Oof, that wasn't even close. Can't blame the batter for that HBP.

Lotta junk from this guy. Might take a time through the lineup to get on him.

That "cutter" acts like a changeup. Huh. Solid pitch to get Chase there.

Sox sign Altavilla
I mean it's just bad process. I'd rather go spend 600K on a new field for our Latin operations or some s%*#.

Sosa should be batting 6th but whatever. Win 2/3.

Thank God for the Rockies
It's important to remember he was also the GM last year...

AAP: Colson Montgomery
Clearly the problem is his adoption parents abandoned him.

5/29 Games
That was certainly my hope. It...was hopeful. He probably can play SS as a backup and maybe CF but he was horrific in the corners and his bat stunk too. He might just be a AAAA guy. I dunno might as well just let him get regular experience down in AAA, he's still got a couple years of development in house even as a fast rising college pick before you can really say what he is. It's probably nothing but no rush to get him back up given current health of roster.

Thank God for the Rockies
It would be really nice if we hit on both Montgomerys and they can provide 50 HR a year and 100 XBH. We have some table setters and lineup movers, need some boppers.

Thank God for the Rockies
I sorta want to like this post but at the same time we're still playing like 32% ball and we don't really have any "damn good players". We have a couple guys who might be pretty damn good eventually but for now the best we can really say is we might have some solid regulars. Crochett was a damn good player. Smith is for now a solid 3rd starter. That's what I'm saying.

That sucks for him even if it doesn't really matter to the team. Bummer.- Keith Law - Updated Top 50
He's always been this odd mix of stats + the one time in person he saw a guy. That's his entire schtick. I like that he puts out a lot of content, quite a bit of it free, but he's just one voice in a big industry.- And that's a 9-4 White Sox winner!
he's a 1.5 WAR vet on a 3 WAR vet contract -- we'll be lucky to get a warm body in A ball and a semi prospect in AA. That said, I hope he gets hotter than s%*#.- Miguel Castro "right knee soreness"
Yea this was just a fluke, in wet conditions anything can happen.- Sox now Colas free zone
It still counts but he got off to such a horrible start that even being above league average with his xwOBA for about a month still has him below average overall. He keeps this level of play up however and he'll have a really fine season: bonehead mistakes can be cleaned up hitting the ball hard and playing a decent overall 2B is a solid floor.- What's the bullpen solution (knowing JR will never spend here)...?
The bullpen solution is to build enough org wide pitching talent to where you have failed starters and guys otherwise pushing for MLB experience but that are still potential starters to fill in slots like 1-4. Then for setup and closer you make smart signings. - Miguel Castro "right knee soreness"
