Villanova better keep scoring, because they can't seem to slow down Arizona. -

QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 05:48 PM) no big ten team even make it to the sweet 16...f***ing pathetic Not all that surprising though. This year's Big 10 was quite a fraud, amazing they were #1 in RPI all year. Sad but true. -

My Minneapolis bracket is still perfect except that damned Montana/Nevada game. G-Town winning is nice though, Ohio State has been out of gas for a few weeks now and it really showed up today. -

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 05:13 PM) I didn't think any Big Ten teams would get past the Sweet 16 a month or so ago, maybe none will get into the Sweet 16. Agreed on both counts. And a lot of people thought we were crazy for saying that a month ago. -

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 04:56 PM) Alright, I just think you are wasting energy on this, but do as you please. For the record, my brackets are f***ed cause I had ILL in the Final Four. And my bracket had Illinois losing to UConn next round, so them losing to Washington made minimal difference. -

This Vilanova/Arizona game is reminding me a lot of Illinois/Arizona last year. Arizona the WAY bigger team, playing a road game against a #1 seed, playing a VERY close and fast paced game in the 1st half. Be interesting to see what happens as this game goes on. -

In what could be the ULTIMATE of ironies, George Mason and Wichita State met a month ago yesterday in one of the "ESPN Bracketbuster" games, a game George Mason won 70-67 at Wichita State on a last second three pointer by Tony Skinn. If George Mason loses that game, there is a real chance they don't even get into the dance. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/boxscore?gid=200602180648 -

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 04:37 PM) When do you think you'll give it up? Just wondering. I mean at some point I hope you come to terms that the game is over and there is nothing you can accomplish by arguing over this. They are not going to go back and change anything that happened so my advice would be to just enjoy the rest of the dance and chill out. When will I give it up? Tomorrow morning, when the sweet 16 is set and it's time to root for the underdog and prepare for the next set of games. Would Illinois have defeated UConn? Hell no, but the fact the refs are the reason we aren't getting a chance isn't very fair. -

Nice half for Georgetown. This would be a big one for my bracket if they hold on, keep it up boys. Arizona's size is giving Villanova a lot of problems early on. -

I'm sure glad the refs got this call right and called the foul on Arnold. It's not like that would make a difference in a game that is decided by 1 possesion. -
Well NW State ran out of gas, but them pulling within 8 and having a shot to pull within 5 with about 3:30 left miss at least shows i'm not QUITE as dumb as I looked earlier .

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 03:53 PM) Everybody thought this weekend would be a cake-walk as well. Hence I said they will f*** around and win the next 2. The best opponent they will face in their bracket was the team they beat today. The games against Washington and GM/Wich St. will be close, but as usual UConn will do just enough to win. -

UConn will f*** around and win their next 2. They get Washington and then either George Mason or Wichita State to get to Indy. About as easy a road as you can get the 2nd weekend. -
Under 4 minute TV timeout....NW State down 8.

Williams fouled again, 15.5 left. 1st is good, 2nd is good. Jeez, here comes UK. Perry with the putback again. 3.3 left, UConn at the line. UK with no timeouts left. 85-83 UConn.....Gay at the line. 1st is good, 3 point game. The 2nd could put it away.....and does. Here comes UK, doesn't matter. 3 at the horn rims out, UConn survives. -

Shot clock off, 29.4 left. Williams hits the first to make it 3, 2nd is also good. 4 point lead. Putback good, 18 seconds left. UK down 2, UConn ball. UK out of timeouts. -

Boone with a floorball on the 1st free throw, that's right it didn't even make it to the net. Misses the 2nd too, but UConn gets the board and draws the foul. -

CBS better send Packer and Nantz to DC next weekend. Those 2 calling the George Mason vs. Wichita State sweet 16 game=surefire spectacular television. -

Make that 2 elite 8 teams gone with UNC losing. If UConn loses i'm going to burn my bracket and piss on the ashes. -
Where you at now Nantz and Packer? Assholes.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 10:41 AM) Mike Davis: "I thought it was a great officiated game. We just shot a lot of three's. They went inside and we fouled them. I was really pleased with the officiating." He's proven to be out of his mind all season, so him saying that does nothing to change my mind. Also, fixing a game now is easier than ever since people like yourself are the majority and in denial that your precious games could possibly be dirty. -

QUOTE(Spiff @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 07:05 AM) Oh yes the game was fixed, we all know how much America wants to see those Washington Huskies succeed. What we have here is a scandal the likes of which haven't been seen since Watergate, and it was discovered by none other than soxtalk itself. Let's launch the investigation; I want subcommittees, I want hearings, I want accountability. You don't seem to understand that gambling goes beyond what teams have the most prestige, and what matchups CBS thinks they can promote.
