US to start full diplomatic talks with Cuba, open embassy
This is long overdue. To help further relations, we should also send Luis Posada Carriles to Cuba. So he can be put on trial for terrorism.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 09:20 AM) Thats because you are cheering for McKenzie Yes, and I hope they give him more time. His last draft was what I expected him to do. I think it took him a while to clean things up before he could start rebuilding.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 16, 2014 -> 07:27 PM) Let's be real here, would you work under this doofus knowing full well how dysfunctional that organization is? And yes, I know the Bears are currently dysfunctional, but JESUS LOOK AT THAT MANS HAIR The Raiders are dysfunctional, but I don't think they are that far off from being a good team. I think their last draft has the chance to be a great one.

I didn't know if I should include movies that were first in the franchise. If you include those the 80's and 10's are the same amount. Lion King is part of a franchise. Others just didn't do as well. 11 movies over the past 3 and half decades not part of franchise or sequel. That will also drop because Avatar, Independence Day and Frozen are getting sequels.

I wonder if the Bears look at someone like Darrell Bevell for next head coach.

Franchises and sequels have always dominated the summer blockbuster market. At least over the last 30 years. 5 of the top 10 highest grossing movies in the 80's were either sequels or movies part of a franchise. If I didn't like Comic book movies I wouldn't go see them. There are hundreds of movies that come out every year. 3 to 5 are based on comics. I don't like Pixar movies, so I don't go see them. No big deal.

Buffalo needs to figure out the QB spot soon. They are going waste a great defense if not. Cause they aren't going anywhere without a QB.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 08:37 AM) You guys are gonna be the world's biggest Cardinals fans on Sunday night. They play great at home, but given the dire QB situation they are still 7.5 point underdogs. I just don't know how the Cardinals are going to win another game with Ryan Lindley at QB. It has to suck to get this far and have all of your QB get hurt.

That Buffalo defense is no joke. I knew they have a good front five, but that secondary played great yesterday. Packers really blew it and now may have to go into Seattle. They made a ton of mistakes, but a horrible game plan by McCarthy. They threw the ball 45 times on a day when Lacy was averaging over 6.5 yards per carry. Dumb.

Bears need to clean house, but because of the money involved in doing so, it will probably take them more than one year to do so. Bad situation. Plenty of room on the Aaron Rodgers express. Come on over Bear fans, we welcome you!

Jennings took a line drive off the head last year. Looked really painful.

Sox acquire Jeff Samardzija and Michael Ynoa
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 04:02 PM) That's 30 million a year. He's not getting close to that. He has another sub 3.00 era season and he will get close.

Sox acquire Jeff Samardzija and Michael Ynoa
Sure the Sox can sign Samardzija before he hits free agency, but are they willing to go 5 years - 150 million plus for him. He may give them a little home town discount, but it won't be much.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 08:56 AM) Police were busy at Lambeau last night It always amazes me when people spend good money for tickets, then get so drunk they can't function and won't remember anything But the most important takeaway from this article? Self-service beer vending machines. How awesome is that. Considering those tickets were probably over 100 bucks. You could just sit in someones basement and get wasted for free. It seems like every NFL game these is a crazy amount of drunks and huge brawls. I don't think I would bring a kid to one of these games.

QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 9, 2014 -> 07:40 AM) Rodgers > Favre and it's really not close for me. It's pretty close. People will always point to the fact that Rodgers doesn't turn the ball over as much. Which is true, but Favre played in a time when cornerbacks were actually allowed to play defense.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 6, 2014 -> 01:41 PM) So being the n00b I am, I started the Vault of Glass strike and figured it would go through the typical strike protocol where it finds guardians and yada yada and it did not. So, anyone interested in organizing a Soxtalk Vault of Glass strike? This is a good site find other people to do the raid with or Nightfall and other things. I used it a couple times to find people and it worked pretty well. Destinylfg

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 5, 2014 -> 10:03 AM) I disagree with much of this. It's too early to make sweeping generalizations about recent drafts. It's also lazy scouting. The Bears are in this position because of years and years of bad drafting by Jerry Angelo. The only way to get out of the mess is by years and years of good drafting by Phil Emery or whoever else. Just the way it is. Too early to make sweeping generalizations about recent drafts? You just called Fuller a cornerstone player after playing in less than one season.

I get the Bears defense being bad, there isn't much talent on that side of the ball. I just don't understand how that offense isn't good, not saying they should be great. I think Bear fans over hyped them last year, but they should be ranked higher than 19th in the league in points per game. Should be closer to top 10.
