People making that comp are referring to the violence in both deliveries and the pedigree of the school propping up the stock of each player. In those respects, I think the comparison is valid.

That trade has gotten much better looking in the past 3 months.

A 3-4 starter is a 2-3 WAR player. An .800-.850 OPSing Gold Glove 2B is a 4-5 WAR player. That's the difference.

It's not worse by much, and C is a much more premium defensive position than 3B.
