  1. Yes, something like that would work much better. pwn3d is right.
  2. I do find it ironic that conservatives are the first to say they want to keep the government out of their lives as much as possible, but what happens when they get in power, they're like kids in a damn toystore.
  3. I have vague memories of middle school and I know kids are mean, but they are going to be mean no matter what. Middle school kids being mean is no reason for the government to step in to say this group of people can't adopt kids
  4. It's not the parents fault the kids get tormented because the parents are gay. It's the other kids' fault
  5. Tormented by who? I can't remember tormenting any gay kids when I was younger.
  6. I personally think any team could win the AL West this year.
  7. I don't wish an injury on any player, but if someone has to be hurt it might as well be a Cub
  8. I hate the Cubs as much as any red blooded Sox fan, but comparing Garland to Prior might be taking things a bit too far. :fthecubs :fthecubs
  9. I understand there is a lot of strong feelings about what she did during Vietnam, but standing in line at a book signing to spit in her face is crossing the line of acceptable behavior. There are more acceptable ways of showing your dislike. Maybe try not buying her book
  10. He must think think there's these gay televangelists going around trying to convert everyone.
  11. That has to be the absolute dumbest thing I have ever read. They would rather leave the kids in fosterage or wherever than let them go to a loving family. I'm on a business trip in Texas at the moment and I heard one or their politicians talking about this on the radio. He was talking about the bill and the reasons behind and said something about how kids raised by gay parents were like 10% more likely to be gay. I kept waiting for him to get to the point behind and I realized this was his point. Let's just deny the kid any kind of normal life growing up because of his moral objections.
  12. At the rate he's going, he's at least going to make it throught to game 7 of the world series
  13. Why do people keep assuming that we can trade Ben Davis for something? The only way to get rid of him would be to pay most of his salary so we might as well keep in the minors
  14. It kind of makes you wince just reading about it.
  15. The media has too much invested in showing how great a pitcher Woods is to let something like that out. But I'm not cynical or anything
  16. Just slightly off topic, Nuke, I think you should do the same number of shots as Crede has homeruns, ex when he hits number 3 take 3 shots. That could make the game pretty interesting. It could be the Joe Crede drinking game
  17. I guess the media has already picked there team for the Chicago. Now it's up to the Sox to give notice that there is another team there and so far they've been doing that this year. They won't be able to ignore the Sox much longer if we keep winning like this.
  18. I think we might be seeing a little bit of the payoff of all that hype we heard when he was in the minors. He was supposed to be the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel
  19. Yeah, when people outside Chicago hear "Sox" they automatically think Red Sox. I'm not sure why though. They haven't won that much more than we have and Boston is sure as hell not a bigger city.
  20. I think the whole anti-Cubs attitude you see is from the fact that all we see and hear about concerning baseball in Chicago is about the Cubs. Even outside of Chicago. I'm down on a business trip in Midland TX of all places and I've counted 6 or 7 people in Cubs hats. Maybe we've begun to define everything about Sox baseball in comparison to the Cubs because of our constant exposure to it.
  21. They're not going to show anything resembling controversial about Kerry Woods.
  22. I think I'm actually a little afraid of her. There's at least 3 or 4 personalities inside there.
