Pods with ANOTHER big RBI single, this time with 2 outs. WTF is wroing with him?!? Awesome stuff.
-
Thatta boy Brian!! Double.

The Reds manager actually was ejected from a game even faster than that by a 1B umpire earlier this year. He ran out, said 1 word, and was tossed. It took maybe 1.8 seconds, it was amazing.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 11:01 PM) BA, swing first pitch and you'll be rewarded. .........with a foul ball.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:59 PM) So did Oz get thrown out? Does that mean we'll see logical bullpen management tonight? Yes, Oz was thrown out. And if there is a phone from the clubhouse to the dugout, I'd say no, the bullpen management will indeed still suck.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:56 PM) My favorite Eric Cooper blunder was the home run that Joe Crede hit in Baltimore, up about 10 rows, over about 30 feet. Cooper called it foul. Manuel came out, didnt get tossed, and the whitesox wound up losing that by a run or 2. Oh God I remember that game. That's probably the worst call I've ever seen in a baseball game, that homer would have gave us the lead and we ended up losing by 1. Man was I pissed.

Well Ozzie, he may not be bleeping Cy Young, but he did a great job there. I am just about convinced that Ozzie is a moron.
-
Like I said.... B-MAC TO THE RESCUE!!! We get out if it, again....amazing lol. HE GONE!!!
-
Actually that looks like it might have been the right call. And Ozzie is outta here, and the crowd loves it. lol.
-
Pops him up!!! 2 outs NOW TO FIRST, THAT WAS CLOSE??? WTF!??!

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:49 PM) And right in time for a terrible situation. Cotts should be in mop-up duty only now...and that's been obvious for two weeks. Agreed. But watch, if Neal has the Marte luck, B-Mac rolls A-Rod over and we got out of this, and Cotts is credited with 0.1 IP and 0 runs allowed, thus bringing his ERA down a tick.
-
B-MAC TO THE RESCUE, HOORAY B-MAC!!!
-
At least we made them hit the ball, I guess. 1st and 3rd 1 out for A-Rod. I'm just shocked Neal gave up a hit to a lefty.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) Cotts with one of the most deceptive ERAs I've seen in a long time. Eerily similar to Marte last year in the "deceptive ERA out of the pen" category.
-
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:45 PM) Sexiest man in the pen, hands down. Look at that stache. So does Nelson go to any of the games? Or does he just sit at home? Him and Boone Logan watch the games with Jose Contreras cousin in Cuba IIRC. They ride via horseback to a shack with a tv and satellite dish to watch it under the cover of night.
-
Walk....here's Abreu. If he doesn't walk, I'd be a miracle.
-
I wish we still had Jeff Nelson at times like these.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:42 PM) 1st pitch fastball, 2nd pitch fastball, 3rd pitch fastball But he has that deceptive delivery. OMG HE GOT A LEFTY OUT!!!!

QUOTE(Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:39 PM) That's right. It's nights like tonight that make Javier possible. Hahaha I was thinking the same thing. Attendance like tonight's make it possible for us to make a trade, and have Javy in the rotation and Anderson in CF instead of Young in CF and B Mac in the rotation. Or Young in LF, Anderson in CF, and B Mac in the rotation. Or something. And of course, if not for that deal, we'd still have jizzcan .

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) I loooooove sellouts. Indeed. Sellouts=attendance=payroll increase HOORAY PAYROLL INCREASE!!!
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) It really is a carbon copy of the Indians start you mentioned. I went to a game against Texas on a Saturday night earlier this year that was exactly like these 2 starts, only he gave up 5 runs I believe. We ended up having an 8 run inning though in the 3rd or 4th or something and won it 8-6 for him.
-
Javy: 111 pitches, 5 IP, 6 hits, 2 runs, 6 walks, 8 k's. Greg Maddux-like efficiency tonight.
-
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:32 PM) He has been hitting the ball well ever since being re-called up. Next season if they call up both their top hitting prospects and if Sweeney ever stays healthy they can be a pretty tough lineup. Gordon I think is the type of talent that contributes right away and the other guy cant remember his name sucks on defense but rocks with the bat. Not sure what they will do with Teahen when Gordon is ready.
-
HOORAY!! It's an official game. Now hopefully, some bizarre mystery storm pops up and they have to call the game a win for us before the Yankees can bat. And LOL at Hawk "we're halfway home already!"

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 10:31 PM) LOL I love DJ. Oh man I know, I wish everybody understood his greatness.
