Thank god we are now making the obvious moves. For awhile that wasn't happening.

most teams have s%*# players somewhere on the 26 and 40 man. But bad teams like the sox have been don't have any stars and lack even average regulars. I'm not going to get that upset about back end s%*#, at least as someone noted they seem to be churning through them faster. that said, find some fucking good players.

From what I've read he's consensus but things can change quickly based on the new data that will come from the college and prep seasons. The good thing is that all three of the SS at the top right now are worthy of 1,1 in a weaker draft -- and Roch at the top right now makes it a strong one with them behind. Plus, I'd always prefer to take a position player 1,1 given injury and that downside risk.

It's nice to have depth. We finally have some up the middle.

Emerson has one of the strongest arms I've seen from a HS SS. Perfect game clocked him at 90mph and you can see that in the film on him.

There's never a "good value" in a FA signing. Value isn't the reason you sign premium FAs. It's to win and signal that you're trying.

My off the bat impression is that the Roch kid and the Grady kid both look nice AF. Can't go wrong with either at this point. We'll see how the season goes for the youngsters.

Some video of Grady Emerson: Smooth AF at SS, I was getting mad at him patting the ball in some other highlights then he throws 95 mph and it beats the guy by three steps. From the plate looks a lot like Teel imo. Compact lefty stroke, power potential.

So basically injecting 1,1 and then like 25-30th if they play their cards right at 42. Not bad at all. Could get a star and then another B+ type prospect just in two picks.

Not sold on the Roch guy but if nothing else looks like a good thing to have a "safe" option on the board heading into the prep and college season. Not a fan of drafting an average athlete at SS but it's not like Jeter was a quick twitch guy so obviously you can have a helluva career at SS regardless.
