  1. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Oct 24, 2011 -> 09:06 AM) That's what the NTC minister who said he would not be turned over to us said. But I'm not convinced. After all, he was supposed to have died back in 2009. That was the stupid logic behind releasing him in the first place and it turned out to be a lie. Yet here he is, still breathing, and only a few months ago he was spotted at a Gaddafi rally. And even if he is comatose, so what? 270 innocent people were murdered twenty years ago. I hope brain cancer hurts like Hell for that turd. It still won't be as bad as what he gave his victims. I don't see why we give compassionate release to anyone, much less to mass murdering terrorists. There's no reason al-Megrahi should not die in a dank, Western prison cell. None whatsoever. I'm sure you feel the same way about someone like Luis Posada Carriles.
  2. The Vikings can't win football games, so they have to kick people in the nuts.
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 23, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) He's better than Favre. He has everything Favre had, but minus the stupid turnovers. He didn't have one bad pass today.
  4. Veteran C Olin Kreutz is walking away from the Saints because "he no longer feels passion and doesn't want to just collect paycheck," according to his agent.
  5. I actually don't blame the Broncos for benching Orton. It's not like they are going anywhere. Might as well get the Tebow mess out of the way. Maybe Tebow will be awful and they will get the 1st overall draft pick.
  6. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 18, 2011 -> 04:09 PM) So the Raiders traded the rest of their 2012 draft before they even saw what they had in Pryor? He is going to need about 3 years before he can run an NFL offense. Even them i'm not that sure.
  7. According to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora, coach Leslie Frazier has notified Christian Ponder that he'll be starting over Donovan McNabb this week. I think it's time for McNabb to call it a career.
  8. You can compare someone like Aaron Rodgers to Steve Young. Right now you can compare Tebow to Vince Young or someone like that.
  9. If Carson Palmer can get 2 first round picks. I wonder what Aaron Rodgers would bring back in a trade.
  10. Aj Hawk flipped off his own teammates yesterday. Lot's of weird stuff going on yesterday.
  11. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 12, 2011 -> 08:34 AM) Why can't you? It's funny. But it's also a nonsense discussion/argument, and always has been. You could easily draw up a map like that for any country out there...as every country has more than it's fair share of uneducated people and/or people that don't care that know nothing about the rest of the world aside from what they heard on TV or third hand over the years (since some don't have tv's). The rest of the world just tends to keep people like that off their TV cameras/radio waves, whereas we tend to find them amusing so we put them on the air. They actually have a whole bunch of these from the viewpoint of different European countries. They are also funny.
  12. I think we should just listen to John Bolton on this.
  13. Packers have only drafted 8 players since 2007 that aren't in the NFL currently. Only three of those players are from beofre the 3rd round.
  14. Can't believe i'm saying this, but it would be nice for the Bears to take down the Lions tonight. To help the Packers. From the Lions. Never thought i'd say that.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 04:50 PM) What if he boned Kenny's wife back in the 90s? Right.
  16. What if no one hires Dave Martinez. What if he shows up to all the interviews drunk. We don't know.
  17. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 04:34 PM) Whoa. Last year I was saying he'd probably start a coaching career on the South Side at some point, he said he wanted to do that after his kids finished high school. But I was NOT expecting he'd vault straight to manager. The good... he's considered by a lot of people to be very baseball-smart, has leadership qualities, and played the game right. And he knows how the organization works, which is a benefit here. The bad... zero managing experience, as far as I know. That's a little scary. But... Ozzie hadn't managed either, he was a damn base coach before he started. Some folks mentioned handling pitchers... Ozzie didn't know a damn thing about that either, but he ended up being reasonably good at it his first few years, because he leaned heavily on Cooper for input. Ventura is likely to do the same. This is just your guess, right? Has it been reported somewhere? I bet Ventura is even more willing to listen to Coop than Ozzie. I'm just guessing, but he seems more open.
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 04:27 PM) Dude, this statement is completely inaccurate. Maybe Sandy Alomar would have been ok to some, but people were still gonna freak.
  19. He did finish his career with a .362 obp. So....
  20. If we signed anybody but Dave Martinez, people were going freak out.
  21. Michigan got rid of the death penalty in 1846.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 6, 2011 -> 09:13 AM) I'm not suggesting that RoDgers was a s***ty option. But given what Favre did the prior season, how could you say that RoDgers was going to be the better QB that year? The Packers had a good idea that Rodgers was ready to play and ready to be great. There's always been the rumor that during the NFC championship game vs. The Giants that Mike Mccarthy was ready to bench Favre at half time and put in Rodgers. I think the risk would have been too great if Rodgers had failed. The Packers did bend over for Favre. For many years, the whole Mike Sherman era was like that. They just stopped doing it once they knew what they had in Rodgers. He had retired before and they always begged him to come back. Once they knew Rodgers was ready, they just stop begging and let him retire. Being a Packer fan and watching Favre and Rodgers. Rodgers could very well be passing up Favre as a QB. He makes all the plays and none of the "gunslinger" mistakes. I bet that makes Favre a little nervous.
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 4, 2011 -> 04:53 PM) Orange huh? Or red. Whatever.
