I thought Walking Dead was pretty good return episode. A little slow paced, but pretty good.

Why do you think he will be a bust?
-
Usually only one or two inside linebackers go in the first round. So it will be interesting to see where Te'o goes.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 8, 2013 -> 02:12 PM) Okay Te'o is worthy of a first round grade, your right. The Bears should draft Te'o. Its my opinion, I dont think Te'o is very good. Ive watched him play. He is underwhelming athletically like Mike Taylor. He has been extremely successful in college like Mike Taylor. He is not exactly the same as Mike Taylor, no 2 people are ever exactly the same. If you think Te'o is great, good. If you think the Bears should draft him in the first round, great. I dont think so. But we shall see. Why do you think Te'o is so good? You said the Bears could pass on a guy like Te'o and get a guy like Taylor for free, because he probably won't be drafted. That is like saying you could pass on a certain WR in the first round, because there is a certain TE that will be undrafted. They aren't two players who should be compared. Not because of talent lever, but because they play different positions. As far as why I think Te'o could be a good player in the NFL. He has great size for a ILB. I think because of his size he can be a good pass rusher from the middle. He tackles well and has shown he can stop the run. I worry that he might not be great in coverage and has a hard time covering quicker players. I think he should be drafted in the late first round or early second round. I think Ogletree and Minter may be better ILB. I think the Bears should take a punter in the first round. Or long snapper.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 8, 2013 -> 01:44 PM) Im not sure what you are referring to. Mike Taylor Height: 6-2 Weight: 225 Monti Te'o: Height: 6-2 Weight: 255 Ive watched Taylor play every game in Wisconsin, Ive watched Teo 20 times. This isnt about Taylor btw, its about why Te'o isnt worth a first round draft pick. Te'o should be head and shoulders better than a guy who may not even be drafted. Kyle, What does Wisconsin have to do with anything? I just happen to be familiar with Mike Taylor. This is about why Te'o is not a first round draft grade, unless you are giving him the ND hype bump. I just simply believe the Bears would be fools to draft Te'o in the first, when you could conceivably get a guy LIKE Mike Taylor, for free. There are just so many good lbs, it makes no sense to overdraft a bad one like Te'o. 225 and 255. Te'o is 30 pounds heavier. That is a lot. They play different positions.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 8, 2013 -> 10:59 AM) How are they totally different players? http://www.cfbstats.com/2012/player/796/1019456/index.html Taylor 123 tackles, 3 sacks. TFL 15, 4 passes broken up Te'O 113 tackles, 1.5 sacks. TFL 5.5, 7 int, 4 passes broken up Now granted Te'O had 7 ints this year to Taylor's 0. But over their career Taylor has had 5 and Te'o 7. I see both of them as underwhelming athletes who have had great production at the college level. If Taylor doesnt get drafted, it would show how insane it is to draft Te'o in the 1st or 2nd. Taylor was 1st team Big10, but there are just so many ultra talented lbs. Te'O is hype. I'm not talking about numbers. Numbers in college can be deceiving. I'm talking about size and the position they play. Mike Taylor is a smaller, quicker OLB in a 4-3 defense. T'eo is a bigger inside linebacker in a 3-4.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Feb 7, 2013 -> 07:57 PM) And even then I wouldnt take Teo in the first round. My guess is he does not run fast 40. Right now draft scout has his time between 4.65 and 4.85 If he is near higher end he may not even be a 2nd round pick. All things being considered Id rather have Mike Taylor from Wisconsin, who will run a very similar 40 time, who was one of the top Big10 lbs and who you wont have to pay a stupid premium for because he wasnt a Heisman finalist. Mike Taylor and Te'o are totally different players. I don't even think Taylor will be drafted.

Plus he is only 23 years old. The Lighting have scored 39 goals already this year. -
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 5, 2013 -> 09:06 AM) As of right now, I think they are looking at trying to acquire a veteran QB (Smith, Vick) and take either Joeckel (if Brandon Albert leaves) or Loutelelei and then take a QB in the 2nd Yeah, I think that would probably be the smartest thing. I don't any QB in this draft is worth a top 5 draft pick. Joeckel would be a smart pick.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Feb 5, 2013 -> 07:30 AM) WIth the new NFL year upon us, my Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock! Really excited for workouts and the combine coming up. I think I'm gonna try and make it down to Radio City this year if I can. Also, read that the Chiefs are going to bring Hussain Abdullah for a workout. He's a solid vet who inexplicably retired last year (I think it was for religious reasons?) who KC has first shot at since they have top waiver priority. Who do you think the Chiefs will take with the #1 spot?
-
Lions waived Titus Young. Too bad, he seems like a really nice guy.....
-
Also that throw from Kaepernick was awful. He puts that ball in the endzone and not out of bounds they probably would have called the hold. Kaepernick was 0-4 throwing ball in the end zone yesterday and 1-8 in the playoffs.

I bet the Ravens wish they had given Joe Flacco a contract extension last year.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 08:50 AM) Yay, football talk! Perhaps what interests me the most about the 49ers this offseason is what they do about their backup QB Spot. It's obvious they're going to let Alex Smith go for money, but that leaves them with only Kaep as a QB...and he hasn't been put through the full season as a "Running QB". I could actually see the Seahawks taking a step back next year. They got big time performances out of some guys who had "Supplements", they definitely caught some teams by surprise with Wilson, they had the weakest schedule in that division, and they got some help from the replacement refs. One thing I forgot about with the Seahawks is Chris Clemons tearing his ACL late in the year. Really underrated player and I'm sure will miss some time next year.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2013 -> 08:41 AM) Why's that? We can be impressed at what the Ravens did to slow down Kaepernick on the running game, but he's still a QB in his 10th start. A full offseason as the assumed starter could make him even more effective out of the passing game. Their defensive front is young and very talented, and I don't believe they're going to be losing many of those guys for cap reasons any time soon. Their skill positions aren't filled with elders. Moss and Gore are up there in years, but they have another RB on the roster already, and Moss isn't their main threat. Their O-line has 1 person over 30. And to top that off, they're loaded with draft picks this year. I was just making a joke. Someone on here said the Packers wouldn't win the NFC North for three years. All kidding aside, I think things will be a lot more difficult for the 49ers next year. A much improved Seahawks team. I also think the Rams will be better and the 49ers already struggle with them. Also, the 49ers have had pretty much no injures now two years in a row. That probably won't continue. I still think they will be a playoff team next year.

I don't see the 49ers winning the NFC West for at least 3 years.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 1, 2013 -> 04:24 PM) i will let ptatc answer this for us. Definitely an interesting question. I dont want the answer to be "Yes" because then everyone is gonna look at Rose the same way Rose is coming back from a torn ACL on a pretty normal schedule. 8-12 months, I think. Imagine if was playing already and averaging 28 points a game.

QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 04:26 PM) There are plenty of people that don't like the Bears either... As the reason why I am online while in New Orleans, my dad is in 60's and can't walk all day, so we hangout in the room, so he can get his rest.. Did you get to meet anyone cool while down there?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 12:42 PM) The Browns are playing the 49'ers in the super bowl, so it cant be that bad. Now being a Browns 2 the sequel fan, yeah cant help you there. Ugh. Think about that. The team that used to be in your city is going to their second Super Bowl since they left.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 12:36 PM) Exactly. Packer fans are so spoiled. I'd take a baby Favre over a baby Rodgers anyday. Packer fans are spoiled. You should see some of the dumb s*** they said after the lost to the 49ers. Trying being a Browns fan.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 31, 2013 -> 12:25 PM) Do those teams have "f*** it I'll throw 5 interceptions this game" Cutler? (it was mostly a joke, but I do think playing in what ended up being a pretty bad "central" helped those numbers) The North had two playoff teams and a third team that just missed. There are a lot worse divisions than the NFC North. John Skelton plays in the NFL. I would rather face him than Cutler.
