2016-2017 NCAA football thread

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 2, 2016 -> 11:02 AM) Any coach worth his salt is going to demand more money for assistants and HUGE upgrades to the facilities which are some of the worst in the conference. Purdue doesnt seem to have any interest in doing any of that. Purdue announced a plan last year to put in 65 million in renovations for the football facilities http://www.hammerandrails.com/2015/12/20/1...he-21st-century -

It sounds likePurdue will probably announce Brohm on Monday as the new head coach. I'm ok with them hiring Brohm. It didn't seem like Fleck wanted to come at all and Miles was always a huge longshot. -

It sounds like he pressured players to play through injuries -
QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 30, 2016 -> 01:34 PM) With all the tweets and gotcha moments in the campaign, isn't it obvious the public is fighting back against PC? We just elected a person who offended almost everybody imaginable on social media. People are sick of the PC stuff. Again, Trump offended everybody and the country elected him president yet we're just waiting for the next 'gotcha' tweet posting. But the majority of voters didn't vote for Trump.

QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 22, 2016 -> 05:28 PM) Have fun with that horrible AD Purdue actually got a new AD back in September. Though even as a Purdue fan, i have no idea why Les Miles would want that job. -
They are also making up for things that aren't covered by insurance. A speaker at a seminar I was at last summer was talking about analytics in medicine and using that to drive what doctors order or are allowed to order. His lab had to charge 50 dollars for a 6 dollar CBC to make up for genomic testing and other tests that doctors order that he wasn't going to get any money back for.

How is this possible for all his family members to be given all this access? Don't we have nepotism laws for this kind of scenario?

QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Nov 8, 2016 -> 02:02 PM) Coulter Says Trump Wins Easily If Only People with 4 American-Born Grandparents Vote This is funny because neither Trump nor his kids meet this criteria, and almost all black Americans do, and probably a lot more Mexicans than she thinks. My die hard Republican grandmother wouldn't be able to vote because she had a grandparent from Ireland.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Oct 22, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) You're right, exotic parrots are deplorable... I recant and apologize profusely. I agree, I have wild parrots living in my neighborhood and they are terrible.

So why would the director of player development move to third base coach? Seems very puzzling.

Indiana people can check if they are registered or not and see their ballots at this website https://indianavoters.in.gov/PublicSite/PublicMain.aspx

I guess the bar for Trump to win is he doesn't start smashing the furniture or start dry humping the moderators.

All the analysts seem to think Trump won. Not one mention of him threatening to put Hilary in jail.

I'm seeing some rumors on Twitter that Pence is asking to be removed from the ticket. No confirmations on it yet though.

Almost 30 minutes in, and we've had 1 question from the audience.

I'm pretty sure Herm Schneider is safe. He's been here since the 70s if i remember correctly.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 08:36 PM) He paid zero taxes That makes me smart! god damn Just when i thought i couldn't hate him more, he says things like this.

I was really hoping this was a false rumor. This is so sad.

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Sep 23, 2016 -> 12:05 PM) Vue advertises it has ESPN (nothing about WatchESPN). I never tested it against ESPN.com or any live-updating app to see if there's a delay though. With Vue, you can use it as a provider for a lot of the actual network apps and use them instead of the Vue app. I tried Vue on my Roku and i hated the interface.

Fivethirtyeight.com still has 64% chance of winning. It also shows her being slightly ahead in Florida still. http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2016-election-forecast/

New Wilco album, Schmilco, came out today. Terrible name but a pretty solid album.

Speaking as someone with 2 children with an autoimmune disease, I'm ok with making it mandatory for everyone having to get their vaccinations. They are on some pretty strong immunosuppressents.

It's good that he admitted he screwed up, but the whole incident shows that he isn't familiar with the Syrian Crisis at all. I think any candidate should know the rudimentary basic facts of such a major issue by this point.

Back in the 1800s Presidents used to just blatantly sell federal jobs to donors with the spoils system

I didn't realize until recently that Zach Collins and Trey Michalczewski are basically the same age.
