  1. I think the officials did a poor job with explaining why they picked it up. Also Dez Bryant running on the field and yelling at the official should have been a penalty. That dude is annoying. He runs around screaming and yelling when they win, but when they lose he leaves the field early.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 2, 2015 -> 02:36 PM) Not a bad bloodline. Only 32 years old and already with the team for 11 years.
  3. @packers: #Packers promote Eliot Wolf to director of player personnel. Some teams were sniffing around Wolf. He might be a little too young to be a GM now, but he could be the Packers future GM. This pretty much makes him Ted Thompsons right hand man.
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 10:26 AM) He did, he hired Trestman I didn't say he was a good GM.
  5. I think Emery did that way too much when he was GM. Asking other people's opinion. Having Marinelli rank the coaching candidates. Asking Cutler his opinion on who they should hire, hell they even had Jay interview with some of them. He was the GM, he should of told them what's up.
  6. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 09:57 AM) and one of the most successful coordinators with a long history of being successful at building defenses. He is right there with Dick LaBeau. Seems to me if that account is correct Marainelli was more attuned to the situation than the Bears organization was as he looks like a genius right now for stepping down and then getting promoted and turning that defense around. That list of GM candidates is not really all that inspiring. This process seems to be going down the same road as the previous. Hire an inexperienced guy and hope he is qualified. Right there with Dick LeBeau? No. It's not even close. Rod Marinelli is a good D-line coach, but that is about it. Definitely not some who you ask to rank possible head coaches. Article also says he went on to have great success with Dallas. Cowboys are ranked 28th in sacks this year and are in the bottom half of the league in run defense. He's done a nice job there, but it's not like he has them crushing offenses.
  7. @RapSheet: #Jets are expected to make a significant push for #Ravens assistant GM Eric DeCosta, per source. I don't know why the Bears aren't checking on him or maybe they are.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 09:08 AM) http://deadspin.com/the-bears-probably-wan...tman-1676354356 Oh. this is nice I get that they passed on some good coaches and took the really bad one, but who is Rod Marinelli that he gets to rate the coaching prospects. He was one of the worst head coaches in the history of the league. 0-16.
  9. @AdamSchefter Ndamukong Suh is being suspended for Sunday's game against Dallas, per @mortreport. When he appeals, hearing officer will be Ted Cottrell. Hope Suh enjoyed that stomp. Probably ended his team in the playoffs. Might of played his last game with the Lions as well.
  10. I like Mora from UCLA. None of these potential coaches really seem that great. Weak group this year. Probably why Rex Ryan is in high demand.
  11. QUOTE (scs787 @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 11:23 AM) But he's also a good football coach. One who will have the offense run the ball more, which is what everyone wants right? The fact that Jay had some good year under him is just an added bonus to me, and one that I really see no problem with. He was a good coach. That was a long time ago.
  12. ‏@JasonLaCanfora Look for Jack Del Rio to emerge in OAK, ATL to contact Rex, SF to approach Jim Mora several teams request Adam Gase. M. Shanahan wants Chi
  13. Chiefs are first team since 1964 to not have a WR catch a TD pass. Seems unreal in this modern football league.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 09:13 AM) Long is already a two time pro bowler. It was thought as an overdraft when it happened, most analysts have backtracked on that and admitted that it was a very good pick He's been a good player. I like that pick, but him making the pro bowl twice has been a joke.
  15. @RapSheet #Bills QB Kyle Orton tells the team he will retire. It appears, this time he means it.
  16. @ProFootballTalk League source says word is tricking out of Chicago that G.M. Phil Emery has gotten the axe.
  17. Just so everyone knows, I died last night when Rodgers went down.
  18. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 11:30 AM) That's not what that article says, unless that article is wrong/outdated. It says in that article a couple of times that Dallas would need Detroit and Green Bay to tie.
  19. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 01:34 AM) I found this article and it showed me my rooting interests for the weekend. http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2014/12/21/...first-round-bye Dallas can be no worse than the #3 seed, and can become the #2 seed with a win Sunday, and losses by Seattle (who play the Rams), and Cardinals (who play the 49ers). Rams won the last time they played Seattle, Cardinals won the last time they played San Fran. Dallas would also need Green Bay and Detroit to tie to get the 2nd seed.
  20. I hope they don't suspend him, Mike Daniels is going to beat his ass next Sunday.
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 21, 2014 -> 11:25 PM) GoSox05 said it last week, but that Bills loss is gonna really come back to haunt the Packers. Or the loss in NOLA to a Saints team that lost their next 5 in a row at home. I'm starting to think it doesn't matter if they are at home or on the road. Seattle looks tough to beat.
  22. I love Mike Holmgren as a coach. I wish he was still coaching in the NFL. He really has done nothing as a upper management guy. I think it's been his downfall always trying to be the guy in charge instead of just being the coach.
  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 18, 2014 -> 04:32 PM) CANT WAIT You can keep Brady vs. Rodgers. Romo vs Luck. I'll take Whitehurst vs. Bortles any day of the week!
