  1. Man alive....Uggla and Cabrera both whiff on 3 pitches. Where has this been all year Masset?
  2. Wow, 2 nasty hooks and he gets a very good hitter in Uggla on 3 pitches.
  3. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 10:05 PM) Thats the first time I have seen a catcher pick off 2 players on 2 different bases. I couldn't even tell you the last time I saw a catcher pick off 2 different guys in the same game, let alone inning.
  4. Man Fields gets rid of it in a hurry with and accuracy on those 5-4-3 double plays.
  5. Damn that was like a game of duck, duck, goose or something. Both rookies victims of Olivo's cannon. Now we should win this, but I can't tell you the last time I saw 2 guys get picked off by the catcher in the same game, let alone inning.
  6. btw, Owens walk to lead off the game was the first of his career in his 56th MLB at bat. Pinto has the kind of mechanics that would fit perfectly in our pen, awful, out of control, and condusive for a lot of walks.
  7. QUOTE(premo @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:57 PM) Why was he bunting with men on first and second, no outs, and we're up by 4? Because Ozzie has the false preminition that everybody should be able to bunt, when in reality that's not how baseball works since it's not 1982 anymore.
  8. Fields is not a bunter, Ozzie. Stupid. It's just our night when Juan gets a hit.
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:43 PM) He stole Scott Podsednik's arm and plate approach. Fixed. Well that was quick and easy Bukvich. I almost hope in a sick way we give up a run in the 8th so Bobby starts the 9th for sure.
  10. Ahh and the good luck runs out. Hold thy breath for 4 outs.
  11. You want to talk about a lucky deflection......it seems like every bit of luck we haven't had all year has turned for 1 night.
  12. Terrible decision by Owens, and the fact our DP combo turns it about as slow as any in the game hurts a bit more now.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:27 PM) When there's been an injury to a player during a game over the last few months, it did take a good hour for there to be any word. Hawk was in the locker room giving Erstad a massage within half an hour of that injury. Great, Yahoo says he has a strained right quad. Wonderful.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:21 PM) Many on here know in what town I get all this information, and that's where I was the last few days. Every person thinks Buehrle will be traded within the next 2 weeks to an east coast team (mets/braves) Nah I was moreso getting on you for seeming to forget KW is just as at fault as Ozzie is for this year, that's all. I believe you got your sources . And yeah, Buehrle being traded is inevitable, the only question now is does KW actually do well in what we get for him.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:19 PM) Nothing on Dye yet. It's very suspecious to say the least. THAT is the Olivo we know and love. DO NOT THROW IT UP AND IN TO BOONE!
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:16 PM) It was funny being around a lot of major league scouts this past weekend....let's just say they think Ozzie is doing a superb job. I would bet that, assuming your actually telling the truth about being around these scouts, they think Kenny is doing an even more superb job.
  17. This is turning into a titanic struggle between 2 atrocious squads.
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jun 18, 2007 -> 09:10 PM) so what is the best case scenario for our team these days? Fields does well Sweeney is called up and does well Any young pitchers we might call up do well Receive max value for Dye and Buehrle Maybe get something for somebody else
