings starting QB job. Ha.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 14, 2013 -> 10:42 AM) A Jesuit is a member of the Society of Jesus, which is a Catholic religious order founded by Ignatius of Loyola in the 16th Century. They're best known for their work in education. Georgetown, Boston College, Loyola, Marquette, St. Louis, Detroit, Xavier, and Gonzaga (among others) are all Jesuit universities. Got it. Thanks.

What exactly is a Jesuit?

QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Mar 13, 2013 -> 06:58 PM) So, Seattle now signed Cliff Avril. This is nice, but in 2-4 years, how will they be able to keep Sherman, Thomas, Chancellor, Irvin, Tate, Baldwin, Wilson, Browner, Unger, and Okung? They won't be able to keep all those guys. That is the downside of signing big name free agents. Sherman is gonna wanna be the highest paid CB ever.
-
@AdamSchefter Wes Welker has agreed to terms with Denver Broncos.
-
I'm not sure Eifert falls that far. I'd like to see him fall to the Packers.

QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 07:52 PM) According to the site, we were at the cap at the beginning of the day. Look at our player salaries, cap numbers and tell me how you'd make room for both of these hefty new contracts. Now, I hear that we were about 7 under the cap which would make things more manageable -- but then I'm unsure where that website is inaccurate. They can move money around to make room for this year. The real question will be how do they sign Melton, Cutler and Marshall in the next two years.
-
I think the Raiders just released all their players. Except Carson Palmer.
-
@AlbertBreer: Jermon Bushrod deal's in Chicago: $35.965M over five years, $17.715M guaranteed. He better be good for that kinda money.
-
I like the Bennett signing for the Bears, but I don't get the Bushrod signing. He isn't very good.

QUOTE (bmags @ Mar 12, 2013 -> 04:41 PM) You excited about Stephen Jackson, potentially? Not really. If he came on a one year deal for cheap, but I worry about 30 year old running backs.
