QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 08:45 PM) RNC to hold a fundraiser at a Xe facility. Who doesn't want their own private army. This is a really bad idea.- Catch All Anything Thread
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 09:24 AM) Woohoo! Sox will be in Tampa over Memorial Day weekend when I'm visiting family. Get to cross off another road stadium off my list...s*** hole that it is. I've only been to the two Chicago Ballparks. I feel dumb about that. I would love to go to some other places.- Films Thread
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Mar 25, 2010 -> 09:00 AM) Ah, you just reminded me of that movie. I read good reviews on Bloody-Disgusting, in my opinion the most trusted site for horror reviews. I'm driving up to Blockbuster later to rent it. Yeah Bloody-disgusting has good reviews. Shocktillyoudrop does some good reviews too, just not as many as bloody-disgusting.- Films Thread
I watched The House of the Devil. 2009 horror film that is filmed to look like it was made in the late 70's / ealry 80's. Its really amazing how much it feels like something that came out 25 years ago. It's a really good movie that uses suspense and tension to scare you.- The Democrat Thread
I came here to argue the importance of what we eat and how it effects everyone, but now i'm just hungry.- The Republican Thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 01:57 PM) No, it's not, it's similar to England's. Sad thing is, Wikipedia is down, so I had to take whatever source I could get. Sigh. I was gonna look it up on Wikipedia too. Wikipedia has become an addiction of sorts.- The Republican Thread
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 01:51 PM) Totally agree. I don't think the students did anything wrong. Sounds like they were somewhat reasonable (no arrests). But clearly the school didn't want to/failed to provide proper measures given the heated atmosphere they created. Also I'm not real up to date on Canada's free speach laws. I'm guessing they are similar to the States, but i'm not sure.- The Republican Thread
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 01:45 PM) So someone who funds terrorist organizations and is deemd a national security threat (real or not) is somehow equal to a person who, at best, makes bad jokes and is pretty insensitive to groups she doesn't like? I thought liberals were all about freedom of ideas/expression? I guess just ideas that they agree with? I think Coulter had a right to speak there, but people have a right to protest her too.- The Republican Thread
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 24, 2010 -> 09:38 AM) I read this morning that Ann Coulter's appearance at the University of Ottawa had to be shut down for security reasons. I'm not really a fan of talking heads like her, but I do find it pretty funny that there's not more of an uproar about this type of thing. Imagine if Michael Moore was in the same situation. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/articl...Y-kQnAD9EKVOKG1 And it's Canada, I know, and they have their own version of freedom of speech, but it's pretty ironic that a protest got so out of hand over a woman speaking her mind about...yep, free speech (or lack thereof). I don't remember Moore ever telling a 17 year old muslim student to go ride a camel. Or talking about how Jews need to be perfected.- ACORN Disbanding
